Meaning of social rehabilitation for clients in home care after limb amputation

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of clients after lower limb/s amputation and their social rehabilitation afterwards in home care. Beginning of thesis describes the current situation and the concept of social rehabilitation as one of the comprehensive rehabilitation process of people in early post-amputation stage. Next section of thesis shows difficulties that occurs after amputation and impact upon personal life that is materially changed. Describing the process of coping with this unpleasant health change is based on traditional model of two important people in this field Mr. Kübler-Ross and Mr. Křivohlavý. At the same time, analysis of the formal support system in Ústí nad Labem is being evaluated. This system provides support not only to disabled people but also to people who take infromal care of the one injured. Informal care plays significant role in the process of social rehabilitation of people starting new life stage due to physical change. In thesis are mentioned possibilities of developing skills of informal caregivers, usage of financial benefits for disabled people and possible providers support of medical and social services in a given location. Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem stárnutí a péče o staré lidi v rodinném prostředí. Co rodinu k péči o seniora vede a jaká jsou úskalí této péče. Jaké potřeby senior má a jak mu rodina může pomoci je uspokojit. Dále jaké potřeby má rodina jako pečující subjekt. Praktická část se věnuje tomu, jaké konkrétní pomoci se rodinám pečujícím o seniora může dostat na Semilsku a jak jí využívají. Uvedeny jsou i právní předpisy týkající se této oblasti a na případech z praxe je názorně ukázáno jaké instituce pomoc poskytují a jak jí pečující využili.

Competencies of a school social worker in the Czech Republic

The theoretical part of this work is based on current findings on social work and school social work. The aim is to discuss a possibility to establish school social work in Czech environment and also to highlight any possible obstacles. The first goal in practical part of this thesis aims to identify issues that schools are facing today and whether school social work could help to solve them. The second goal is to examine how members of pedagogical staff perceive the possibility of school social worker. The last goal is to identify the agenda of school social worker in Czech primary and secondary schools. The research was done in the form of semi structured in-depth interview and therefore provides profound insight and complex answers to questions related to school social work. Social services for family with children in South Moravia region

I focused my work on analysis of social services for family with children in one region in Czech Republic - South Moravia, with emphasis on services for threatened family or depressed family. My work is based on and has foot-hold on social service law. The objective of my work was overall review of present circumstances in providing social services for family with children in the respective region. Intent of my diploma work is giving to readers a basic overview about theoretical resort or let say a fall-back concerning a social services issues with family with children, especially with political and legal resorts and processes of social services deployment planning, and analyze current offerings of social services for family with children in South Moravia region. The essential parts of my analyses are demographic analyses based on official reports issued by Czech statistical office and analyses of Medium-term deployment plan of social services i South Moravia region in view family with children. The Possibilities of Empathy and Altruism Development in Pre-School Children"

(in English): There are different ways of pre-school children empathy and altruism development. The theoretical part of the thesis concerns aspects that according to experts play the most important role from the specific point of view and in the specific social environment. It contains an analysis of the master educational plan and available auxiliary literature. The thesis also specifies examples of empathy support in the Czech Republic and abroad and describes the everyday routine in several typical Kindergarten classes. The practical part gathers findings concerning children's empathy support in common practice through the qualitative research from the perspective of the Kindergarten staff. It also describes children's abilities and skills in helping others as well as their limits. The final part of the thesis focuses on the possible future implementation of the methods into the master educational plan using the acquired knowledge for the socially undesirable phenomena prevention.

Integration of disabled students at Charles University in Prague since 1989

Although the situation of disabled students at universities is generally improving, the social integration of these students is still difficult in quite a number of cases. This thesis is based on the premise that one of the most important conditions of a full and fruitful experience of student life is that students should be well-informed. In view of the advantages of modern information technologies (speed, accessibility, low cost) more and more information is being conveyed via electronic media. Students are expected to take an active approach to obtaining information from these media, but as with other forms of mass diffusion of information, here too there is a risk that specific information for minority groups, including disabled students, will be overlooked. Furthermore, physical disability represents a constraint on students that makes them particularly dependent on prompt, accessible and correct information. The integration of disabled students into the university is conditioned by the creation of equal opportunities for study and other activities that are part of university life. Possibilities of maintaining previous life style after spinal cord injury with permanent live-in personal assistance

V práci se zaměřuji na zmapování situace v oblasti terénních služeb pro osoby upoutané na invalidní vozík následkem poranění míchy a případnou aplikaci prvků livein osobní asistence v České republice. Část odborné praxe jsem absolvovala jako osobní asistentka pro vozíčkáře ve Velké Británii. Pracovala jsem pro agenturu, jejímž hlavním cílem bylo poskytovat co nejkvalitnější asistenční služby orientované na přání a spokojenost klienta. Agentura se zaměřuje na specifický okruh klientů, kteří žijí doma aktivním způsobem života, nepotřebují denně odbornou lékařskou péči, ale při uskutečňování svých potřeb a zájmů potřebují asistenci. Vzhledem k úzké specifikaci cílové skupiny žijí klienti agentury po celé zemi. Proto agentura zajišťuje tzv. "live-in" osobní asistenci. Služba je konstruována tak, že asistent nebo asistentka po určitou dobu žije v klientově domácnosti a asistuje mu. Tento typ služby má mnoho výhod jak pro klienta, tak pro asistenta. Obsah a délka trvání sistence se určuje vzájemnou dohodou, takže klient může vykonávat i činnosti, které by při službě na směny dělat nemohl. Klient může přesně vyjádřit svoje potřeby a řídit svoji péči. Asistent se velmi rychle naučí, co klient potřebuje, takže klient nemusí vše neustále opakovat. Clients' satisfaction with provided services at the old people's home and lodging houses in Prague 8 Bohnice

Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo zhodnocení spokojenosti klientů s poskytovanými službami v Domově důchodců a penzionech v Praze 8 Bohnicích. Tuto spokojenost jsem zjišťovala pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Dotazník obsahoval 20 různých otázek týkající se kvality poskytovaných služeb. V první části práce jsem se nejprve věnovala tématům, které souvisí se seniory, protože tato skupina je skupinou, na kterou jsem tuto práci orientovala. Zmínila jsem se o historickém vývoji péče o seniory, dále jsem pak ve své práci uvedla druhy péče a služeb, které jsou seniorům poskytovány v zahraničí a v České republice. Druhou část jsem věnovala domovům důchodců a jejich funkci a náplni. Třetí část jsem zaměřila na Domov důchodců a penziony v Praze 8 Bohnicích. Jmenovala jsem zde služby, které jsou zde seniorům poskytovány. Tyto jmenované služby byly právě obsahem poslední části této práce, ve které jsem je zhodnotila. Toto hodnocení vycházelo ze spokojenosti klientů s poskytovanými službami v tomto zařízení. Jak jsem se již zmínila klientům byly rozdány dotazníky, ve kterých se vyjadřovali k poskytovaným službám. V některých otázkách odpovídali buď, že jsou spokojeni nebo spokojeni nejsou. Ve zbývajících otázkách měli možnost konkrétně vyjádřit svoje názory a připomínky k poskytovaným službám. Supported employment and social enterprise

Na počátku roku 2006 České republice působí 3 sociální firmy, několik set výrobních družstev invalidů a přibližně 40 poskytovatelů podporovaného zaměstnávání a příbuzných služeb. Poskytovatelé podporovaného zaměstnávání jsou neziskové organizace, nejčastěji občanská sdružení, sociální firmy jsou dceřiné projekty neziskových organizací a výrobní družstva invalidů jsou soukromé firmy. Většina poskytovatelů podporovaného zaměstnávání je sdružena v České unii pro podporované zaměstnávání, střešní organizaci, která si klade za cíl podněcovat rozvoj podporovaného zaměstnávání, poskytovat know how, vzdělávat odborníky a kontrolovat kvalitu poskytovaných služeb v oblasti podporovaného zaměstnávání. Několik desítek výrobních družstev invalidů je sdruženo ve Svazu českých a moravských výrobních družstev (SČMVD), střešní organizaci, která podporuje činnost a rozvoj sociálních družstev: je realizátorem Projektu pomoci a podpory zaměřeného především k seberealizaci osob se zdravotním postižením na Moravě a Vysočině, jehož cílem je komplexní předávání zkušeností v oblasti zakládání a řízení sociálního družstva, vzdělávání lidí chystajících se sociálně podnikat, asistence při získávání finančních prostředků a pod.
