Analysis of chosing text into reading books for 2nd grade of elementary school (focused on 9th class)

Resume Principle of this bachelor labor is to analyze texts in reading books for pupils of age 11 to 15. It is focused on adolescent reader mainly. I tried to find out whether articles in reading books have respected a pupil as a specific reader with specific needs, interests and preferences. I analyzed six different reading books in my labor. Each of them represented another author's style of writing. My analyses on reading books have been more complex. First of all I have made short characteristics and next I closely analyze articles from different aspects, e.g. representation of national and world literature, representation of female and male writer etc. Part of my labor was a survey among pupils of ninth class which compared theoretical information's gained from specialized publication, information from questionnaires and the present state of adolescents reading. I tried to find out what is the interest in books or reading in a sequence on texts in reading books for pupils of age 11-15.
Fantastic motives in prose with children's hero by Iva Procházková

I especially devote myself in my dissertation work, whose title is "The fantastic motives in prose with children's hero by Iva Procházková", to the analysis of prose of Iva Procházková that are intentionally designed for children in which the child finds himself in a position the main hero and there are fantastic themes also occuring there. They are namely the following literary works: Wednesday tastes good, Marco and the magic horse, The Owl's song, Vincent goes to Africa, Eliah and the granny from the egg, Rhubarb, where are you? and Mice belong in heaven. but shouldn't stay too long. I allude to the plot, I interpret their meaning. I focus mainly on fantastic motives that occur in them and I am trying to clarify their function in prose with a child hero. I draw attention to the metaphorical (or symbolic) dimensions. Iva Procházková is ranked among the best authors for children and young people who currently we have. Her literary works were not intentionally designed for children but no one completely processed it. I proceed mainly from publications of Svatava Urbanová and Milena Šubrtová, but I also try on my own viewpoints, particularly on issues relating to the fantastic motives. Working with Jiří Stránský's book Tales for little Clara in the kindergarten

The thesis deals with the possibilities of developing emergent literacy, especially story comprehension, with preschool children using selected methods of critical thinking. The theoretical part is devoted to the ways of developing passion for reading and reading literacy in preschool education, it pursues the possibilities of using some of the methods of the RWCT programme (Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking) in working with books in the educational process of the kindergarten. It further describes the development of chidren of preschool age and reading strategies that can already be cultivated at this age. The practical part describes the project Working with Jiří Stránský's book Tales for little Clara that is based on didactic application of its texts intended for preschoolers. The project makes use of selected methods of the RWCT programme. Research using the method of structured interview finds out how methods of critical thinking can influence story comprehension among five-year-old children. It evaluates and interprets the findings from the beginning and the end of the project implementation, compares the determined levels of story comprehension in a group of girls and in a group of boys. Relation of narrative of novels and computer games

This paper tries to characterize relation between narrative of novels and computer games. In its first part it points out specifics of the narrative of videogames, but also shows how narrative used in literature reacted in a form of multiform stories. It defines the possible kinds of relations between these two media (genetical influence, influence of structural analogy, influence of functional similarity, influence of shared contextual functioning, metatextual relation and changes caused by shared influences of perception), shows possible directions in which they can be used and finally it shows some of the prominent examples from both media to make these relations clearer. The main interest of the paper is then influence of structural analogy because of comparison of possibilities in both kinds of narrative. Historical literature in the first and second classes of grammar school

Main goal of this thesis is to test efectivity of teaching grammar school literature based on one book only. Secundary goal is to make teaching of historical literature for grammar's school first and second year students more attractive. This thesis is based on five worksheets, every one of them is designed for different literary aim. All of them are based on book "Můj Golem" wrote by Marek Toman. Lectures are governed by three-phase model of teaching which combines different methods for work with pupils. This thesis proofs that, use of one book in long-term tuition with different attitude, combined with appropriate goals and attractive methods, is one way to teach literature. Also this thestis helps making rather unpopular subject of historical literature more attractive to students.
Zavis from Falkenstejn: The Story of Medieval Magnate in Fiction of 19.th and 20th

Tato diplomová práce si vytkla za cíl zmapovat, jakým způsobem se v české beletrii 19. a 20. století objevil příběh středověkého velmože Záviše z Falkenštejna. První čtyři kapitoly představily jednotlivé historické romány a dramata, v nichž vystupuje postava Záviše či jsou Závišovy osudy alespoň dostatečně zmiňovány, kapitola pátá potom shrnula, jakým vývojem téma prošlo, jaké tendence se projevovaly při jeho uchopování. V tomto ohledu byl tedy cíl práce naplněn. Nebylo by však možné považovat ji za kompletní, kdyby nepřipomněla, že s koncem 20. století ještě neskončil zájem o závišovskou tematiku.
Using reading workshop for reflective reading in the 2nd grade of basic school

Cílem této diplomové práce je ověřit funkčnost a efektivnost systému dílny čtení pro rozvoj přemýšlivého (reflektivního) čtenářství a budování kladného vztahu žáků k vlastní četbě v podmínkách literární výchovy 2. stupně běžné základní školy. Systém dílny čtení je založen na poskytnutí příležitosti žákům číst knihy dle vlastního výběru a sdílet s ostatními své postřehy a prožitky z textu, čímž se ve třídě posiluje společenství čtenářů. Jádrem práce jsou velmi praktické aplikace poznatků amerického i konkrétního českého modelu dílny čtení vycházející z mého učitelského působení, během něhož jsem tento systém realizovala ve dvou šestých a jedné sedmé třídě v upravené časové dotaci a podobě tak, aby korespondoval s ŠVP. V teoretické části práce se zabývám charakteristikou pubescentních čtenářů, která spolu s faktory pozitivně ovlivňující výsledky čtenářské gramotnosti v mezinárodních výzkumech přináší argumenty pro zavedení systému dílny čtení korespondující i s komunikačním pojetím literární výchovy. Práce shrnuje a zužitkuje odborné prameny týkající se pubescentních čtenářů a popisuje součásti a podmínky dílny čtení. S oporou o vlastní výukovou praxi popisuji nároky této formy práce na učitele a její slučitelnost s RVP. K praktické části práce mi dobře posloužila i sonda pro učitele realizovaná formou...
