The issue of health and social care for an aging population of the Czech Republic

In recent years the Czech Republic as one of the developed countries faced with the ongoing trend of demographic aging population. The growing proportion of elderly and especially very old people in the population places considerable demands on health and social care, particularly in the financial sustainability of these systems. Therefore the aim of this paper is to estimate the possible future development of their financial situation. Demonstrating the ongoing changes in the population structure of the Czech Republic is proved the seriousness of graying population, given the current character of health and social care. Estimated financial imbalance using my own simplified model encourages to develop proposals for the solution of various factors affecting the income and expenditure of the system. These solutions are further analyzed in the last chapter.
Development and importance of immigration in the Czech Rebublic

The aim of this bachelor work is to describe the benefit of migration for the Czech Republic. The immigration represents the only way to preserve the number of population and economic activity in the majority of developed countries, in which we see the natural decrease of the population. This work studies, which flows of migrants were used the most in the history of the Czech Republic, how much they are used now, which nationalities immigrate, what look their age structure and economic activity are, why they prefer the Czech Republic and if they adopt our reproductive habits or they preserve their origin habits. Next the work analyses the migration policy of the Czech Republic and it targets on positives and negatives caused by these new foreigners. The important part of the work consists of an analysis of the impact on a labour market. It proves that the migration can preserve or even reverse the situation, when the productive generation is decreasing and the index of economic dependence is increaseing. Next part is focused on the international comparison. It compares, which the levels of migration other neighbour states reach. The conclusion of this work tries to find out a probable development of tendency of migration in the Czech Republic.
Changes in the level of selected demographic characteristics in the light of the past two censuses

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to clarify the differences between the last two censuses, which took place in 2001 and 2011. Theoretical part is defined by the historical development of the census until 1991 and also details the theoretical requirements and differences, which consisted in changing the methodology of data collection a type of survey data. Case study in practical part of the thesis is comparing selected specific demographic indicators derived from the census. These data were economic generation, education, economic activity and commuting population in the districts of the Středočeský region. In the end, all the essential results of such studies are summarized and explained the difference to.
Analysis of fertility in the Czech Republic in selected periods within the context of political and social development

The objective of the thesis is to analyze development of fertility in Czech Republic in selected time periods. There is a question of whether the important political and social changes affect the reproductive behavior of the population or not. The task is divided into two main parts. The first, theoretical part describes the historical background, political and social changes that occurred from 1940 to 2012. Also the theories of family policy and state support for families with children are described. The second part, practical one, is prepared by using data from Czech Statistical Office. Here are graphically illustrated demographic indicators mainly fertility, the average age of mothers and first-time mothers and the net reproduction rate. The observed data are then confronted with the historical context. The work suggests that significant social and political changes actually affect fertility. This effect, however, is only temporary. In the observed period, there was not such a strong impulse, which would affect the behavior of young families permanently.
The family as a phenomenon of the past

This work focuses on family issues and its development from 1989 to the present. By analyzing the demographic characteristics and sociological facts are trying to determine whether the education of the child is still determined by marriage or otherwise under the common coexistence of household. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first analyzes the demographic characteristics associated with households. The second chapter is devoted to the concepts of family and household. The final chapter contains data analysis of the Labour Force Survey for the home. In conclusion, we find the reflection on the future development of family issues.
Foreigners and their impact on the economy of Czech republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is based on available and acquired data to bring issues concerning foreigners in the Czech Republic. Analysis of the number of foreigners, the number of residence permits and their integration into Czech society are very important factors in the knowledge that immigration is becoming the only option while maintaining the reproduction of population and the consequent sustainability of economic activity. A very important part is to get an overview of the possibilities of foreigners and their subsequent opportunities in the labour market. The most important objective of this work is to provide a comprehensive view of the issue of foreigners in the Czech Republic, in terms of integration, family behaviour and their employment. Furthermore, this work investigates the impact, although positive or negative, foreigners on the Czech economy.
Influence of Family Policy on the Development of Demographic Processes Focused on Pardubice Region

The object of this essay is to examine the development of family policy and its effect on changes in demographic behavior of the inhabitants in the Czech Republic and the Pardubice Region during the period from 1989 to present. The first chapter describes the institution of the family and forms of family policy at the national and regional level. The theoretical part is followed by the second chapter, which analyzes the individual subsidies of the state to support families with children. It also includes a graphical representation of indicators describing trends of natality, fertility, nuptality and divorcity which may be affected by the government action. The last part contains an analysis of empirical research, which verifies the results of the previous chapters in practice. By the results, solutions to the current situation are suggested.
Phenomenon of “singles“ in the CR after the year 1989

The Bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of singles, especially in connection with changes which occurred after the year 1989. This work explains the origins of the phenomenon and also the causes and the consequences of the singlehood choice, so it disproves preconceived incorrect notions. Attention is also paid to alternative relationships, position of singles on the labour market and finding a suitable marketing strategy for this particular segment of customers. The practical part analyses the results of the undertaken research which aimed to identify young people's level of knowledge about singles. Households of individuals were selected as an indicator which probably describes the phenomenon in the best way.
Influence of social policy on natality

The level of natality in the Czech Republic is getting lower, which can have a bad impact at future population. The task of this thesis is to define social policy and social protection in the Czech Republic, United Kingdom and Switzerland. The main purpose is to verify or disprove the influence of social policy on natality in these states. This thesis also compares demographic and social indicators and looks for possible connections. The last part includes a recommendation how to improve a family policy in the Czech Republic.
Family behaviour in the Czech Republic

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the demographic analysis of changes in family behaviour of the population of the Czech Republic especially in period before and after the year 1989. The first part defines terms related to family and family behaviour. Besides, it also outlines the historical development of family and important influences on changes in population thinking. The analytical part of the thesis deals with various indicators such as fertility, abortion, marriage and divorce and their demographic comparison over time. The third part is devoted to current trends influencing family behaviour and the final fourth part outlines its main implications of changes and also shows the expected future development.
