Random number generators evaluation
Svoboda, Martin ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is random numbers and the problem of their testing. The thesis presents methods of generating random numbers and many statistical tests of randomness. Part of the work is a description of an application created for testing random numbers, which contains a set of 23 statistical tests of randomness and 5 integrated generators. In the last chapter, various types of generators and keys created by quantum key distribution are tested using the application.
Cryptographic coprocessors for IoT microcontrollers communication protection
Český, Michal ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis outlines the issue of how communication can be secured within the IoT. The microcontroller itself can also be used for this purpose, however, security will never be assured as it will be when using a hardware cryptographic co-processor. To generate the keys and certificate, the ATECC608B coprocessor is chosen which holds the necessary "secrets" used to secure the communication. As a demonstration of the cryptographic coprocessor functionality, the ESP32 microcontroller is connected to the AWS server where all the connections to the server are established using the cryptographic coprocessor.
ICT tester
Tatar, Martin ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the extension of the ICT Tester plugin module which allows the user to digitally sign the generated outputs and with the testing of selected DoS attacks that are implemented in it. In the theoretical part of the thesis, selected types of DoS attacks are analyzed, it is described how they work, how to defend against them, examples of significant attacks that actually took place are included and Apache JMeter is described. In the practical part selected attacks are created and tested. Then the new funcionality for digital signature is implemented.
Log analysis of active network elements
Kajánková, Petra ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
The master thesis focuses on the issue of searching for malicious activity originating from authorized users who have permission to modify devices. The theoretical part first introduces the basic network model ISO/OSI, together with TCP/IP. It then focuses on the two most well-known logging protocols, the Syslog protocol and SNMP. The practical part of the work consists of the theoretical design and subsequent implementation of the program that is able to evaluate records of events occuring on individual network devices.
High Availability firewalls
Frátrik, Tibor ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dedicated to researching the possibility redundancy of firewalls, especially commercial, software or hardware firewalls. The theoretical part describes individual firewalls and their redundancy options. The diploma thesis was more focused on two specific firewalls: ASA and Pfsense. As part of the practical part, topologies were designed and implemented for testing the redundancy of these firewalls. Dynamic address translations (NAT), VPN connection status, either site-to-site or remote-access VPN connections, and TCP connections were selected for testing. Finally, the results for individual firewalls were compared. Where it was mainly researched and compared, how the computer network reacts to redundancy in individual types of firewalls.

Laboratory task of the electronic access control system
Maňásek, Tomáš ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to study and describe access control systems. Based on the supplied components, design and implement an EKV system on the teaching panel. Design a laboratory task lasting 90 minutes for the created system and prepare documentation for students and the teacher for this task.
Block cipher mode of operation
Kunert, Alois ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with Operation modes of symmetric ciphers. This thesis deals with both basic operation modes and with newer operation modes that offer additional functions. A conceptual design was made in semestral thesis, which was realised in this thesis. Finally an analysis of the basic operation modes, implemented in the web application ,was made to make a comparison between the measurments taken in the semestral thesis.
Stress tester
Lanžhotský, Karel ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the matter of stress testing using open-source tool Apache JMeter and it’s extensions. Main output is the extension of the module which allows to produce DoS (denial of service) attacks. At the beginning of the thesis, there are characteristics for this type of attack, what types of DoS exist with some examples. After that, there’s testing, verification of functionality and finding of errors in extension modules. At the end thesis is dedicated to adding features to DDoS module and testing of capabilities of the attacks on created scenarios.
