The demise of the Intermediate -Range Nuclear Forces Treaty: analysis of the position of the Russian Federation
Svobodová, Markéta ; Kolenovská, Daniela (advisor) ; Šír, Jan (referee)
Markéta Svobodová, 2019/2020 Abstract The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) served as one of the cornerstones of bilateral nuclear arms control between the two world's main nuclear powers, the Soviet Union (later the Russian Federation) and the United States of America. The Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and the U.S. President Ronald Reagan signed the treaty on December 8, 1987, and by that both of the states for the first time in history became obliged to eliminate a whole class of weapons - land-based ballistic and cruise missiles with range from 500 to 5500 kilometres. The INF Treaty continued the trend of attempting to use arms control measures in order to increase mutual trust and strategic stability, starting in the beginning of 1960s, when the world had been brought to a brink of a nuclear catastrophe by the Cuban Crisis. Signing of this treaty lifted the imminent nuclear danger stemming from deployment of the modern and more effective Soviet SS-20 weapon systems, which was followed by the deployment of the Pershing II missiles by the U.S. in Western Europe. Not only did the INF Treaty introduce an unprecedented verification regime, it also held a symbolic value of a step towards overcoming the Cold War tensions. However, after 2005 the treaty found itself under the pressure of...

Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Mgr. Markéta Svobodová Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Dalibor Šatínský, Ph.D. Title of the rigorous thesis: Determination of beta-carotene content in sour cherries by HPLC In this rigorous thesis, we determined the presence of carotenoids (trans betacarotene, cis beta-carotene and lutein) in 18 cultivars of sour cherries. Cultivars: Rannaja, Meteor, Krasnyj flag, Pandy 45, Muskatnaja pražskaja, Erdi jubileum, Griot Moskovskij, Valkova, Mesabich, Gorsetin, Inga mladi, Naumburger osheimer, Pandy 6039, Körös, Morellen fever, Wolyňská, Heimann's rubín, and Višňa IV/155. The optimized method was taken from the diploma thesis of Štěpán Růžička - HPLC method development for carotenoids determination in fruits (2017). In the chromatographic method, we used a Supelco Analytical RP-Amide column (100 x 4.6 mm, 5 μm) and carotenoids were detected at a wavelength of 450 nm. Measurements were carried out in the isocratic elution mode with a mobile phase of acetonitrile: hexane: dichloromethane (97.5 : 1.25 : 1.25) at a flow rate of 1.8 ml / min at 30 ř C. The analyzed samples were extracted by ultrasound into chloroform. After centrifugation, they were filtered and injected to the HPLC column. The sample volume was 5...

Svobodová, Markéta ; Vochocová, Lenka (advisor) ; Miessler, Jan (referee)
This MA thesis is devoted to podcasting, one of the phenomena of new media. It describes its origins and development; in greater detail it deals with the present state and characteristic features of podcasts from the viewpoint of their contents, forms, user practice, ways of financing, and also technological perspectives. Attention is focused on elements which interconnect podcasting with radio and radio programmes and also on their differences. The phenomenon is presented in the context of chosen concepts related to web 2.0. Several chapters focussed generally on the development and present state of podcasting are devoted to the situation in the Czech Republic. The research part then provides insight into the present situation from the point of view of independent podcast creators, with whom half-structured interviews were carried out. On the basis of a qualitative analysis of these interviews, several types of attitudes to podcasting and a number of factors related to production of podcasts were identified - primarily motivations to create them as well as some discouraging aspects. Further results of the analysis concern motivation of the authors to listen to podcasts of other creators, their view of the present state of affairs in the sphere of podcasting in the Czech Republic, and their...

Svobodová, Markéta ; Velíšek, Martin (advisor) ; Čech, Viktor (referee)
Bachelor thesis Body as a canvas - paint on the body in fine arts and art education Markéta Svobodová, duben 2018 ABSTRACT My work begins with the mapping of the transformation of the ideal of beauty and the controversy with this concept. I describe the history of the makeup including the technological and social background of this phenomenon. I also introduce selected works from the history of fine arts, where color is important on the body or on the face. Then I formally transform selected works from art history into forms in which the human body and color will be the main key component. Finally, I reflect this topic into the art, where I focus mainly on portraiture.
