Digital device for supervising and evaluating outdoor activities

This project deals with development of portable electronic device which brings new opportunities to leisure activities and their evaluating. At first, analysis of devices available on market and their acquisitions is made, then tips and ideas of new activities, which would be played with digital devices, summation of features, that the device would do, choosing adequate components, their assembly, configuration and programming. After it, domonstration of the device is described and this document is summarized.
Road detection using data from mobile robot camera

Bachelor thesis deals with the problem of road detection by mobile robots using data obtained from its camera. First, current solutions are researched and considered for use in the proposed algorithm. Afterwards we define limit parameters of the entire solution. An automatic process using human-created reference was then devised to programatically determine the accuracy of individual versions of proposed solutions. First, an initial version of the solution was implemented, which was subsequently optimized and accelerated using GPGPU. Lastly, proposed algorithm is evaluated and possible future changes are outlined.
Automatic music transcription

This article deals with the automatic music transcription into the music notation by Fourier transform with logarithmic scale and constant Q transform. The result of this work is application, which converts the music records, in the WAVE music le, into the MIDI le. Then MIDI le can convert into the music notation by appropriate tool. Algorithm for automatic music transcription can converts polyphonic music record, where plays more tones at one time, with simple rhythm.
Computer simulator for education

This bachelor thesis is divided into several parts. The first part consists of an introduction to individual parts of a processor and some of its peripheries. Next part of thesis is a research of existing educational and demonstrative tools usable in education. Results of the research were compiled into requirements for educational system. Using those requirements, and design of an architecture for educational processor for education, not only on FEEC BUT was created. As a next step, there is described a procedure, that led to a creation of a working simulator of the designed processor. Last part of this thesis is a design of several educational exercises, that demonstrates principles of computers and programming in a machine code and an assembly language.
Robotic manipulator for ionizing radiation sample measurement

This bachelor thesis is interested in designing of robot manipulator for measurement of active samples for ionizing radiation laboratory of Department of Electrical Power Engineering VUT Brno. The goal is to create robotic manipulator which will be easy to manufacture, easy to control, absolutely reliable, cheap and accurate enough. So, it will radically reduce time consumption of measurement of neutron field. Construction is based on FM-SYSTEME aluminium structural framing, manipulator is controlled by Arduino Nano and movement is provided by stepper motor Microcon SX23-1414 and drver TMC2208.
System for monitoring of devices connected to the computer network

The bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of the web application for monitoring of the network devices. The thesis describes the design and functionality of the web interface that is used for fast and simple monitoring of the connected devices in computer network. The work also addresses the security of the web interface and the design of database structures. Further, the work describes briefly the characteristics of SNMP protocol and other important tools for obtaining the monitored data. The API of the web application is described in detail, including hints for building stand alone applications based on it. Work also contains a brief user guide for end users.
Laboratory assignment for HCS 08 microcontrollers

The goal of my bachelor thesis is getting acquainted with serial buses I2C, SPI and 1-Wire and their implementation in communication between microcontroller NXP MC9S08LH64, temperature sensor, real-time clock circuit and shift register. The thesis also focuses on hardware connection with necessary circuits and behaviour of software functions used during data exchange.
A convolutional neural network for image segmentation

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to learn more about the problem of convolutional neural networks for image segmentation. This theme encompasses the whole field of computer vision. Particular attention is paid to the image segmentation process. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the basic principles of artificial neural networks, the structure of convolutional neural networks and especially with the description of individual semantic segmentation architectures. Part of the thesis is an example of practical applications of image segmentation. An important part is the SYNTHIA database of images, where its properties are shown. At the end of the thesis, the terms and requirements for hardware performance and software needed for good network performance are described in more detail. The Keras framework has already been used, which already includes functions for working with neural networks.
Automated optical measurement of drops contact angle

Measurement of surface tension of solids usually requires manual processing of photographs of droplets of liquids with known properties on the measured material's surface, during which the contact angle is manually determined. The objective of this work is to implement an algorithm that can determine these contact angles from photographs and does not require the photographs to be made under specific light conditions. The implementation cannot depend on paid libraries and must be simple to incorporate into existing software.
Radiography image preprocessing tools

This thesis deals with design and realization of methods of preprocessing of X-ray images and its storage. In the first part of this thesis, there were designed and implemented methods for preprocessing of series of X-ray images such as averaging after image registration or merging of images to a HDR image using Debevec method. In the following part of the thesis, there was done a literary research of data formats based on which was implemented a library for x-ray images storage. Both implemented methods allow to reduce a random noise by merging a series of images. Application of the Debevec method also allow to increase a dynamic range of image.
