Bullying in Basic Schools: Solving the Problem from Pupil's Point of View

Title: Bullying in Basic Schools: Solving the Problem from Pupil's Point of View Abstract: This diploma thesis deals with bullying at primary schools. The theoretical section describes the definition of bullying, bullying division, the stages of bullying, its protagonists, and the procedure of current best practice in the prevention and eradication of bullying. The aim of the empirical part is find out how effective The Minimal Preventive Programme is in one particular Prague primary school. Research was carried out through interviews. This paper presents views and ideas of how to solve the problem of bullying from the student's point of view. The results of the research show that the goals in bullying prevention have been fulfilled. The school prevents bullying, teachers and students are sufficiently confident in this issue. Preschool-aged children's relationships to senior citizens and its reflection in preschool education

The thesis deals with the relationship between seniors and preschool children, both within and outside the family circle. The theoretical part is focused on family, its function and historical transformation and shows the effects of today's family forms on intergenerational relationships. Further focus is on the encounter of children and seniors outside the family circle, particularly in terms of intergenerational programmes and activities. It defines the terms of age, preschool stage and specific needs connected with particular stages of life. The thesis explores other means of dealing with this issue (literature) and supports it. The aim of the study is to compare and contrast theoretical knowledge of today's family relationships with information obtained from a selected sample of families, and also to find out to what extent parents are aware of intergenerational programmes organized at their place of residence, ie in Prague 8. The practical part examines the support of the relationship between preschool children and seniors in selected kindergartens and the inclusion of this area into school educational programmes.
Support of health in the curriculum of the Nursing College and Secondary Nursing School in Prague 1

The topic of the following thesis is the health promotion included in curriculum of Special Medical High School and Medical High School in Prague 1. The aim of a qualitative research is to find out how the school adopted the possibility of health promotion in its curriculum and other educational documents, what is the life style of the teachers and their particular experience in health promotion during their classes. Three different data collecting techniques were used when doing the research: semi- structured interviews with selected teachers; class observation; analysis of relevant pedagogical documents. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the history and presence of the schools selected, pedagogical documents and also with chosen pedagogical staff. Further it informs about specific school health support projects. The practical part contains final results of qualitative research which shows that the topic of health support is included in many areas of chosen documents. Its following realization depends not only on financial possibilities and capacity of the school but mainly on particular teachers and their responsible approach to this issue within their lessons and lifestyle. Health literacy of beginning teachers

One of the areas concerning the medical literacy is the first aid giving. The aim of this diploma thesis is to answer the question whether the skills of beginning teachers concerning the first aid are on a sufficient level and whether the teachers are able to react adequately in emergency situations. The theoretical part describes the bases of these skills. It analyses the accident rate of children, professional training of teachers, new methods and projects how to increase the medical literacy of teachers. The practical part provides the results of a questionnaire survey analysing the first aid skills of beginning teachers. It observes whether the level of teachers is sufficient and whether they are able to react properly in health endangering situations. It also discusses the opinions of teachers concerning the first aid giving and the general vision of the first aid area in school environment. The conclusion of the survey shows that the teachers' first aid skills are not up to standard and that teachers assess the professional training concerning the first aid as insufficient. The content of this Diploma Thesis is represented by the view and opinions of children on the problems of the bullying behaviour. The thesis includes both theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the thesis explains some scientific concepts related to bullying, it presents the forms and views on bullying, it adverts to the direct and indirect signs, that can help the family or the school reveal the fact of existing chicane. The work also deals with the causes of bullying behaviour, and tries to find out how school can prevent and possibly resolve bullying. In this thesis, we can find the particular stages of bullying, the most frequent locations where bullying takes place, the risks and consequences that all come with bullying as well. The practical part is realized through a research. The collection of data was run at Basic School Mazurská in Prague 8. The Diploma Thesis describes the objectives of the research, the essential working hypotheses, the methodology and organization of the research. The text includes a questionnaire, which was given to children who participated in the research. Hanušová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT The thesis is focused on training students of the branch Exotic Animals Keeper regarding the course and organization of the professional training. The practical part is focused on safety and health protection at work in vocational training in this field. It is concerned with examples of risks at some workplaces in the zoo that the students can meet and cope with and examples of accidents and injuries that really occurred in the past. In the discussion there are recommenda- tions how to avoid possible injuries, with put the accent on importance of detailed and ongoing safety training so that students accept the safety rules automatically and these became an integral part of their professional growing and activities in the future.
