Javůrková, Jana ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Theme: Evaluation of stability level of athletes (14-15 years) by MFT S3 Check Aims: The aim of this diploma thesis is evaluation of stability level, sensomotor and pose symmetry of both-limb posture by MFT S3 Check system at a selected group of children attending an athletic club. I used the comparison of values between a group of girls and boys. Methodology: The level of stability, sensomotor and pose symmetry was measured in the course of the race season. The data was measured by MFT S3 Check system and further one leg stand test was used. Measurment was supplemented with a questionnaire survey. I used the comparison of values between a group of girls and boys Results: In the test MFT S3 Check the girls achieved above-average evaluation in the index values and stability sensomotorics than boys, who were evaluated in the test below average. The sum of the average values of divergences from the ideal ratio at both monitored levels were lower by 0.15 at boys. There was proved a medium dependence of body weight and BMI values on the level of stability. Shoe size, incidence of ankle injuries, nor the results of the one leg stand test had no impact on the level of stability. Key words: senzomotor, stability, symmetry, 14-15 years, athletics, testing
The most common injuries in basketball
Mocik, Antonín ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: The most common injuries in basketball Objectives The purpose of this thesis is to find out, by survey, which injuries are the most common among basketball players across various skill levels and age categories. At the same time, the purpose is to also find out the causes of these injuries, and whether or not rehabilitation was used during recovery. Methods: I gathered all the data necessary for this thesis via an unstandardized annonymous survey, which I administered to a study group. I analyzed the data that I collected through graphs and tables, and then I prepared the final analysis based on the results of the survey. Results: The conclusion of this thesis is based on the results of the survey. Based on the responses of the survey, I have come to the conclusion that the most common injuries occur in the lower limbs, especially in the knee and ankle joints, and specifically sprains. The cause of these injuries is the dynamic and aggresive movement of the game. Once fatique sets in, players overestimate their abilities, their coordination worsens, and they are at greater risk of these injuries. Health aspects are introduced as a part of the study too. The fitness training, in a basketball environment, is characterised by a connection of a perfect technical performance and a high level of a speed and power requirements. It is very important to apply all exercises in an areal and temporal distress. Therefore, a basketball game has very high demands on a motor coordination, dexterity and a performance speed. Title: Injuries In Basketball And Their Potential Prevention Objectives: The objective of my work was to define injuries which occur in basketball and to suggest prevention that can eliminate the birth of injury or speed up the convalescence. Methods: Research and comparison from foreign and Czech literature. I excerpted from literature and suggested potential prevention. Results: I ascertained that the most common injury is injury of lower limb, especially the injury of hock joint. The second mostly affected areas are knee ligaments. Most usual kind of injury is distortions (sprain) which is caused by direct contact with other player during the match. The cause of the distortions are frequent changes of direction, landing on the court or trodding on opponent's foot. Keywords: Basketball, injuries, prevention, regeneration

Title: Attitude toward Physical Activity in Children of Age 8-10 Years Objectives: Main goal of the paper is to examine and then compare attitudes towards physical activities for school children of age 8 - 10 years using a questionnaire CATPA Grade/Year 3 in 2014/2015. The survey was done in small towns Žamberk and Letohrad. I have also compared observed results to other surveys made during previous years. Methods: The survey of attitude toward physical activity was done in grade 3 and 4 of elementary schools in Žamberk and Letohrad in June 2015. I have used a data questionnaire known as CATPA Grade/Year 3. The research was done in cooperation with master teachers according to provided guidelines. I have obtained opinions from 176 pupils (104 boys and 72 girls). Results: I compared six attitudes of boys and girls and I have found differences especially in X5 - aesthetic dimension (higher value in set of girls) and X3 - danger dimension (higher value in set of boys). Furthermore, I observed differences between sport-living town and a town without sport enthusiasm. Janikov, Martin ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Speed training in strength and conditioning preparation of youth basketball players Aims: The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the effectivity of the training program designed to focus on development of speed abilities in category under fourteen years basketball players. Secondary aims are determination of relationship between practice attendances, number of games played, changes of body height, body weight and body composition of the players on their acceleration, maximal speed and agility tests performance. Methods: For this thesis was used experimental method, which concentrated on observation of speed development in two groups of players, each with different conditions defined by training content. We used measuring, testing and interviewing for data gathering purposes. To assess the relationship between all parameters and their explanation we apply analytic and comparative methods. For evaluation of relationships was used Pearson's correlation and p-value for determination of statistical significance. Results: The main hypothesis, presuming relationship between anticipation in our training program and improvement of speed abilities, wasn't confirmed by our calculations. The results were calculated for following tests: 20 m sprint (r = -0.12, p = 0.69, n = 14), flying 15 m run...

While evaluating the answers, I focused on general and experimental questions separately. I sorted them into five different fields: available coaches, training sessions, their structure and content, available material background, the selected team-skeleton and the stress they have to undergo during individual matches or tournaments. Finally, I considered the obtained results and compared them between the clubs themselves as well as with the theoretical outlets I've...
