A light source with variable intensity
Koždoň, Jakub ; Mojrová, Barbora (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work is focused on description how the light impact human live, description of light sources and finally design and construction of light source with adjustable colour temperature and luminous flux. In introduction is mentioned the process of vision and how the light impact humans. In next part is characterization of currently used light sources, their construction, properties, benefits and drawback with their main parameters. Important part of this chapter is more extensive description of light emitting diodes with their operational parameters. The last two parts is focused on design and measuring the parameters of created light source with adjustable colour temperature and luminous flux and evaluating the results.
Deposition and optical properties of thin films and layered structures by PECVD
Kucharčík, Jan ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Čech, Vladimír (advisor)
Thesis in theoretical part is focused on the principle of spectroscopic ellipsometry and formation of thin films by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). In the experimental part we describe the deposition system, ellipsometer and mathematical evaluation of ellipsometric data, materials used for film formation and processing of the samples. Single-layer and multilayer structures of polymeric materials were prepared. We revealed that the optical properties of thin films are independent of film thickness. We also described the effect of the effective power and deposition gas mixture on optical properties of thin films.
Design of the sinusoidal high voltage source
Uherek, Jaromír ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
Object of the master´s thesis is design of a high voltage power supply for testing insulation materials with output voltage 50 V - 2 kV at fixed frequency 50 Hz. The power supply is controlled by personal computer and measured data are sent back to the personal computer. The Universal Serial Bus (USB) is used for communication between the PC and the device.
The Use of AFM Measurement Method in Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells Technology
Mojrová, Barbora ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hégr, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the use of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy (KPFM) in solar cells production. Both techniques measure surface properties using interactions between surface and tip that progressively scans entire surface of the sample. Atomic force microscopy allows three dimensional imaging of surface structure. Kelvin probe force microscopy is used to measure the contact potential difference on the sample surface. There are described experimental measurements of monocrystalline and multicrystalline substrates after various etching processes using AFM. By using KPFM the contact potential difference was measured on dielectric layers PSG, SiOX, SiNX and Al2O3 and on selective emitter structures. All experiments described in this work were carried out at the Solartec Ltd. workplace and they completely correspond with the actual technology of crystalline solar cells production.
Smart hydrogen sensor
Kašpárek, Petr ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to get familiar with organic sensors developed at the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology. The outcome is the implementation of smart hydrogen detector which is based on use of these sensors. This device will allow to test and use relevant sensors outside the test apparatus placed in the laboratory of the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of technology.
Push-Pull switched power supply with symetric outputs
Burda, Petr ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
Laboratory push – pull switching power supply with symetrical output 2x0-30 V/5 A, primarily through adjustable controls (buttons, rotary encoder position) and then displayed on the alphanumeric LCD display. Management and communication device between the user and the power supply of the microcontroller ATmega32 - 16PU.
Measurement of C-V characteristics of photovoltaic solar cells
Šťavík, Jaroslav ; Hégr, Ondřej (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The work deals with the measurement of CV characteristics of photovoltaic cells and the consequent derivation of the free / bound charge in the volume. It also discusses factors that influence these measurements.
Dynamic testing of solar cells
Šneidr, Radim ; Hégr, Ondřej (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The content of this thesis is the validation of the method of dynamic testing of solar photovoltaic cells. Testing methods for determining the parameters of the photovoltaic cell replacement scheme has been verified through testing a set of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells. To accelerate the diffusion capacity measurement and to improve reproducibility of the measurement we propose new method of determining the time constant for diffusion capacitance using a combination of two short pulses. For this method of measurement new scheme for dynamic tester timing has been proposed and implemented.
Diagnostics of passivation layers for crystalline silicon solar cellls.
Sládek, Karel ; Hégr, Ondřej (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The work deals with a comparison of existing and perspective types of passivation and anti-reflective coating for silicon solar cells. The theoretical part describes the appropriate methodology for the characterization of these layers and focuses on the passivation layers based on Al2O3. The practical part describes design and verification operations of the equipment for measuring of the amount of fixed charge in the passivation layers using corona discharge. It also describes the implementation of equipment and the results of indicative tests for positive and negative polarity of high voltage. The final part discusses the possibility of equipment improving.
Testing of hydrogen sensor based on organic materials
