China in Africa - Comparison of Sino-African Relations in the years 1960-65 and 2000-2005
Svoboda, Jan ; Peterková, Jana (advisor) ; Knotková, Vladimíra (referee)
Sino-African relations have recently become a hot topic. Chinese cooperation with the African continent is becoming more and more important not only in the field of politics but also within the economic relations. This thesis deals with two five-years long periods in the 60s and at the beginning of the 21st century. It analyses the dynamics of modern Sino-African relations in a variety of aspects.
ASEAN and challenges of its external integration
Svoboda, Jan ; Stuchlíková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Hnát, Pavel (referee)
This paper is focused on an analysis of current regionalism in Asia-Pacific region and on evaluation of creation of relatively wide and relatively deep regional integration. Possible benefits of this integration concept can be exemplified by development of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) whose member states have substantially different interests due to historic and socioeconomic reasons. However, ASEAN was able to overcome these different interests by a specific integration model which is based on mutual trust, consensual decision-making and gradual changes. As a result, natural suspicions were eliminated to some extent and member states were able to deepen their integration. Main powers in the region noticed its success and they began to strive to develop closer relations not only with ASEAN, but also with other regional powers through ASEAN structure.
The Evaluation of the Realization of the Plan of Social Service in a Chosen Locality
Svoboda, Jan ; Sedláková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Havlíčková, Ivana (referee)
Bachelor thesis analyzes and evaluates the community plan and its implementation in the region of Domazlice. It uses a methodology that was developed for the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. It focuses on the evaluation of criteria of quality of process planning of social services. It works with analyses, which were an essential base for the foundation of a plan, which led to the development of social services. This methodology was applied to the conduct of community planning of social services development in the region of Domažlice. The work offers the way how to improve further cycle of community planning.
Layered metal phosphonates and their intercalates – interesting inorganic-organic materials
Svoboda, Jan ; Zima, Vítězslav ; Melánová, Klára ; Beneš, L.
Metal phosphonates and their intercalates with amines, alcohols, aminoalcohols and diols were prepared and studied.
Organofosfonáty kovů a jejich interkalační sloučeniny jako anorganicko-organické hybridní materiály a nanomateriály
Zima, Vítězslav ; Svoboda, Jan ; Melánová, Klára ; Beneš, L.
We prepared several new phenylphosphonates and 4-carboxyphenylphosphonates of alkaline earth metals and copper and characterized them by powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, energy-dispersive X-ray analysis, elemental analysis and infrared spectroscopy. For four of these compounds, their structure was determined from their powder X-ray diffraction patterns using an ab initio FOX program. The prepared alkaline-earth phenylphosphonates with general formula MeC6H5PO3yH2O (Me = Ca, Sr, Ba) were found to be suitable hosts for intercalation reactions.
Biological evolution versus evolutional systems: Comparison of rat and robot acquisition in comparable dynamic spatial tasks
Telenský, Petr ; Jiroutek, P. ; Svoboda, Jan ; Blahna, Karel ; Bureš, Jan
Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment is inherent both to natural and artificial "inteligent systems". Our paper presents comparison of spatial learning in the living being (rat) and artifitial object (autonomous mobile robot controled by evolutionary system) using a similarily defined task. Individual chapters are given on rat and robot learning
Involvement of NK1.1 receptor in GlcNAc8-conjugate in regulation of antibody formation
Huliková, Katarína ; Pospíšil, Miloslav ; Svoboda, Jan ; Kuldová, Markéta ; Fišerová, Anna
GlcNAc8-glycoconjugates modulates antigen presentation and B lymphocytes antibody production through NK1.1 receptor triggering
GlcNAc8-dendrimer as a ligand of NKR-P1A receptor in effector-target cell interaction and G-protein signaling
Svoboda, Jan ; Kuldová, Markéta ; Huliková, Katarína ; Miller, R. G. ; Fišerová, Anna
GlcNAc8 glycodendrimer is a specific ligand of rat NKR-P1A receptor isoform. In effector cells triggers the Gq/11 protein-mediated signaling pathway, and induces subsequent changes in tumor microenvironment
Multivalentní glykokonjugáty ve studiu interakce lektinových receptorů NK/NKT buněk
Vannucci, Luca ; Pospíšil, Miloslav ; Rossmann, Pavel ; Chernyavskiy, Oleksandr ; Kubínová, Lucie ; Křen, Vladimír ; Luptovcová, Martina ; Svoboda, Jan ; Kuldová, Markéta ; Bezouška, Karel ; Fišerová, Anna
The events following the administration of GN8 in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo, lead to increased expression of CD69. The CD69-dependent IFNg production is modulated by co-activation of NKG2D and Ly49 receptors. Glycodendrimers can assist the dissection of activation network of NK/NKT cell lectin-like receptors in rat and murine models
The role of A2A adenosine receptor in NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity
Kuldová, Markéta ; Svoboda, Jan ; Kovářů, H. ; Kovářů, F. ; Šplíchal, Igor ; Fišerová, Anna
Adenosine receptor, NK cell, immunity systém, cytotoxicity, Salmonella typhimurium, colorectal carcinoma, murine model, newborn pigs model
