Experimentální studie-Vyloučení nadměrných vibrací kapalinovým tlumičem
Pirner, Miroš ; Urushadze, Shota
The new type of passive tuned liquid damper (TLD), which relies on the motion of liquid inside a movable rectangular tank with two degrees of freedom (horizontal displacement and rotation). The authors study the influence of vessel horizontal motion of and rotation on the damping of the vertical and horizontal vibrations of the footbridges.
Reliability assessment of CAMASUC method
Pirner, Miroš ; Urushadze, Shota
The ChAnge of MOde SUrface Curvature - CAMOSUC - was applied to the identification of the imperfection of a structure and its location about 1990, as stated by the authors of the method.
Dynamics of a spherical vibration absorber
Náprstek, Jiří ; Pirner, Miroš
Wind excited vibrations of slender structures can be reduced using assive vibration absorbers. If there is available only a limited vrtical space to install such a device, a spherical type of absorber can be recommended.
Interaction of a PVC-bearing with a bridge structure
Náprstek, Jiří ; Pirner, Miroš ; Fischer, Cyril
Long-term observation of bridges supported by bearings made of syntheticmaterials reveals a steady horizontal deformation increase of theseelements. This process can be very dangerous for the bridge as a whole.
The SBRA method as the powerful technique for probabilistic designin aerodynamics and aeroelasticity of civil engineering structures
Pirner, Miroš
In the area of aerodynamics and aeroelasticity the method SBRAis very profitable, it fulfils all requirements of designer fordetermination of the response to the loadings and calculation ofthe probability of failure.
An attempt of reducing vibrations of a slender steel belfry
Fischer, Ondřej ; Pirner, Miroš
A steel belfry with one bell of mass 176 kg ringing 70 strikes/mincould not be put into regular operation due to extensive, wellobservable torsional vibrations.
Rain-wind vibration of cylinderical constructions
Pirner, Miroš
The vibration observed under rain-wind conditions is a typeof instability. A simple mathematical analysis was presentedby Ruscheweyh, some aerodynamical values should be taken fromtests. The method SBRA can be used.
