The Field Trip on the Banks of the River Vrchlice Focused on Woody Plants with the Pupils of Secondary School

I chose the topic for my diploma thesis " The Excursion for the Elementary School Pupils along the Riverside of the Vrchlice River Aiming at Woody Plants". I took that topic intentionally just for several reasons. I wanted to bring a scenic valley of the Vrchlice river to pupilsˇ attention, to make the identification of woody plants more attractive in the natural scientific excursion, and to consolidate pupils' relation to nature and neighbouring environment. The first theoretical part deals with the general description of this valley and at the same time with the characteristic of animals and plants. Selected sorts of woody plants are described in the most detailed way as they became initial ones for working out worksheets and for the natural scientific excursion. The next part of the diploma thesis concerns inquiry research the goal of which was to find out the interest of teachers from nearby basic schools in worksheets dealing with the woody plants issues of the river Vrchlice. Worksheets dealing with selected wooden plants were elaborated on the basis of the research assessment. Those worksheets were verifield in the follow-up excursion. Assessment of minimal night-flows in the water supply network

This diploma thesis is focused on assessement of the minimum night flow in the water supply system. The first part of the work is focused on the research of foreign and Czech literature in the area of evaluation of water losses in water systems, evaluation and measurement of minimum night flow and comparison of values of individual indicators in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis, the minimum night flow is estimated and the water losses indicators are determined for selected DMA of Vsetin´s watter supply system, which is operated by VaK Vsetin, a.s.

Construction Order Preparation and Management from Aspect of Investor

The thesis statement is focused on construction order planning and management from investor point of view. The theoretical part consists of particular project phases including financing and public orders problematics. The theoretical knowledge is applied on specific public order. The town Nové Město na Moravě was asked for cooperation as an investor and the town provided the project Community retirement home for this thesis purposes. Whole practical part is focused on this public order preparation and management. All documentation related to this topic is contained in the thesis and the investor can use this documentation as a background for further projects. Last part of the practical part concerns the order funding, the financial plan is attached.

Construction Order Management in the Construction Company

This thesis deals with managing construction order in the construction company. The aim of thesis is to describe the process of preparation and execution of a construction. The theoretical part describes and explains basic concepts of project planning, then these concepts are applied to production of constructions. The practical part is based on my preparation of construction documentation on the construction project “Extension of production hall in Martin”.

ANALYSIS OF PREVALENCE OF VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY IN ADULTS Author: Jana Nováková Supervisor: PharmDr. Eva Zimčíková, PhD. INTRODUCTION Estimated vitamin D deficiency occurs in up to 1/3 of the population. Vitamin D deficiency occurs in a number of diseases and in different countries of the world. AIMS The aim of the theoretical part of the diploma thesis was to get acquainted with vitamin D and its deficit in general. The objective of the practical part was to map vitamin D levels in adults, to assess prevalence of vitamin D deficiency, to determine if vitamin D levels fluctuate over the course of the year depending on age or gender and how they are related to individual illnesses. METHODS PubMed and Embase database search was performed to find evidence on vitamin D deficiency in adults. Only studies in humans, published in English in the period from 2000 to 2016 were included. Non-systematic review was provided, the quality of the studies was not evaluated. RESULTS Overall, 84 studies were included. Most of the studies enrolled healthy adults (n = 34). Among the studies concerning various diseases, musculoskeletal disorders were the most prevalent (n = 13).
