Influence of leisure activities on development of municipalities in Střední Povltaví

This diploma thesis deals with leisure associations in municipalities, especially with influence of their activities on development of selected municipalities in Střední Povltaví. In the first theoretical part, there are analyzed key concepts for theme of diploma thesis such as social capital, leisure time, activity of association or development of municipalities. The next part presents the methodology of the thesis based on the grounded theory. The thesis contains a characteristic of municipalities where the case study was performed. This case study consisted in the evaluation of conducted guided structured interviews with municipal representatives, leisure association representatives and with residents of municipalities. Free-time activities in village Sokol buildings in Czechia

The diploma thesis deals with usage of a Sokol building for free-time activities in countryside in Czechia. Due to the political situation in the 20th century Sokol building have lost their original purpose. However, it is a symbol of Czech history that reminds of the founder of Sokol movement Miroslav Tyrš. The thesis includes the study of historical and geographical development of Sokol movement and it also mentions its contemporary situation. To fullfil the goals of the work it was necessary to study the historical texts about Sokol and discuss the fact why we study Sokol in geography field, especially sports geography and geography of free-time. The outcome of this final work was to prepare and realize a school geographical project. Swimming hall in Sušice: Impact of the investment on tourism at the given destination

Main goal of the thesis is to analyse this specific case of a free-time activity and its impact on tourism in Sušice. The thesis investigates the influence of building the swimming hall in relation to the tourism development in Sušice. City of Sušice does not belong to the main touristic goals in Šumava region. The author analyses even the steps of local city council according to interviews provided in local papers and other information sources, mostly provided by those changing the city in tourist friendly and attractive destination. The marketing has a great influence that can basically increase the volumes of visitors and whole image of the place. Functional changes of Prague Vltava islands

FUNCTIONAL CHANGES OF PRAGUE VLTAVA ISLANDS The aim of this thesis is to document and analyze functional changes of Prague islands on the river Vltava, with emphasis on their use for free-time activities. This work focuses particularly on the development of Prague islands during the last decade. Directed interviews with main contemporary personalities who are performing their activities on the islands, standardized interviews with visitors on selected islands and knowledge from field research were used to accomplish the aim of the thesis. The work on this thesis also included collection of historical materials (maps, photographic documentation) for a planned exhibition as one of the outputs of this work which would be a way how to present scientific results by popular means. Percepcion tourist destinations Špindlerův Mlýn and Rokytnice nad Jizerou by residents

The purpose of my thesis is the application of the concept of the socio-cultural-carrying capacity of the territory via example of giant tourist destinations Špindlerův Mlýn and Rokytnice nad Jizerou. For these two destinations basic information about locations are discussed in more detail; as a major ski resort, including equipment material and technical bases, and local infrastructure. In the theoretical part, I focus on definitions and explanations of concepts of tolerable capacity of the area, with a focus on socio-cultural carrying capacity. Furthermore, I discuss Doxey's irritant index which describes the relationship between residents and tourists. In the practical part I focus on the perception of tourism with these specific destinations residents. On the basis of results of my investigation to be carried out probable form of questionnaires and direct interviews, I assess the level of socio-cultural carrying capacity. Then conduct a comparison of the results obtained in Špindlerův Mlýn and Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The conclusion gives recomendation and a little reflection with satisfaction of the residents lifestyle in these communities and further development of these destinations from the perspective of residents.

Potencial a part of National geopark Železné hory for sustainable tourism Abstract Submitted thesis deals on the general level with issues of sustainable development of tourism in defined area of National geopark Železné hory. First of all in the theorethical part the tourism is set in the broader context and it is aimed to the issue of sustainability. One of the key part of this thesis is detailed analysis of geopark concept and geotourism, including possibilities of their practical application focused especially on the development of rural area. The main aim of the empirical part of the thesis is to analyze geotourist potential in defined area of Železné hory on the basis of field research between local participants and analysis of accessible materials from the area of interest. Ascertained pieces of knowledge relate to local cooperation in the process of creation and promotion of geotourist products, possibility of increasing the efficiency of current state of tourism in the area and region overall development. Tourist Attractions of Region in Teaching of Geography at High School: Case Study Středočeský Region

The presented diploma thesis is concerned with tourist attractions in Středočeský region - categorization and teaching of attractions as well as pupil's awareness about concrete attractions is presented. The theoretical approach is provided by examination of literature related to regions, tourism and by analysis of curricular documents. In the next part, tourist attractions in Středočeský region are categorized. Their inclusion into teaching has been studied at selected high schools therefore an inquiry among pupils and teachers of Geography was hold there. Subsequently, a way of integration of these issues into teaching is proposed and implemented - concretely by a method of school geographic project. The design and realization of a tool for an efficiency improvement of teaching Geography and the tool evaluation

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to create a tool for an efficiency improvement of teaching Geography at a grammar school, which is based on several criteria. The tool is then tested in practice and its impact on students' geographical knowledge is evaluated. The work is conceptually divided into two main parts. The first of them introduces fieldwork as is generally known and construed, because the tool is based on some of the fieldwork principles and is realized outside the school building. An analysis of Czech curricular documents is not omitted in the text. The second, more voluminous part deals with practical issues. The main part presents a concept of a particular field teaching and a description of its following implementation. Subsequently, a tool, which was used to measure the effectiveness of the realized fieldwork, is described in the text. Social Network among Recreational Localities Owners

The bachelor thesis analyses the case of social network and illustrating on the example of users of the second home. They are the specific group of people who also lives in rural area and who participates in the residential tourism. In the practical part there is an analyse of possibilities ot representing social network. Concretely there has been used a questionary research for the software UCInet and NetDraw, which has been done in urban landscape Česká Ves and Dlouhá voda in the district Bruntál. With these two software is made an analyse of relations in between these two urban landscapes with the dominance of recreational function.
