Use of subsidy resources for the implementation of the investment plan in the municipality

The present thesis deals with the use of subsidy sources in a municipality. Its objective is to describe the investment project and to evaluate the means of financing and influence on the development of the municipality. The theoretical part of the thesis delineates the investments, options to finance the public investments, and regional policy of the EU and its grant and subsidy schemes. The final part of the thesis outlines and evaluates the public project "Traffic Safety in the Municipality of Svésedlice“, which was co-financed from the EU subsidies. The efficiency of the project is assessed in the conclusion, along with recommendations to achieve improved efficiency.

Subsidies as a source for financing public construction contracts

This bachelor thesis deals with subsidies as a source for financing public construction contracts. The first part is focused on explaining the concepts related to the issue, such as investment, sources of investment financing, public procurement, etc. The second part describes the investment project of the municipality Mrákotín. This is the construction of a new sewerage system financed partly by subsidy sources of the Ministry of Agriculture and partly by a long-term loan. Based on the obtained information on the provided subsidies and loans and according to the results of the municipality's management in the years 2015-2019, other variants of financing this investment project were proposed.

Passive houses and their costs

The bachelor thesis is about the costs of construction and operation of a passive house. It compares the costs of construction and operation with a dispositionally identical building in the existing standard and determines the payback period of the investment. Terms such as passive house, energy performance of buildings, heat losses and heat gains are defined. Then the creation of prices in construction, cost calculations or budget indicators are elaborated. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to quantify the higher investment costs of a passive building, its savings in the operational phase and evaluation of the payback period of the investment.

Lower Cretaceous belemnites (including J/K boundary interval) in the NW Tethys, biostratigraphy, palaeobiogeography and palaeoecology

This thesis deals with the belemnite fauna from the Outer Western Carpathians Klippen, its systematic classification, stratigraphical and palaeogeographical evaluation. The palaeontological/palaeobiological approach, together with isotope analyses, including of carbon and oxygen stable isotopes and of strontium isotopes, enabled an integrated investigation of the palaeoecological conditions during the Jurassic/Cretaceous (J/K) boundary interval and the Early Cretaceous age. The Tethyan belemnites are not intensively studied in detail in the J/K interval, as they occur rather rarely in the sections, and/or sedimentary conditions were not suitable for their preservation. Therefore, belemnites are described only from a few sites in the Mediterranean Province. On the basis of recent research, the stratigraphic range of several species previously considered to be from the Tithonian age was extended to the earliest Cretaceous. By contrast, the Lower Cretaceous belemnites (since the late Berriasian) are more abundant. In the classical areas of the Tethyan Realm, it is possible to study the Lower Cretaceous belemnites in great detail and, according to their higher abundance, to determine an individual assemblage corresponding to stratigraphical intervals. Investments in residential areas with an impact on the development of the territory

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of investment with regard to the development of the territory. The theoretical part focuses on investment evaluation, spatial planning and the conclusion is devoted to territorial development. The practical part discusses two variants of investment in the preparation of areas for housing in the town of Holešov. In the first, the investor is the city of Holešov, in the second is the developer. The conclusion of the practical part connects the mentioned investment with the development of the territory.

Cross-border coopertion of the Moravian-Silesian Region

The topic of this diploma thesis is cross-border cooperation of the Moravian-Silesian region. It contains a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on regional development and regional policy, including the financing of development strategies. Furthermore, it covers the topic of cross-border cooperation and the characteristics of the Moravian-Silesian region. The practical part is focused on the investment project Hraniční vrch Lookout Tower located in the town of Albrechtice. This project was created in the framework of cross-border cooperation with Poland. Using the knowledge from the theoretical part, the outcome is processed as the evaluation of the impact of cross-border cooperation project on the development of the region in relation to tourism.

GIS in Building Practice

This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of using the geographic information systems in construction practice with a focus on facility management of buildings. The goal is to show the possibilities of use and the advantages that GIS offers in the construction industry thanks to its analytical and visualization capabilities. In the theoretical part there are basic terms such as BIM, Industry 4.0, GIS and facility management described. Furthermore, the possibilities of using GIS in construction industry and facility management of buildings are addressed. In the practical part the procedure of creating a GIS database for facility management is processed, specifically on information model of BUT FAST campus premises.

Issue of Housing and its Solution in the Village Kobylí

This thesis discusses housing issues and its solutions in a village named Kobylí. The theoretical part focuses on introducing the issues by defining basic concepts related to housing, local real estate market and evaluating feasibility of projects. The thesis provides an overview of current as well as historic data and graphs related to housing. In the practical part, a feasibility study is presented and focuses on an economic evaluation of a construction of a new apartment building in Kobylí, followed by requirements assessment such as an effectiveness of critical variables and a crucial input value from the investor's point of view. Lastly, this thesis identifies and defines new tenants of the building which is offering appartemnts, and evaluates whether the tenants can afford housing in their new apartment.
