Studium změn jakostních parametrů v průběhu zrání hroznů a jablečno-mléčné fermentace vín
Horák, Miroslav
The dissertation thesis focused on investigation of the influence of the leaf area on chosen quality parameters of grapes, on observation of the malolactic fermentation process and possibilities of its control. Literary section of the thesis includes characteristics of individual phenophases of grape wine with emphasis on the changes of substances content of grapes. Mechanism of sugars and acids creation and modification in grapes during ripening is described in detail. Possibilities of leaf area regulation and their influence on substances content of grapes are characterized. Another section deals with biochemical changes during wine production, especially with changes in substances content of wine during malolactic fermentation. The experimental part evaluates the influence of the leaf area on chosen quality parameters of grapes (soluble solids, titratable acids, pH, tartaric and malic acids content) of cultivars 'Pinot Gris', 'Sauvignon' and 'Riesling' in years 2008 -- 2010. The leaf area of each variety was measured in the 1st phase and average leaf area of one bush was calculated. The bushes were treated in three variants with different leaf area. It is obvious that the leaf area of the bush has positive influence especially on accumulation of sugars in grapes. The content of titratable acids in grapes was the highest by the bushes with the largest leaf area, though it was not statistically significant because there were big differences among vintages. The malic and tartaric acid ratio was ambiguous with regard to the leaf area, pH value of musts was ambiguous too. The influence of added pure cultures of lactic bacteria on the malolactic fermentation process was observed on three cultivars ('Blaufränkisch', 'Merlot', 'Cabernet Moravia') in the years 2008 to 2010. The effect of addition of lactic bacteria was observed on 5 preparations (Lalvin 31, BioStar Vitale SK11, Viniflora Oenos, Viniflora CH35 and Enartis ML Silver) and it was compared to spontaneous process of degradation. It was confirmed that the addition of pure cultures significantly accelerates the process of malolactic fermentation, it increases the antioxidant activity of wine, it decreases the production of diacetyl and other carbonyl compounds. Malolactic fermentation caused significant changes in color of biologically degraded red wines.
Design of linear axis for heavy machine tool
Horák, Miroslav ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of linear axis for heavy machine tool. The thesis describes the definition of heavy machine tool and its basic construction nodes. The next chapter describes the components of the linear feed assemblages, the basic principles of use and their advantages and disadvantages. On the basis of this research part there are selected variants of the solution and in the last part of the thesis there is a design of the axis X of the gantry machine tool. Part of the work is a 3D model of the proposed feed assemblages and part of the drawing documentation.
Lék nebo hrozba? Antropologické perspektivy samoléčby konopím v České republice
Bláhová, Barbora ; Horák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Halbich, Marek (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses specifically on the phenomenon of self-medication with cannabis (Cannabis Sativa L.) in the Czech Republic exploring subjective perception of this treatment by ill persons and its sociocultural framework. It describes a situation when the state fails to effectively regulate medical cannabis and patients often seek practices of self-medication, which remains illegal. Theoretical part of this thesis aims to explain the self- medication and cannabis use in the sociocultural context. Practical part is based on an anthropological research, which was implemented in the Czech Republic from January 1, 2017 to May 1, 2017 in a form of the on-line qualitative questionnaire survey. The research sample consists of 107 subjects, who used cannabis and its derives for self-medication. The analysis was done by the Grounded theory method. The results demonstrate that people who seek cannabis self-medication in the Czech Republic consider current legal regulation of cannabis objectionable. Cannabis plants for self-medication are usually grown at home and people find information about specifics of the treatment on-line. Looking at experience of patients, this thesis describes specifics of the practices of cannabis self-medication and it could be useful for organizations working with...
The collapses of distant worlds
Kozina, Václav ; Halbich, Marek (advisor) ; Budil, Ivo (referee) ; Horák, Miroslav (referee)
Diploma thesis "The collapses of distant worlds" deals with interpretations of the conquista of Mexico and Peru (i.e. the conquests of Aztec and Inca empires). The basic question, which all the works considering the conquista deal with, is: how could the arrival of small groups of Spanish conquerors disrupt great Indian empires in such a short time? My thesis has two main goals: to define the typology of interpretations of the conquista and offer my own interpretation which places emphasis on the role of mentalities and cultural complexes. I have distinguished four basic types of interpretations of the conquista: 1. the metaphysical ones; 2. the technological ones; 3. the environmental ones; 4. the mentalistic ones. I used the conception of mentalities (derived from the work of Lucien Lévy-Bruhl) and the system conception of cultur, where I worked with the term "cultural complex" especially. After my approach the conquista represented the clash between two different types of mentalities: the archaic one (which Indian societies featured) and the literary one (which was developed in European societies). Differences in mentalities and cultural complexes provided advantages to the Spaniards in their struggles with the Aztecs and the Incas. So finally the Spanish conquest of Indian empires is...
Chip conveyor
Horák, Miroslav ; Jonák, Martin (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the construction design of the conveyor selected on the basis of the research. The bachelor thesis describes the purpose of the chip conveyor and how it works. It is described here by which parameters the conveyor is selected, what are the types of these conveyors and the list of companies that specialize in their production. The next section describes the design of the conveyor for maximum versatility and a description of its design elements. Further, the strength calculation of the shaft and basic calculations of the other elements are made. The work is displayed in 3D visualization and is also accompanied by drawings of important detailed drawings.
The place of the traditional healing in life of people from the north-east Slovakia - Svidník district
Kollárová, Soňa ; Horák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Hanzlíková, Lucie (referee)
This diploma thesis makes a survey about ideas of the traditional healing, safety precautions and practices in life of people from the north-east Slovakia (Svidník city, village Kružľová and Svidnička). The basis of the thesis represents an interview analysis and interpretation of realized results from the view of traditional folk healing, psychotronics and contemporary medicine. The whole text is transcended of the reflexion of rationality and irrationality phenomena into the priciples and practices of traditional folk healing.
Plants of transformations: Using of plant hallucinogens by mexican indians in Oaxaca and by mestices in Peru
Horák, Miroslav ; Halbich, Marek (advisor) ; Komárek, Stanislav (referee)
This diploma thesis compares the use of natural hallucinogens by native groups of Mexican and Peruvian inhabitants from the cultural-ecological point of view. The basis of the thesis is an ethno-botanical analysis of the particular plant species containing this type of psychoactive substances, an anthropological interpretation of shamanism and a description of the particular rituals focusing especially on their curative function. Attention is also paid to artistic displays of shamans and healers. In the end of the thesis the ritualised way of using hallucinogens is confronted with the attitude to drugs of the present society.
