Car Steering Components Design
Hlaváč, František ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is construction of steering components for Formula Student monopost. Main components are steering rack with body partially made from carbon composite and bevel gearbox with Gleason gears. Part of this work is design of supports of those components. The work also deals with possibilities of usage of steering column made of carbon composite.
Anechoic Chamber Application
Lasota, Martin ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis presents evaluating of acoustic variables and anechoic chamber application. There are described physical requirements for the anechoic chambers. Part of this thesis deals with measurement of audio signals to calculation sound pressure level. The last part of this work includes audio signals of two microphone positions during the measurement sound source and finally their processing and evaluation.
Electronic supercharger for Formula Student
Matoušek, Patrik ; Šebela, Kamil (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to verify the application of the Electric compressor in the Formula Student monopost category. Diploma thesis is focused on the computational model and analysis of the combustion engine in the GT-POWER software. Outputs from this calculation are used for the design of the main parameters of battery pack. In the final part of the thesis, the monoposts with ordinary turbocharger and with the electric compressor are compared in the lap time simulation in the Autocross discipline.
Single-Cylinder Four-Stroke Engine for an Enduro Motorcycle
Kotiza, Tomáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
Diploma thesis is aimed on construction design of single cylinder four stroke engine. Conception of engine with cylinder capacity 450 cm3 meets the rules of Enduro E2 class and is adapt for application for motorcycle with extremely long swing arm according to the patent owned by Ing. Frantisek Krnavek. In the beginning of this thesis is analysis of engines this category and specific engine layouts in the motorcycles. After is design and simulation of engine parameters from which are created and described 3D models of engine parts. Conclusion is about durability calculation of main bearings.
Cylinder Deactivation for Internal-combustion Engines
Fridrichová, Kateřina ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on a technology reducing fuel consumption and emissions called cylinder deactivation. The evolution of the technology is described in the first part of the thesis together with explanation of the nature of fuel savings. The description of consequences associated with usage of the technology and possible design approaches for gasoline engines are written in the following part. The thesis also incorporates the results of test performed on diesel engines, where the technology is not currently in production. The last part includes other components used in engines with cylinder deactivation, especially vibration absorbers, together with some examples of application of this technology.
Electric Vehicle Acupack
Huk, Vojtěch ; Šebela, Kamil (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with electric vehicle batteries. The battery itself consists of many structural parts that can be made from a variety of materials and assembled in many ways. The first part of this thesis provides an overview of the characteristics a battery should have to achieve the requirements placed on it, and the methods available on the market to meet these requirements. The second part describes in detail the individual components of the battery, including their function and design. Special attention is given to battery cells, describing and comparing the technologies used in them, including graphical representation of this comparison.
Velomobile Pony 4 Towing Vehicle Design
Hrdina, Petr ; Šebela, Kamil (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on presenting alternative means of transportation for individuals and shipments in the context of growing awareness of the impact of transportation on the environment and deteriorating traffic conditions in large cities. The main objective of the thesis is to introduce available designs of cargo bikes and velomobiles, their accessories on the market, and propose a conceptual solution for manufacturing a hitching device for the Pony 4 cargo bike. This hitching device will enable easy and quick increase in the cargo bike's carrying capacity. The thesis also includes the design and production of a prototype trailer cart.
Two Stroke Engine Indirect Fuel Injection
Kovář, Michal ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with indirect fuel injection on new two-stroke engine for motocross sidecar. The purpose of this work was to design the fuel injection system together with length of the fuel injection times. To determine the fuel injection times, it was necessary to determine the complete exhaust system that affect the volumetric efficiency. The conclusions were based on research in the field of two-stroke engines and calculations determining the amount of fuel per one cycle. The injection method together with the location of the fuel injector and type of fuel injector that can be use were determined and then the injection times that can be entered in the ECU.
Crank train of a two-stroke automotive engine
Štrba, Matej ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the analysis and comparison of three-cylinder two-stroke engines with a displacement of 1000 cm3 of the Wartburg 353. The introduction of the thesis is a research that discusses the history of car production and development in Eisenach during the second half of the 20th century. The main subject of research is the engine, to which the vast majority of work is devoted. Using the available simulation tools, the cylinder pressure indication is determined, the crankshaft of the two engine variants is subjected to balance analysis, dynamic analysis in terms of torsional vibrations and bearing load is performed using the MBS method, then the two variants are compared.
