Legal regulation of the use of alternative energy resources

Thesis title: Legal regulation of the use of alternative energy resources The goal of the paper is to analyze the legal regulation of the use of alternative energy sources and to provide a summary and logical overview of this matter that is closely related to environment and climate protection. The greenhouse effect is frequent topic of current debates regarding the climate changes that lead the international communities to decision on limitation of greenhouse gases emissions by using among others renewable energy sources. The reason for my research is a long-term interest in renewable energy sources. The thesis is composed of seven chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of promotion of the use of alternative energy sources. Chapter One is introductory and provides the overview of the research topic. Chapter Two explains the term alternative energy sources and its relation to renewable energy sources. Chapter Three is divided into two subchapters dealing with international and European aspects of the climate protection and related law. History of the Czech legal regulation of promotion of renewable energy sources is provided in Chapter Four and the main issues are outlined. IN ENGLISH Atomic Law deals with the modern phenomenon of atomic energy and is constantly evolving. This thesis deals with the Czech atomic law. Given the seriousness of the issues in nuclear safety and radiation treatment is Czech law very consistent with the international and European level, as this work takes into account and includes. Due to a number of technical terms , which are necessary to work with, some of the terms are defined in the introduction of this thesis. These are the most common and very basic concepts, such as: "nuclear energy", "ionizing and non-ionizing - radiation"and also "atomic law". The thesis also covers some aspects of atomic energy in terms of the potential benefits and risks that come with its use entails. Furthermore, it pays attention to the legislation itself. The protection of landscape in the law This thesis deals with the legal protection of landscape, focusing on its general protection, i.e., the protection of the landscape outside built-up areas excluding its special protected parts. The main aim of the submitted thesis is to present the basic overview on legal institutes that are provided by the substantial law in force for general landscape protection and, moreover, to describe the most significant ones in detail. The thesis is divided into three chapters, each of them devoted to the study of various aspects of the issue under investigation. In the introductory chapter, general grounds of the landscape protection are described. It is subdivided into three parts. The first part attempts to give a precise meaning to the term "landscape". Further, the historical development of legal landscape protection is outlined in the second part. Finally, the third part deals with the significance of landscape, factors affected its current state, and reasons for its protection. Protection against noise and vibrations from the legal point of view

(English) The purpose of my thesis is to analyse possibilities provided by current legislation to protect individuals against negative effects caused by exessive noise and vibration. The reason for my research is that at the beginning of the new century noise and vibration became one of the most dangerous sources able to threaten or even demage men's health and environment. The thesis is composed of six chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of noise and vibration. There is always a short summary at the end of each chapter. Chapter One is introductory and defines basic terminology used in the thesis: sound, noise and vibration. The chapter is subdivided into five parts. Part One explains the physical and legal meaning of noise and vibration. Part Two describes the main sources of exessive noise and vibration. Part Three analysis negative effects on human health. This diploma thesis summarizes regulation of animal in human care protection. It describes international conventions and also European Union and Czech laws. It includes definition of animal and categorizations of animals. The status of animal in Czech civil law is content of this thesis too. On international level are the most important conventions of Council of Europe. The part of this work concerning European Union includes conceptual tools, primary law and secondary law. The main law in Czech Republic is the statute for protection of animals against abuse. In extreme cases of animal abuse or neglect of care about animals criminal law is there to protect them.
Rights to foreign property in energy sector

This diploma thesis deals with rights to foreign property in the energy sector (electric, gas and heat industry), which are regulated as Energy Act No. 458/2000 Coll. It deals mainly with easements, protective zones, and other public rights to property. This public nature is due to the fact that these rights are established by the law and in the public interest. The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the current and antecedent legislation of the issue of rights to foreign property in connection with the construction of the energy network infrastructure.
Comparation of legislation of National Parks in the Czech Republic and the Republic of South Africa

1 Abstract The thesis whose subject is Comparation of legislation of National Parks in the Czech Republic and the Republic of South Africa deals In detail with the legislation of national parks, especially in comparison of the Czech legal system and the legal system of South Africa, but also with the international law and European Union law. The aim is mainly to analyze in detail the individual instruments and institutions that govern the environmental law in relation to national parks and to acquaint the readers with scope of nature conversation in Europe and Africa. The thesis also serves and explains the basic terms related to the territorial regulation of national parks and protected areas (prior to national parks) on both continents. National parks are the most important type of protected area; they are declare by the state and in the scope of nature conversation national parks are the most crucial mean of conversation. The regulation of national parks is embodied in the laws of individual states; in the Czech Republic it is the Act on the protection of nature and landscape of 1992 while in South Africa it is the Protected Areas Act of 2003. Protection of the environment during mining activities

This Master thesis deals with the issue of enviromental protection in mining. Mining has negative on impacts on the environment and the goal of law on this field should be the minimalisation of these negative impacts. This master thesis offers a complex overview of issues brought about in mining from the initial stage of exploration and prospecting to its final stage of reclamation. First and second chapter of this thesis give a brief overview of mining issues and state aims of this thesis. Third chapter deals with the environmental protection in the stage of exploration and prospecting, fourth and fifth chapter allow an insight into delianation and mine opening procedures. Sixth chapter deals with mining itself and environmental protection during this process. Seventh chapter adresses reclamations and mine closures. Last chapter is conclusion.

Public guards and their role in the environmental protection

This diploma thesis deals with public guards and the role they have in environmental protection. Firstly, the thesis focuses on the explanation of the concept of public guards, their historical development and present legal regulation. Secondly, the thesis deals with particular public guards, which are hunting guard, forest guard, fishing guard and nature guard. Their legal regulation and evaluation of their work is discussed in separate chapters. The next part of the thesis is concerned with The Public Guards Bill 2002. Finally, the thesis deals with a critical evaluation of the role that public guards have in environmental protection and proposes several solutions for the improvement of their work. The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive analysis of public guards and to suggest solutions for the improvement of their activities.
