Jakoubek, Jiří ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
Title: Technique of Hurdle Clearing in 400 Meters Hurdles (Study Review) Authors: Jiří Jakoubek Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Aims: The aim of this thesis is to describe technique of hurdle clearing in 400 meters hurdle race using study review and to examine this technique at particular athlete during training and racing sessions in 400 meters hurdles race. Methods: Technique was compared and examined at young athlete. Two kinograms were used for analysis, one from training and one from racing session. The comparison was made using third hurdle in second track. One hurdle clearance from each training and racing session was used, where individual phases from hurdle crossing were clearly visible. For better and well- arranged comparative analysis the same athlete was always examined. Technique of hurdle clearing was analysed using 3D kinematic analysis. The captured record was transmitted into appropriate format and elaborated in Kinovea program. For superior quality of presented snapshots program Corel photo-point 9.0 was used. Results: The analyzed athlete was found to have imperfect technique of hurdle clearing. Different quality of technique during training and racing sessions used for hurdle crossing was apparent at several points. Among the nodal points of proband's technique, which were...

Bricín, Štěpán ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Title: Development of Czech achievements in jumping disciplines Objectives: We focused on achievements of the best jumpers from the Czech Republic and the world including the junior category in disciplines of long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole-jump in period from 1993 to 2016. We observed the development of achievements in particular jumping disciplines and then compared them with top achievements in the world during this time period. Methods: We observed and compared jumpers in disciplines of long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole-jump. We chose the 12 best jumpers from each discipline for each year. To have better clarity and more accurate analysis of data we worked then with group of best achievements, then with group of the average for top three, top six and top twelve achievements. We used basic statistical characteristics as the arithmetic average, frequency and standard deviation for the purpose of processing the results. Results: The best achievements of jumpers were unaffected by whether or not a top event took place in that year. To be in the group of top 12 achievements (CZ) it was necessary to jump in a long jump about 759 cm for men and about 616 cm for women. In triple jump it was for men at least 15,35 m and 12,65 m for women. In pole-jump men should reach about 5,2 m and...
Decathlon performance development
Chalupníček, Hynek ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Decathlon performance development Objectives: The aim of this thesis was the evaluation of the performance development in combined events during the period of 2009-2016 based on the results of world competitions and variability of the point structure of the individual decathlon. For these purposes were used data from world competitions that were afterwards compared in the way of winning performances and other atheletes. Methods: In this thesis was used the method of comparison and analysis of the best performances with the averages of the performance values of the first five best decathletes. Results: The results of this work concluded that the development of performance in the monitored period did not change significantly. As in previous years, athletes with outstanding sprinter-jumping results dominate in combined events, without obvious point losses in throwing disciplines. The development of performance was significantly influenced by Ashton Eaton and Trey Hardee, whose performance exceeded 8700 points. From the individual performance development of American decathlon athletes, Ashton Eaton confirmed the high efficiency of his best performance progress during the followed period. The difference in point scoring between the winners and other athletes were similar that showed high evenness...
Technique variability of athletic discipline old school athletes
Hykeš, Radek ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Title Technique variability of athletic discipline old school athletes Objectives The aim of the work was to find out how and to what extent the technical variability of the athletic disciplines in the category of the older stage in the execution from the place or from the short start, compared to the whole acceleration version, thus at a higher speed. Methods The thesis was conceived as a theoretical-empirical survey where quantitative and qualitative assessment of the level of fitness and technical readiness of probands was used Results The best rating, and hence the high level of variability, has tested No. 5, which has reached 0.71, pointing to excellent discipline technique even at higher speeds. This is followed by Test No. 4, which has reached 0.40. Testing shows that these two tests are at the same time the best in motor tests where they achieve above-average results, so we can state that the one who is at a higher level of fitness is better able to handle athletic disciplines and adds more speed. The test value 6 also reached the value of 0.20, which also means better technical performance at higher speed. The other tests were always worse in the higher-speed version, worst-tested 3, which deteriorated by 0.72. The other tests worsened by about 0.5. Key words Athletics, older school,...

Komínková, Linda ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Name: Individual performance development of young female heptathletes Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate and judge performance development of young female czech heptathletes aged between 16 and 19 years old. From the analysis their personal performance development and other factors that may affect their performance we want to find out which of them have the best assumptions to succeed in athletic heptathlon. Methods: The work was a qualitative research. Specifically, it was a case study. We collected data through document analysis methods. We evaluated performance development of each selected athlete. We used the comparison method to compare the performance development of each athlete considering to other heptathletes and Eliška Klučinová. Using a semi-structured interview we researched another information about their training and social, psychological, health and somatic assumption, which may affect their further performance growth. Results: From the point of view of the long term athlete development it is positive, that all athletes competed in heptathlon, but we think that Jana Novotná, Barbora Zatloukalová, Denisa Majerová and Tereza Vokálová have the best assumptions for athletic heptathlon. Jana Novotná and Barbora Zatloukalová have balanced performance in all events of...

Pavlíková, Tereza ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
Title: Athletics in physical education from the perspective of grammar school students Aim: The aim of this thesis is to determine how grammar school students in selected regions view athletics in physical education classes and their relationship to the sport as a whole and its individual disciplines. Methods: The thesis is based on the quantitative research conducted among grammar school students of third and fourth grades in selected regions of the Czech Republic. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analysed in Microsoft Excel and SPSS programs. Basic descriptive characteristics were identified and then processed into tables and charts. Results were verified in a manner based on the nature of the variables, using either the Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney non-parametric test or Spearman rank correlation coefficient. Tests were conducted at 5%, resp. 1% level of significance. Results: Athletics are perceived as negative by 40.1 % of responding students - with girls prevailing over boys in this group. The perception of athletics is mostly influenced by teachers of physical education, but also depends on the level of physical activity. Classes for the most part emphasize learning skills in various athletic disciplines, but grading still often reflects only the performance. The preferred...

Sachová, Zuzana ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
Title The use of methods FMS on athletes of category U16 - U19 Objectives: This thesis aims to point on the possibilities of a new method based on physio-therapeutic principles of physical preparation and training primarily of young athletes, named Functional movement screening (FMS), invented by Gray Cook. Most in particular the thesis is focused on what FMS method is and what possibilities are given to identify fundamental movement patterns of junior and teenager athletes. Short examination of the methods FMS was based on two tests invented by Gray Cook and evaluated on a group of ten athletes of category U16 - U19. Methods: The thesis comes out from two crucial works published by Gray Cook. Subsequently I resumed results found out in foreign articles and studies about methods FMS, its principles, relationship with athletic performance and prevention of injuries, as well as relevant norming data. My attention was devoted to studies focused on implementing FMS testing of young athletes. Therefore I decided to select two particular tests and conduct short testing on athletes of category U16 - U19. When scoring the quality of their movements, I've applied the criteria of the methodology itself first. Later there were extended by my own verbal evaluation of particular segments of tested movements. In...

Univerzita Karlova, Fakulta tělesné výchovy a sportu Abstract Title: The claims of technique in decathlon Objectives: The main aim of the thesis was to find out how our two skilled decathletes are able to cope with the demands on the technique in the jumping and throwing decathlons events within few monitoring years. We were trying to find strengths and weaknesses in technical events based on a comparison of the technical realization in selected events recorded at the best republic competitions. Then we were trying to define if there are some technical mistakes common to all the jumping and throwing disciplines, or if these mistakes are different for certain disciplines. Methods: In our thesis we used methods of observation, analysis and comparison. The observation method we have used was filming video sequences of our two subjects in national competitions. From these videos we continued to create photo sequences which we have used for analysis of the technical realization of selected events. The comparison method we have used during comparison of photo sequences for each technical event within a few years. Results: We found that the technical realization of these selected events has not changed within few monitoring years, only the pole vault was exception. In this event both decathletes improved their...
