Title: Influence of whole body vibration training on postural stability in selected sporting population Objectives: The aim of this study is to compare the influence of whole body vibration training on the stability of the human body and assessing the possibility of using this training method to improve postural stability in selected sporting population. Methods: 15 mainly beach volleyball players (athletes) were randomly assigned into two groups. Experimental group (n 8) in addition to their own training practiced twice a week on the Power Plate, while the control group (n 7) to continue the current practice of beach volleyball. The experimental group participated in a total of twelve units during the six-week exercise intervention. We reviewed the standard deviation and average values of COP displacements in the anteroposterior, mediolateral and overall direction of the COP path. For this purpose, we used pressure platform Footscan. Results: The results indicate a clear trend to improve postural stability at the beach volleyball player after a six-week intervention, whole body vibration training. Improvement was most noticeable in tests Flamengo (standing on one leg), in which the total COP path decreased for all probands at the right lower extremity and in six of the eight probands in the left...

Hank, Mikuláš ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
The aim of this study was focused on the quantitative evaluation of movement distance of elite female volleyball players in match, and the comparison between the values of selected players. For the evaluation in the study was used 3D kinematic motion analysis. The observed homogeneous group consisted of elite female volleyball players at CEV Champions League match (n = 14, age = 25 ± 6 years, height = 182.3 ± 6.2 cm, weight = 72.1 ± 5.8 kg). Overal were processed four sets, a total of 167 rallies. The average movement distance of one player evaluated from 167 rallies was 1259.89 meters, the equivalent of one rally was 8.8 m. The average movement distance of Libero in one rally was bigger than the other players' (9.6 m). Results of this study has shown an interindividual differences in final volume of movement distance between group of players that was participating in every rally (spikers, setter, opposite player) and players that were not participating in every rally (libero, blockers). Comparison of average movement distance of players in one rally has shown no significant difference.

Manda, Filip ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Zahálka, František (referee)
Title: Functional Profile of Performance Billiard Players Objectives: The main aim of thesis was to find out maximal functional characteristics and body composition of performance billiard players by using laboratory testing. Next step was to define load intensity during simulated match. Methods: There were used biomedical measurements as a body measuring, bioelectrical impedance, laboratory spiroergometric measuring by maximal stress testing. Field spiroergometric measuring was provide during simulated match in pool hall. To find the role of physical fitness in performance billiard were used half structured interview with open questions and online survey. Results: The findings show that tested billiard players achieve levels of physical fitness from average to very good values. But some of them are classified as overweight and obese. Long-time playing billiard does not have any important influence on asymetric composition of muscle mass of upper limbs. During playing billiard an oxygen consumption didn't get over 30% of VO2max and values of heart rate were between 39 to 59% HRmax. During playing billiard an energy expenditure grows from 222 to 330% of BM. Billiard energetic demands of tested players are moving between 14,6 kJ to 29,3 kJ. Another result of thesis is a statement about the role of...

Resumé Title: The analysis ofmatch plot- standard situation Work objectives: The analysis of fruitfulness and performance of the offensive activity during the standard situations. The determination of key factors leading to overcoming the rival's defense and scoring a goal at standard situations from the World championship 2006 and Champions leagues 2004/2005 a 2005/2006. Graphic demonstrations and description of particular standard situations which were finished with the goal. Methods: The research was accomplished by indirect observation from DVD with all goals scored at these competitions. There was used the qualitative and quantitative analysis at this research. There were followed all the elements of performance in each standard situation. The graphic demonstration of each standard situation has showed us the models, which we can break in to the training process and transfer to another performance group. Results: The results show us which methods of playing the standard situations were used at the world championship. Also the new methods which lead to scoring a goal and the frequency of appearance ofthese factors. Keywords: Football, the standard situation, the attack activity, free kick, comer kick, throw-in, penalty kick.

Palivcová, Lenka ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: Postural stability of near-sighted people Objectives: To analyse relationships between selected parameters of postural stability and impaired visual acuity (myopia), which is revised by optimal visual correction, by diffusing glasses or by contact lenses. Methods: Investigations of stabilizing capabilities of erected posture in its various modifications. An objective measuring was performed by stabilometric platform type Footscan. The experiment involved twelve people with myopia of -3 to -6D visual acuity of an average age of 23 ± 4 years. Myopat group of bipedal standing position were tested with open eyes with vision correction, afterwards with eyes closed, then without any vision correction. The last measured positions were performed on one lower limb with visual correction and then without it. Total number of measured positions were ten upright positions, each of which was measured with 30 second interval. Results: A total travelled way of centre of pressure was determined as a parameter of postural stability evaluating. Positions on one lower limb clearly put the highest demands for stabilizing upright positions. The only aggravation of conditions stabilizing this position should be to eliminate vision correction, which was confirmed in 8 probands from a total of 12. Under a bipedal...

Title Kinematics offootball's overhead throwing Aim of research The main aim of the research was to find out of the differences between two ways of soccer throw in from point of the movement performance. We eYaluated speed of the ball during the phase ofrelease, distance ofthe throw and the trajectory of flying the ball which has stated like the criterion of performance. Movement pattem was observed by means of the spatio-temporal interaction. Methods Observed group was formed by n = 13 soccer skilled soccer players. They executed oYerhead soccer throw-in by two ways: 1) static throw-in, 2) throw-in after run up. All throws was executed in line with rules of the soccer throw-in. The speed of the ball was stated by means of radar gun STALKER. The horizontal distance and trajectory of flying phase of the ball was diagnostified by 2D kinematics analysis and evaluation of the throwing technique was realized by 3D spatial video analysis. Results The comparison of the two ways of soccer throw-in shows that higher speed of the ball during the phase of releasing and longer distance of throw was in favour of the way after run up thro\\ing. We found out the some differences between intraindiYidual attempts of the throws. It seems, that the key phase ofthis movement is backswing phase over the head and forward swing...
