Methodology of processing and archiving of aerial survey data in archaeology
Gojda, Martin ; Novák, David ; Kuna, Martin ; Vavřín, P. ; Bíšková, J.
The Methodology of Processing and Archiving of Aerial Survey Data in Archaeology is one of the outputs that concludes not only the research project Archaeology from the Sky, but also one of the stages of aerial archaeology and digitization of archaeological data in the Czech Republic. Both of these areas began to develop in the Czech Republic in the early 1990s, initially independently, and over time in ever closer cooperation. These two branches of archaeological work in the Czech Republic have undergone a deeper transformation in the past decade, which has meant the creation of an institutionalised research infrastructure, the Archaeological Information System of the Czech Republic, for the field of digital documentation, and a full-fledged move towards digital technologies for data collection, preservation, analysis and presentation for aerial archaeology. Nowadays it is hard to imagine aerial survey without digital technologies and at the same time the image of the country's archaeological heritage without attractive and professionally valuable aerial images. Having learnt from the natural disasters at the Archaeological Institutes of the CAS in 2002 and 2008, we now know that digitisation is the only way to save older data, to secure them from future loss and to make them fully usable (by making them accessible to a wide range of experts and other interested parties). Leaving aside the development of proprietary technologies, which will always be a task for a narrower circle of specialists, the development of digitisation in aerial archaeology brings two main challenges for most archaeologists working in this field. The first is the conversion and description of legacy, analogue documents into digital form, as old images can contain irreplaceable information that it would be a shame to leave buried in archives and exposed to the gradual loss of their informational value. The second challenge is to recognise the demands that the advent of the information society in general brings with it, i.e. the need for greater cooperation between professionals, sharing of information and coordination of professional practices. While the entire Archaeology from the Sky project focused on the first task, this methodology offers help with the second task. Methodologies of this type are now being developed throughout Europe, but they are not yet numerous and by no means cover all areas of archaeological work. Only a methodology (“Guide to Good Practice”) prepared in 1999 by the leading British institution Archaeology Data Service has been published directly on our topic, however, it is already evident from the date of its publication that it cannot fully cover the needs of today, not to mention the specific situation of Czech archaeology and its procedures. The European Archaeological Council's 2014 manual, which was also published in Czech translation, focuses on the archiving of archaeological data, but it is general and does not address the specific issues of aerial archaeology. Of the Czech manuals, only the 2017 Methodology for the Identification of Immovable Archaeological Monuments touches our topic in a marginal way. The authors of the presented manual and the members of the expert team of the Archaeology from the Sky project are convinced that this methodology will contribute to the protection of a specific part of the archaeological heritage in the Czech Republic. We also believe that thousands of aerial archaeological images, which are already available through the AMCR Digital Archive, will soon be joined by other collections, and that this fact will contribute to the development of professional research and public interest in archaeology.

Changes in the administration of Roman cities in the 2nd - 4th cent. AD
Vavřín, Pavel ; Marek, Václav (advisor) ; Burian, Jan (referee) ; Bednaříková, Jarmila (referee)
The present study is administration in the Abstract dealing with the development of city Roman Empire wi th focus put on the situation in its western part. Most important for treating this problem are legal sources, complementarily then narrative sources. The body of substantive law, however, is only fragmentarily preserved (in later codes), and narrative sources on the topic are strongly limi ted. Despi te all tha t, i t is mainly the status of local aristocracy (decuriones/curiales) that can be studied at relatively great length. Epigraphic sources help to follow up especially the areal development of municipal administration in provinces, but their potential for the study of administrative development is very limited, both materially and chronologically. The knowledge acquired from sporadically preserved constitutions of particular cities cannot be fully generalised, with regard to local specifics as well as chronological development. The study also leans on the results of research based on archaeological sources.
The Simulator for testing of Adaptive Control Circuits
Kadlec, Milan ; Findura, Milan (referee) ; Vavřín, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is considered by adaptive control circuit simulator with the base rules. System, which is regulated by a second order. Identification is performed using least squares. The controller is designed to compensate for the roots of the denominator of the system, thereby greatly simplifying management.
Software tools for testing of Adaptive Control Systems PSC . (Parameter Scheduled Systems).
Lebeda, Aleš ; Findura, Milan (referee) ; Vavřín, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on problems of adaptive control systems PSC and their testing methods. Content of this work is a model of adaptive control system PSC that allows user to design his adaptive regulator and tests on user engaged system with more states. Output of the model is the step response which allows user to judge own adaptive control system. After that user can change his suggestion and test it again.
Electrical Drives Predictive Control Algorithms
Mynář, Zbyněk ; Vavřín, Petr (referee) ; Václavek, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with the predictive control algorithms of the AC drives. The introductory section contains summary of current state of theory and further description and classification of most significant predictive algorithms. A separate chapter is dedicated to linear model predictive control (linear MPC). The main contribution of this work is the introduction of two new predictive control algorithm for PMSM motor, both of which are based on linear MPC. The first of these algorithms has been created with the aim of minimizing its computational demands, while the second algorithm introduces the ability of field weakening. Both new algorithms and linear MPC were simulated in MATLAB-Simulink.
Sensitivity analysis of different forms of state observers
Kadlec, Milan ; Findura, Milan (referee) ; Vavřín, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on the sensitivity analysis of selected kinds of state reconstructors. They are realized in a general form, via direct and parallel programing. Quantity that determines the quality of sensitivity is output signal difference of the reconstructor with the general form of the system. Testing will be based on different initial state conditions and on the parameters change of the feedback A matrix due to the rested reconstructors.
Algorithms of Electrical Drives State Estimation
Herman, Ivo ; Vavřín, Petr (referee) ; Václavek, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with state estimation methods for AC drives sensorless control and with possibilities of the estimation. Conditions for observability for a synchronous drive were derived, as well as conditions for the moment of inertia and the load torque observability for both drive types - synchronous and asynchronous. The possibilities of the estimation were confirmed by experimental results. The covariance matrices for all filters were found using an EM algorithm. Both drives were also identified. The algoritms used for state estimation are Extended Kalman Filter, Unscented Kalman Filter, Particle Filters and Moving Horizon Estimator.
Design of MIMO controler
Nevídal, Pavel ; Findura, Milan (referee) ; Vavřín, Petr (advisor)
Objective of the bachelor thesis is to acquaint readers with issue of multiple input and output regulation systems and show one of available methods of controller design for these systems. Thesis is separated into two chapters. In the first part there are explained basic terms from issue multiple input and output regulation systems and deduced matrices of transfers of control and breakdown. Second more extensive part attends to design of matrices of discrete controllers PSD. The meaning of requests for control (autonomicity and static invariantness) and deduced conditionals which follows on these requests is explained here. The quality of regulation via transient characteristics is demonstrated at the end.
Control of non-stable Systems
Heczko, Lukáš ; Findura, Milan (referee) ; Vavřín, Petr (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with control of unstable processes with two unstable complex poles using algebraic control with emphasis in value of the controller output. Thesis consists of theoretical introduction, including initial conditions with analysis of basic approaches to the control design with one or two degrees of freedom regulators by solving polynomial equations. Constrained control is studied more detailed. Optimization problem of „lowest fuel consumption“ is used for design of controller and is used for both degrees of freedom regulators with additional condition of zero variance control. Thesis includes some examples of control design by described method. Small library of MatLab functions were developed also to make the design more easier. Conclusions are made at the end and achieved goals are reviewed.
