Design and implementation of signal processing library using Android
Janovský, Martin ; Hudec, Antonín (referee) ; Trzos, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis solves the problem of design and implementation of library for digital signal processing on Android platform. It describes problems with development software on this platform. There is also a debate about portion of Android on market. It describes technologies and ways, that were used for developing an application. It also explains the efficient programming techniques, in some cases, offering alternative solutions and ways. Effectiveness examines from the perspective of processing power and memory consumption. Continues through analysis Android platform architecture, and some features of its system to the description of some of its parts. Gets up to the description of work with the audio data formats, or to work with files and various collections of data. Then description continues with functions and the application itself. The actual library is controlled through the user interface and some other functions. User select parameters of each signal to be processed. The signal can be generated or the recorded sound signal. After selecting the parameters of each filter, the user can play the output signal and observe the change. In other part different instruments are compared and discussed some improvements, which accelerate and improve the entire application. The conclusion summarizes the results and benefits of the entire diploma thesis.
OpenCL standard
Michlovský, Jakub ; Trzos, Michal (referee) ; Průša, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work discussed about the OpenCL standard, which can use video card for accela- ration intensice calculations. In first part is an detail analyze of architecture of standard and support by major hardware manufacturers and operating systems. In the second part is described a creation and implementation of the application for adjustment of the picture. Whole work is ended by comparative measurment of the time of recon to processor and on the graphic card.
Diagnosing Parkinson's disease from analysis of speech recording
Vymlátil, Petr ; Trzos, Michal (referee) ; Lněnička, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis is focused on diagnosing Parkinson’s disease from analysis of speech recording. Introduction of this work deals with description of voice production mechanism, it’s basic qualities and influence of hypokinetic dysarthria on speech. In next chapter, there is described voice signal and some methods of it’s preprocessing. Next part continues dealing with description of chosen individual symptoms, which are needed for PD diagnosing, followed by definition of chosen reduction methods and classifiers. There is a comparison of classify succes of naive bayes classifier, depending on chosen reduction method in last chapter of this work.
Application of graph theory to the design and optimization data network architectures
Římský, Adam ; Trzos, Michal (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This masters'sthesis deals with graph theory and utilization of this theory for design and optimization of data network structures. Introduction chapter describes graph theory in general view, i.e. fundamental terms used for graph description, graph distinguishing, etc. Next part describes graph algorithms, for example a shortest path finding. After this I write about actual routing protocols where the graph algorithms are used. Last but one part deals with queuing theory and final part describes practical presentation of using graph theory for design and optimization of data network structure in Matlab programme environment.
Modern Methods of Time-Frequency Warping of Sound Signals
Psychoacoustical Measurement of Binaural Hearing Characteristics
Novotný, Ota ; Trzos, Michal (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a binaural hearing issues (it means hearing by both of ears), a human hearing ability to locate position of a sound source at three-dimensional space and parameters that affect this ability. In the second part, it focuses on psychoacoustic experiment, its main features and errors that can occur and which affect a results credibility. Method of pair comparisons is described more closely here. The last part of this thesis describes a technical solution of experiment in Java environment. The application should have a graphical interface and should be able to register a new user and perform a psychoacoustical experiment. The process of experiment is following. The aplication selects a random position of defined virtual sound source on the defined range and it plays this sound into headphones on button click. The users task is to set the application controls, representing a virtual sound source position, that way, where the user hear the sound come from. On another button click the application plays the same sound, but this sound comes from application controls set position (set by user). User compares this pair of sounds and modifies the position of second sound source until these two positions are same. The application stores these results for later processing on another button click. Principles of generating testing sound sources (sine wave, narrowband noise and sound file with wav extension) and their 3D positioning by measured head model impulse responses correlation are described thereinafter. An ability of human hearing system to locate a virtual sound source in dependence on sound parameters is discussed in conclusion.

Modelling of closed space acousticsby the beam method
Ryšavý, Marek ; Orlovský, Kristián (referee) ; Trzos, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the modeling of room acoustics using the ray tracing method. The first chapter deals with a general description of the basic properties of acoustic environment (wave acoustics, statistical acoustics and geometric acoustics). Then are described methods of calculating geometrical acoustics (image-source method, ray-tracing method and beam-tracing method). In the second chapter of this work is described in detail ray tracing methods and algorithm for calculate room acoustic using this method.
