Baroš, Eduard ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Suchý, Jan (advisor)
The main object of this bachelor thesis is comparing characteristic properties of selected types of suspension affecting driving comfort of vehicles. The introduction briefly acquaints the history and purpose of the suspension. It describes the dynamics of vehicle suspension. It includes distribution, description of the construction and activity of the suspension elements, their use in conventional type of suspension and semi-active suspension system. Further classifies known suspension systems into categories and deeply analyses their properties. The result is a comparison focusing on driving comfort. The last chapter is dedicated to suspension developing trends in near future.
Design of controlled nozzle for high pressure RIM head
Sýkora, Petr ; Suchý, Jan (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of mixing nozzle regulation for high-pressure mixing machine for production of polyurethane products. The aim of this work is to design the construction of controlled mixing nozzle for mixing head Cannon while keeping interchangeability with the current nozzle. I solved the chosen goal by constructing a nozzle controlled with the same build dimensions by a stepper motor. Control is ensured by throttling the flow by turning the nozzle screw through the motor. We managed to create a functional prototype and create a table to convert the existing nozzle diameters to the rotation of the engine. The main benefit of this work is the creation of an automatically regulated nozzle required for fully automated machine operation.

Processing of magnesium alloys using selective laser melting
Kaščák, Pavol ; Paloušek, David (referee) ; Suchý, Jan (advisor)
The processing of magnesium-based materials with Selective laser melting technology is due to its high reactivity in the initial stages of development. This bachelor thesis deals with the elucidation of impacts of individual process parameters in processing of magnesium alloys on the resulting material porosity. The aim is to develop initial experiments for the shift in the processing of magnesium alloys by additive technologies. The theoretical part contains an insight into the SLM technology and an overview of the current state of knowledge of processing of magnesium alloys by this technology. By the analysis of the theoretical part, the main volume test of this thesis has been designed. The selected material for this test was the biodegradable magnesium alloy WE43. According to the author's knowledge, no research has been published on this alloy so far. Based on the results of the experiment, the dependencies of the individual process parameters were made on the resulting relative density of the samples. At the end, the outputs were compared with the literature.
Design of oxygen filter for 3D metal printer
Ondra, Martin ; Paloušek, David (referee) ; Suchý, Jan (advisor)
In medical branches alloys on the basis of titanium are commonly used, however, in some of the medical applications it emerged that the usage of alloys on the basis of magnesium is more convenient, for example in orthopaedic surgery for the implant fabrication. Managing of processing of magnesium using the technology Selective Laser Melting would enable to produce complex structures supporting the production of cells and recovery of bones. One of the problems when processing the alloys on the basis of magnesium is the production of residual oxygen. This problem can be solved with the usage of an oxygen filter that is integrated in the circuit of inert atmosphere. This bachelor´s work deals with the construction of this filter for 3D metal printer SLM Solutions 280HL v1.0. This device enables to filter up to 123 m3/h of the gas with the output purity 100 ppt (1,0 × 10-8 %). The device separates oxygen continuously during the whole manufacturing process. The construction of the device enables the attachment to other SLM Solutions company machines.
The construction of the magnetic metal powder separator
Papaj, Lukáš ; Suchý, Jan (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of construction for recyclation metal powder, which is used in multi-material 3D printing with SLM technology. More specifically it is separation of mixed metal powders by magnetic separator, which is capable of separating two powders with the same distributions. Based on knowledge from industrial separators and successful experiment method of separating with magnetic drum was chosen, on which is equally driven metal powder from vibrating feeder. In executed experiment was discovered, that the method is appropriate for separating non-magnetic powder but for high quality separation of magnetic powder must be adjusted speed of feeding. Next was processed drawing documentation for this variant. By this documentation can be separator assembled and used in laboratory for separating metal powders.
Vehicles pneumatic suspension systems
Černuško, Lukáš ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Suchý, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis contains division of dampers for motor vehicles and describes some main types. There is structure explanation of pneumatic suspension, individual parts description and their working in other section. Further there are derived equations for calculation of fundamental properties with simplified assumptions. Equations figure out spring and damping characteristics. Main goal is to determine properties which increase the driving comfort.
Production of Knives
Suchý, Jan ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This theses deals with cold weapons topic. The first part describes historical development of European swords and weapons originating from them. Further on the thesis presents material analysis and comparison of steels used for cold weapons production. It also shows different production methods including a brief note about the difference between forged and gringed blade. Then the thesis outlines differences among various blade shapes and how these shapes define their cutting characteristics and usage. The closing part of the thesis deals with blade geometry and grinding technology.
Processing of the Magnesium Alloys by Selective Laser Melting Method
Suchý, Jan ; Hort, Norbert (referee) ; Warchomicka, Fernando (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
Tématem předložené disertační práce je zpracování hořčíkových slitin technologií selektivního laserového tavení. Práce podrobněji rozpracovává otázku korozní odolnosti takto vyrobeného materiálu, relativní hustoty a mechanických vlastností s důrazem na použití v biomedicínských aplikacích. Uvedená práce podává čtenáři ucelený přehled o problematice 3D tisku hořčíkových slitin spolu s detailním popisem vlivu procesních a technologických parametrů na proces výroby slitiny WE43. Práce definuje korozní vlastnosti 3D tištěného materiálu s relativní hustotou 99.5 % s různými jakostmi povrchu. Výsledky práce posouvají dále poznání v oblasti biodegradabilních implantátů pro využití v medicínském prostředí.
