Sports conditions for senior students in Mlada Boleslav
Kuhnová, Jitka ; Novotná, Viléma (advisor) ; Marek, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Sports conditions for senior students in Mlada Boleslav Objectives: The objective of the thesis is to assess the current spatial conditions for sports in Mlada Boleslav for students at senior level, including the range of sports facilities available in the town. Results will be compared with students' opinions on spatial and material conditions for their locomotive activities in their schools. Their opinions will be gathered from a questionnaire. Method: Empiric quantitative research was carried out to gather the data, using a standardized questionnaire and a structured interview. The quantitative data was analyzed using the Microsoft Excel application. Results: Generally, sports conditions for senior students can be considered fair in Mlada Boleslav. Spatial conditions near the schools and economic background of the families, in particular, are showing very good results. The number of sports facilities and their condition are sufficient to the town area, especially favourable for organized sports. The conditions for free and unrestricted unorganized sports cannot be considered sufficient, due to lack of suitable sports facilities. This situation is being eased by sports facilities at the schools, which significantly contribute to students' satisfaction with sports conditions in the town....

Lower Cretaceous belemnites and their occurrence in Czech Republic
Vaňková, Lucie ; Košťák, Martin (advisor) ; Marek, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis deals with an complex overview of the Lower Cretaceous belemnites, and their occurrence in the Czech Republic, especially in Štramberk locality. First part provides a brief introduction to the Lower Cretaceous and to belemnite morfology with emphasis on internal skeleton especially of rostrum. Next chapter includes short review of morfometric analysis, which is the most important feature for taxonomy. The following part presents systematics and taxonomy of the Lower Cretaceous belemnite, and their paleoecological use as an indicators for paleotemperatures. There are also mentioned geographical occurrences and migrations of certain belemnite taxa and their stratigraphical evidence in the Lower Cretaceous sediments. The last part deals with the locality Štramberk, which is unique in the Czech Republic because of its stratigraphical evidence of the Lower Cretaceous belemnite fauna. Key words: Belemnites, Lower Cretaceous, systematice, palaeobiogeography, palaeoecology, Štramberk
Somatic characteristics of artistic gymnasts
Raková, Kateřina ; Krištofič, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Marek, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Somatic characteristics of artistic gymnasts Objectives: Compare somatic characteristics of Czech artistic gymnasts in the age of 9 to 13 with data that are indicated by International gymnastic federation (FIG) based on large global research for talent indentification for artistic gymnastic. Method: Data was obtained by mensuration of stature and weight. Complementary information was obtained by non-standardized questionnaires with semi-closed and closed questions that were evaluated by standardized statistic methods. Results: The result of this research are charts and diagrams that denote somatic parameters of artistic gymnasts in the Czech republic compared with data of FIG. The results of the survey that is focused on training will be also shown. Keywords: women's artistic gymnastic, somatotype, talent identification
Taxonomic position of the species Bactroceras sandbergeri (Barr.,1867) from the Czech Ordovician
Aubrechtová, Martina ; Marek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Turek, Vojtěch (referee)
Taxonomic position of the cephalopod Bactroceras sandbergeri (Barr., 1867) from the Ordovician of the Prague Basin was subjected to wide discussions and disputes in the past. The species was first classified within the genus Bactrites. Later, a separate, monotypic genus Eobactrites was defined. At present, the species is assigned to the genus Bactroceras. It belongs to the family Baltoceratidae, the genera of which are supposed to represent the oldest orthoceridans. The order Orthocerida is one of the most successful and most diversified cephalopod groups of the Paleozoic Era. In this thesis, a revision of Bactroceras sandbergeri has been made after a detailed study of about one hundred specimens. Attention was paid to those features, that are missing in the original species descriptions or that were neglected in the past. Special attention was paid mainly to muscle scars, structure of the siphuncle and morphology of the embryonic shell. The embryonic shell was originally described as Tretoceras parvulum Barrande, 1868. In addition, Orthoceras naufragum Barrande, 1870 was synonymized with the studied species and the species Orthoceras interpolatum Barrande, 1870 was assigned to the genus Bactroceras. Irone ores from the Krušná hora (hill)
Nič, Martin ; Marek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Čáp, Pavel (referee)
Krušná Hora near Nový Jáchymov belongs in Barrandian area to one of the most important localities with the occurrence of Ordovician sedimentary iron ores. Rich reserves of iron ore and easy access to this area was known and used since many centuries ago. Use of deposits laid the foundation for the rich history of mining and metallurgy in Křivoklátsko. The work is divided into two thematic parts. The geological section is devoted to the construction of tectonic bearings, its stratigraphy, mineralogy, petrology, lithology and paleontological finds. Briefly describes the development of this sedimentation area. Self-described history of the geological survey. The history of the use of bearings is described in the second part, which is divided according to individual companies engaged in mining there. Particular attention is paid especially to companies conducting mining during the 20th century. Self-described termination of mining and mine disposal. Attention is paid to the technical equipment of the mine and the current state of the remains of the mining activities.
