- 111 - PROHIBITION OF DISCRIMINATION BASED ON SEX IN LABOUR-LAW RELATIONS This diploma paper deals with the prohibition of discrimination based on sex in labour-law relations. Its main objective was to present a comprehensive construction of legal regulation of equal treatment and equal opportunities for men and women both in the legal order of the Czech Republic and in the law of the European Community ("EC") and in public international conventions. The thesis opens with the explanation of general framework of the subject, it especially analyses the notion of equality and various approaches to this concept. Further on, the paper focuses on the demonstrations of unequal chances of men and women on the employment market, as well as on the historical aspects of women's status in society. Quite an extensive part of the presentation is dedicated to the definition of the fundamental concept of discrimination, its particular forms (above all the conception of direct vs. indirect discrimination) and exceptions to the principle of equal treatment. The explication is primarily based on definitions contained in the European directives (to the implementation of which the Czech Republic as a Member State of the EC is obliged), as well as on the relevant judicial decisions of the European Court of Justice ("ECJ"). Construction and technological project of the polyfunctional buildings in Olomouc

The aim of the diploma thesis is to make the detailed building-technological project of the polyfunctional buildings in Olomouc. The thesis contains a summary accompanying technical report, technical regulations, control and test plan. Next parts of the work are time schedule and an itemized budget of the polyfunctional building, time and financial plan of the whole building, calculation of the costs of operating the construction site, Occupational safety and health instructions, traffic situation around building, design of mechanical set, drawings of site equipment. Finally there is also situation of construction, pilot implementation scheme and construction details.

Family House with an establishment

The project solves a new family house with an establishment in a quiet location in the local area Loučka in Lipník nad Bečvou. Establishment is used as veterinary surgery. The building is situated in flat terrain. It is a detached building with aboveground two floors. The Construction system consists of masonry Porotherm, further insulated system Baumit Pro and horizontal structures Miako, also Porotherm. Roofs designed as single-casing flat roof with gravel flat and on two levels. The house is founded on primer passports.

Summer fluxes of nitrous oxide from boreal forest

Boreal forests cover almost one-third of the global forest area, and results of soil measurements show them to be a natural source of the important greenhouse gas nitrous oxide (N2O). Nevertheless, N2O fluxes from boreal tree species have been excluded from calculations of N2O exchanges from forest ecosystems. Therefore, our objective was to quantify and scale up the N2O fluxes from stems of mature silver birch (Betula pendula), Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), and Norway spruce (Picea abies), as well as from the forest floor of a boreal forest in Finland during June and July 2014. This study shows that boreal tree species emit N2O from their stems under natural field conditions and significantly contribute up to 8% of forest floor fluxes of N2O. Spruce trees seem to be the strongest N2O emitter among the studied tree species. Moreover, the N2O flux rates from both coniferous tree species increased with decreasing soil water content. This study highlights the necessity to include N2O fluxes from trees within the total greenhouse gas budget of forest ecosystems.
