Possible Approaches towards the Education of Taxes at Business Academies

The aim of this Master's Thesis is an analysis and evaluation of the contemporary Taxes Education with the main concern on teaching methodology. The Thesis has been divided into three parts. First part concentrates on Secondary Education system in the Czech Republic since an implementation of the School Reform in 2005. The second part deals with the subject Economics as the introductory subject for the majority of specialised subjects taught at business-orientated secondary schools. A general characterization of the subject Economics is provided in this section. An independent chapter dedicated to the teaching methodology (the traditional and modern one) can be also found here. The third part is focusing on the education of Taxes, specifically at Business Schools. It deals with the classification of Taxes into business schools education outlines, its content and its distinctive characteristics. The practical part is an analysis of my own research results; it deals with the education of the Economics and Taxes in practice. The contemporary Taxes Education at the business-orientated secondary schools is surveyed with a questionnaire (specifically at the Business Academy Kollárova, Prague 8, Karlín). Own teaching methods and pedagogical experiments carried out at the already-mentioned Business Academy are also described in this part.
Financial literacy in teaching economic subjects at secondary schools – processing didactic curriculum

The thesis deals with the level of financial literacy of secondary school students. At the beginning of the thesis I mainly focused on general issues regarding financial literacy, I explained the essence and justified the need for financial education. I describe current development and practices in the implementation of financial literacy in schools. I devote considerable attention to analysis of pedagogical documentation. My focus is not only theoretical but also practical comparing of financial literacy levels two fields of study from one of the same secondary school educational process and I suggest didactic processing the chosen topic. In conclusion I evaluated the problems of financial literacy.
Using of didactic technique in educational process

The bachelor thesis deals with devices of didactic technique. The aim is to describe contemporary trends in their using and to find out what didactic technique teachers have during the classes of economic subjects available and what devices they really use. In the theoretical part, I deal with development of didactic technique. I describe the most common devices of didactic technique and their advantages and disadvantages. The next section is focused on the most modern devices of didactic technique, mainly on the interactive board. There is also mentioned the project Vzdělání21, which is engaged to integrate the modern devices of didactic technique into elementary schools. The practical part is focused on the didactic technique at the economic high schools in Prague. Using a questionnaire I find out how schools are equipped, what devices of didactic technique teachers use. Then, I analyze how often teachers utilize them and in which part of lesson. Teachers answer also questions like considering different points of view, which technique is the most effective one. Training courses are also touched as a form of educating teachers in the field of didactic technique.
The use of modern educational technology in teaching of economic subjects

The thesis is thematically focused on the use of modern educational technology in economic education. The theoretical part is the classification of teaching aids and teaching techniques at a glanc from almost unsed means to the modern means of teaching techniques and their application in teaching. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the evaluation questionnaires. The research objective is to observe the application of modern teaching techniques of teachers at secondary schools in Jindřichův Hradec. Other questions are aimed at improving the quality of teaching, increased attention and interest of students in case of using educational technology. At the end, I try to find out whether teachers use their own teaching materials or finished.
