Dynamers based on the reversible formation of hemiacetals
Nosek, Vladimír ; Drahoňovský, Dušan (advisor) ; Míšek, Jiří (referee)
This work deals with the design and synthesis of building blocks, usable for creating dynamic polymers based on the reversible formation of hemiacetals bond. Next part is focused on the study of the formation of hemiacetal between polyfunctional alcohols and trifluoromethylketones via NMR spectroscopy. Key words: constitutional dynamic chemistry, hemiacetals, trifluoromethylketones, diols and polyols
Preparation and properties of bis(terpyridyl)oligofluorenes
Hrma, Martin ; Svoboda, Jan (advisor) ; Drahoňovský, Dušan (referee)
This bachelors thesis deals with the synthesis of bis(terpyridyl)oligofluorenes, that are suitable for the preparation of supramolecular polymers. The main aim was synthesis and characterisation of 7,7'-bis(terpyrid-4'-yl)-9,9,9',9'-tetrakis(6'-bromohexyl)-2,2'-bifluorene. As a starting substance was used commercially available 2-bromofluorene made by Sigma- Aldrich. In the preparation of the final ligand was used three reaction schemes, during the several steps used in the Suzuki coupling, or variations thereof.
Reversible interactions of pyrazines and photoluminescent dihydropyrazines
Coufal, Radek ; Drahoňovský, Dušan (advisor) ; Roithová, Jana (referee)
This thesis deals with two independent topics. The first is focused on the study of reversible covalent interactions of a carbonyl group with alcohols and water forming hemiacetals (respectively hydrate) derived from pyrazine trifluormethylketone. The main research method in this part is the NMR spectroscopy and experimental results are also supported by quantum chemical calculations. The second topic aims to the preparation and the study of photochemical properties of three dihydropyrazines which exhibit fluorescence both in solution and solid phase. The fluorescence can be influenced by means of complexation by various metal ions. Prepared dihydropyrazines also show interesting values of the Stokes shift. The structure of these new compounds was confirmed by X-ray analysis.
Direct arylation and its application in supramolecular polymer synthesis
Loukotová, Lenka ; Svoboda, Jan (advisor) ; Drahoňovský, Dušan (referee)
This thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part there is reported palladium- catalysed regioselective direct arylation of benzofurans with arylsulfonyl chlorides as the coupling partner to C2 carbon. The best reaction conditions of this reaction were investigated, then the influence of various arylsulfonyl chloride substituents to the reaction and finally it is reported direct arylation of C2-arylated benzofuran to C3 carbon to give diarylated benzofuran with different aryl substituents. In the second part, there is reported the synthesis of 2-(hydroxymethyl)-5,7-bis{5- [(2,2':6',2''-terpyridine)-4'-yl]thiophen-2-yl}-2,3-dihydrothieno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxin and modification of its sidechain. As a starting material of the synthesis it was used commercially available 4'-bromo-(2,2':6',2''-terpyridine). The synthetic sub-steps included Suzuki cross- coupling, bromination and C-H bond activation. Then it was also reported the complexation of synthesized oligomer with zinc and iron cations.
Preparation of fluorophilic building blocks for constitutional dynamic systems
Kretschmer, Jan ; Drahoňovský, Dušan (advisor) ; Jindřich, Jindřich (referee)
Perfluoralkylated and trifluormethylated aromatic benzylamines and benzaldehydes were prepared. The compounds were used for Schiff bases sythesis. Future observations with these compounds are planned. The Observations are going to be focused on imine-bond formation and phenomenon of fluorophilicity. Specifically, if fluorophilicity can affect selection of reacting partner in imine-bond formation. This observation could be useful for understanding how fluorophilicity can affect formation of dynamic combinatorial libraries. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Preparation of tris and more trifluoroacetylated aromatics as bulding blocks for constitutional dynamic systems
Nosek, Vladimír ; Drahoňovský, Dušan (advisor) ; Veselý, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the preparation of tris and more trifluoracetetylated aromatics, which should be used as building block in constitutional dynamic systems, such as branched dynamic polymers. The synthesis comprises the preparation of a series of aromatic methyl ester and subsequent nucleophilic trifluormethylation by Ruppert-Prakash agent.
Preparation of β-cyclodextrin derivatives usable for self-assembly on gold surface
Zima, Václav ; Jindřich, Jindřich (advisor) ; Drahoňovský, Dušan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the preparation of β-cyclodextrin derivatives which can be attached on gold surface via methylsulfanyl groups. The thesis particularly deals with the preparation and characterization of per-6-deoxy-per-6-methylsulfanyl-β-cyclodextrin and 2I - O, 3I -O regioisomers of its monopropargyl derivatives obtained by alkylation with propargyl bromide (3-bromoprop-1-in) and subsequent peracetylation. Key words: β-cyclodextrin, methylsulfanyl derivatives, propargyl derivatives, cyclodextrin derivatization, peracetylation, regioisomers
Imine dynamers based on pyrazine building units
Prusková, Markéta ; Drahoňovský, Dušan (advisor) ; Vohlídal, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with imin dynamer synthesis and model Shiff bases. Clasification of structure and ability to create dynamic hemiaminals are emphasised. Due to large number of electron-rich nitrogen atoms and π bonds we can assume, that these dynamers might be electron conductive.
