Visual odometry from omnidirectional camera
Diviš, Jiří ; Svoboda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Obdržálek, David (referee)
We present a system that estimates the motion of a robot relying solely on images from onboard omnidirectional camera (visual odometry). Compared to other visual odometry hardware, ours is unusual in utilizing high resolution, low frame-rate (1 to 3 Hz) omnidirectional camera mounted on a robot that is propelled using continuous tracks. We focus on high precision estimates in scenes, where objects are far away from the camera. This is achieved by utilizing omnidirectional camera that is able to stabilize the motion estimates between camera frames that are known to be ill-conditioned for narrow field of view cameras. We employ feature based-approach for estimation camera motion. Given our hardware, possibly high ammounts of camera rotation between frames can occur. Thus we use techniques of feature matching rather than feature tracking.
Problematika daňové kontroly a specifika komunikace se správcem daně
Diviš, Jakub
The diploma thesis deals with issues of tax inspection and communication with the tax authority. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis defines the basic concepts needed to analyze the tax inspection. The second part of the diploma thesis includes an analysis of the tax inspection and the communication with the tax authority. Based on this analysis is identified the main problems in the tax administration, and afterward proposed solutions to the main problems.
Information System Design
Diviš, Jiří ; Zmek, Bohuslav (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on designing an administration optimization in the IDM (Identity Management) system. The basis of the proposal is created by an analysis of the current state of the system at the University Hospital in Bohunice. The proposed improvement is bound to speed up the daily workload. The utilization of users' administrative rights and the correct access and rights setting in individual hospital systems will increase the security, speed and efficiency of the system.
Financing of a business - economic and legal issues
Diviš, Jaroslav ; Hraba, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Bažantová, Ilona (referee)
This final thesis deals with various ways of financing a business which are discussed from both economic and legal perspective. The purpose of the thesis is to provide an overview of main possibilities how to finance a business together with stating the related legislation. Different sources of financing are assessed according to their costs, accessibility, flexibility and other criteria. The financing solutions stated in the thesis are discussed mainly from point of view of joint-stock company. In some cases, the author points out also the legislation related to limited liability company. The thesis is divided into four chapters that are further subdivided. The aim of Chapter One is to provide a basis for the following chapters. It includes definitions of the main terms, short overview of the most important legislation which is relevant to the topic, different approaches to classification of financial sources and also the key factors which influence the choice between various solutions when financing a business. Chapter Two examines sources of financing which are related to shareholders' equity. Major part of this chapter deals with creation of and increase in registered capital. The question whether to pay out the profit to the shareholders or to use it for future development of the business is...
Life under the Goetheʼs Oak. The Concentration Camp Buchenwald in 1937-1945
Diviš, Jakub ; Randák, Jan (advisor) ; Michela, Miroslav (referee)
The theme and primary purpose of this thesis is illustration everyday life in the concentration camp Buchenwald. Buchenwald was a concentration camp where the Nazis imprisoned a lagre number of citizens of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The thesis will primary consist of three categories. First of all it is the issue of "the space", in which will be incorporated a brief outline of the development of concentration camps in Germany before the war, the function of administrative, technical and military buildings of SS units. Another theme of the thesis points to the physical labor of prisoners, which was daily content during their stay in a concentration camp. The purpose of their work should lead to rapid death with the lowest cost of their meals. In favor of or against the prisoners decided ideological-political, and economic aspects of the later mode. The concept of work in the Nazi concentration camps in successive years significantly changed, which were causing the preparations for war and the later development of the war conflict itself. The third theme contents the social relations and cultural life of the prisoners, which refer to the human adaptability in these inhuman conditions. In an effort to describe social days coexistence in this concentration camp is put emphasis on the...

Clusters of closely related documents
Diviš, Jiří ; Húsek, Dušan (referee) ; Holub, Martin (advisor)
This thesis focuses on automatic searching for clusters of topically similar texts in large text collection. We introduce an algorithm for nding the clusters and a method of optimizing its parameters using machine learning techniques. The algorithm is implemented and experimentaly evaluated. For evaluation we use a manually annotated collection of Czech documents, which contains a set of sample clusters chosen and tagged by a human annotator, and a huge collection of newspaper arcticles. Experiments show that the output of our algorithm ful ls our expectation and gives clusters of topically similar texts.
