Measuring the velocity of projectiles by laser beam

Muzzle velocity is the speed of bullets, guns at the moment it leaves the barrel of a gun. Since this is a parameter related to the storyline, which takes place only shortly after the bullet leaves the barrel, this figure is the transition ballistics. The aim of this work is to design and construct a device for measuring the speed. Measurement consists in measuring the interval at which the bullet crosses the two laser beams. From this data, the performance will be calculated.

Switching LED Driver Using Buck-Boost Structure

Control and driving high luminous LED is an issue that is dealt, because the technology of LED have grew in recent years. The power of these diodes is supplied almost always with DC converters. These converters operate on the principle of switching power supply, and they are devices with high efficiency. Because of the high efficiency of converters in combination with a high luminous LED leads to very efficient energy processing to light. This project describes how to select the right converter for a specific application of LEDs. There are described basic converter topologies, descriptions of their activities and LED wiring example to the converter.

Recording Plan Design in Movie Production

This thesis describes the design and implementation of an effective system for creating recording plan in movie production. The system creates a clear view on the data of all elements involved in the shooting of the film and finding the optimal data for each scene, trying to create an environment that facilitates film production up to the creation of recording plan.

Automated Software Applications Testing Process Improvement

The dissertation covers the process of automatic software testing. It describes fundamental principles of tests creation and presents common tools for concurrent integration. The main objective of the dissertation is improvement of the automatic testing process in the Department Corporate Technology Development Center of the Company Siemens Ltd., which was realized through the plug-in module for the TeamCity tool that makes reporting of test results more transparent. At the end of the dissertation, there are designed extensions of the plug-in module that could have a further benefit for automatic testing process by means of the TeamCity tool. The dissertation also includes the manual for easy installation of the implemented solution.

Information System Proposal

Because of a growing number of services offered by the Masaryk University to its students, and because of the ever-changing legislation of the Czech Republic, a need for an implementation of a new information system, capable of processing payments for university’s services, has arisen. The goal of this thesis is to analyse the current condition of payments at the university, consider users’ demands, choose an appropriate information system and project its implementation. It is utterly necessary to keep the costs of implementation at acceptable levels and above all the system must be able to be operated without the need for new employees. The proposed system must be universal because of various natures of services offered and goods sold, as well as it must be efficient. It is required that the system will be able to handle the growth of both number of clients and provided services.

Práce představuje v širším kontextu paradigmata servisně orientované ekonomiky a ukazuje jejich vliv na podnikové a firemní strategie. Pokouší se dát dohromady tradiční modely podnikových a firemních strategií s nově vznikající vědou o službách. Práce ukazuje hlavní myšlenky servisně orientované ekonomiky v porovnání s tradiční produktovou ekonomikou. Jako výsledek srovnání práce poukazuje na potřebu nového přístupu k byznysu, který vychází z aktuálního dění ve světě. Práce přináší sadu doporučení pro formulace podnikových a firemních strategií v servisní ekonomice. V praktické části jsou výsledky demonstrovány a použity pro strategii ve vybrané firmě.
