: Experience with alcohol use in 9th grade pupils at selected elementary school

The bachelor's thesis deals with the use of alcohol by ninth-graders at a selected primary school. The theoretical part explains topics that deal with basic information about alcohol, the history of alcohol and alcohol consumption in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, how alcohol acts on the human body, what are the positive and negative effects in the human body, how alcohol works in pregnancy and adolescents. Last but not least, the theoretical part deals with the types of addictions, types of prevention and subsequently their treatment. In the practical part, the main goal is to find out whether the students of selected primary schools have experience with alcohol, whether they consume it repeatedly, or vice versa, who have not been in contact with alcohol so far. To find out this goal, a questionnaire was compiled and evaluated, which was provided to ninth-graders at a selected primary school. A total of 81 pupils from all three ninth grades took part in my questionnaire survey. The research showed that most pupils already have experience with alcohol, especially girls than boys, for the first time at the age of 13 and 14 years. Experience of students of the faculty of education with the use of oral forms of tobacco and nicotine: an online survey

Introduction: To reduce risks, tobacco manufacturers have started to diversify their products. Nicotine can now be obtained from smokeless tobacco products, including oral tobacco and nicotine e.g in pre-filled sachets (snus, nicotine sachets). Students of Faculty of Education belong to a group of young people who can be approached by these products, and at the same time, as future teachers, they should be informed about these products. Objectives: The aim of the work was to find out the experience of students of the Faculty of Education, Charles University with the use of oral forms of tobacco and nicotine. Methods: Quantitative research was used to obtain the data. The research has been done using an anonymous online questionnaire survey in the Survio.com platform. Students were approached by e-mail, which is used by all students of a particular and a student Facebook account. The data obtained was processed in Excel. The questionnaire was divided into four parts. The first part of the questionnaire collected basic information on respondents (age, field of study, year), the second part questionnaire examined the experience of the prevalence of tobacco and nicotine use, the third part examined the experience of nicotine pouches and the last part examined the experience with oral tobacco use....

Nutrition in fitness and strenght training for determined group of people

In the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis, I summarized the essential information that relates to nutrition and expanded it with the specifics that comes with nutrition in fitness and strength sports. I described the components of nutrition that should be looked at in the diet-energy balance, macronutrients, micronutrients, supplements and water. I also described the compilation of a nutrition for athletes in fitness and strength sports. In the practical part, I assessed whether the respondents' diet corresponds to the findings that I described in the theoretical part of the thesis and at the same time issued possible recommendations for improvement. I obtained information from athletes in the field of fitness and strength sports through a document that contained a questionnaire part and a template for diet and exercise recording. I dealt with each case separately, the approach of the practical part is qualitative. Data on energy intake, expenditure and macronutrients are processed using graphs. The results showed that the respondents often had an inappropriate energy intake set, two had a completely inappropriate one, one almost suitable. Special needs of children with Type 1 diabetes at primary school

This thesis, entitled The Specific Needs of a Child with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus in Primary School, is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part deals with the disease of diabetes mellitus, mainly type 1 diabetes mellitus and the specifics of childhood diabetes. In the practical part I focus on identifying the specific needs of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus attending the first level of primary school. Research information was obtained through interviews with parents of these children. The aim of the research was also to determine the level of satisfaction of parents with the schools' approach and whether and what they would like to change about the schools' approach. According to the responses, all school staff should know that a child is diabetic and be able to help them with hypoglycaemia. The child should be able to tell their classmates about the illness, respond to glycaemia at any time and contact parents if necessary. A negative experience associated with diabetes in the school environment was reported by 6 out of 15 children. In contrast, the same number of parents were satisfied with the approach and found nothing they wished to change. Parents would like teachers to be more empathetic and better educated.
