Analysis of the force loading of the end mills with PCD considering their sharpening
Trčka, Tomáš ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
Measurement of the force loading is a significant type of measurement in mechanical engineering applied to analyse important aspects in the machining process. In addition to the determination of specific material constants, it is possible to analyse, for example, various machining strategies, geometries of tools or the degree of wear of the cutting edges of cutting tools. This master’s thesis deals especially with the last two mentioned aspects which are subjects of an experiment on end mills with PCD inserts sharpened by a different technology. In the introductory part the cutting forces are theoretically analysed along with their measurement possibilities and the technology of the production of the mills including their sharpening – WEDM and EDM-G. One chapter is concerned with the milling of plastic materials, as PVC was the material used for the workpiece during the experiment. The first experimental part is devoted to the analysis of sharpened tools followed by the measurement of forces using the piezoelectric dynamometer and the subsequent analysis of the influence of the different tool geometry. The last conducted experiment monitors how the overall cutting forces of individual end mills sharpened by different technology changed over specific milling time slots.
Contactless measurement of surface temperatures in mechanical engineering.
Merenda, Petr ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The topic worked out in this bachelor work focuses on implementation of the contactless measurement of surface temperatures among other ways of measuring temperature. It also focuses on analysis of temperature field changes during cutting operations in experimental measurement.
Modern cutting finishing methods and their use
Vičar, David ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with a summary of today's methods of finish machining and their inclusion in modern engineering production. It primarily focuses on technological characteristics of some basic methods - conventional and also unconventional. Furthermore, the thesis deals with machinery and tools used in these technologies, the advantages and disadvantages of various methods and their achieved parameters.

Force load of the cutting tools in milling
Vašíček, Jiří ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis is focused on measuring the power equipment for milling. The theoretical part describes the method of measuring forces with a deeper focus on the individual meter. There is also the description of the characteristics of the milling process. Experimental part is focused on the proposal of experiment of the face milling, its implementation and subsequent evaluation.
Application of CAD/CAM software for machining
Havran, Lukáš ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the application of CAD / CAM system in machining. It contains a brief search of the possibilities of programming in CAD / CAM systems. Software that were used in this work were Creo Parametric from PTC and PowerMILL from Autodesk. The practical part of this work is focused on the production of a copy of a physically existing component using selected systems. In this part, attention is paid to the creation of a 3D model together with production of documentation using the Creo program and the creation of the machining program in PowerMILL for the implementation of production at CNC machine. The proposed procedure is verified by graphical simulation. Part of the practical part is also the selection of suitable machinery and tools for the actual production. The conclusion of the work is devoted to the control of the manufactured component.
Application of measuring probes in machining process
Vrzal, Jan ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on measuring methods in process of machining. The object of this work is making summary of measuring methods. The thesis consists of two parts. First part focuses on measuring means for the inspection and the measuring outside the machine tool. The second part provides summary of application of measuring probes, which are used directly in the machine tool.
Draft of rotary part production technology
Lánc, Kryštof ; Trčka, Tomáš (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis is focused on concept of manufacturing technology for rotary part in case of mass production. The main aim was established suitable manufacturing technology for rotary part, choosing lathe machine, cutting tools and creating of NC program. The part of diploma thesis contains configuration of lathe machine in software Sinumerik. Document includes also the basic rules for developing NC program for two channels lathe.
On the cutting performace of selected process fluids in the MQL application
Měřené parametry během pokusů budou řezné síly, maximální teplota a drsnost obrobeného povrchu. Experimentální části předchází část teoretická. V této část jsou shrnuty poznatky týkající se problematiky procesních kapalin, aplikace MQL při obrábění, ortogonálního řezání, vrtání zmíněných materiálů a měření sil a teploty.
Force loading of cutting tools during the machining process
Vančura, Tomáš ; Trčka, Tomáš (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The theoretical part of the diploma thesis summarizes a knowledge of the force loading of the cutting tools and state of the art in the cutting force measurement. In the experimental part, work deals with the development of the software for a force records analysis. The main objective of the software is to automatise the processing and analysis of the measured force records. The functionality of the newly created software was verified by evaluating the circle-segment end mills experiments performed at the Institute of Manufacturing Technology of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, BUT.
