Mašková, Alžběta ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Feher, Jan (referee)
Title: The effect of Warm Up Protocols on Explosive Power Performance in Track and Field Objectives: The main aim of this thesis was to compare three types of warm up protocols and their effects on explosive power performance. Methods: This thesis tested 43 students of UK FTVS, who visited Athletic Conditioning lessons. The group consisted of 28 men (height 183,2+-/5,6 cm) and 15 women (166,3 +-/5,7 cm) aged 20-23 years. There was six measuring sessions separated by a week off. They performed a 800 m aerobic warm up mean run, followed by one of three types of warm-up protocols (static, dynamic, balance). Each of the warm-up protocol was performed two times in the opposite order. The experiment examined the explosive power of lower limbs and upper body/limbs. Performance score were recorded from vertical jump, a ball throw, and medicine ball front throw. Results: The thesis did not confirm any of the hypotheses. It was found that the active static stretching had a positive medium effect on medicine ball front throw by Cohen scale effect size compared to the active dynamic and the active balance warm-up protocol. Other tests did not prove any significant changes, positive or negative, of any warm up protocols. Keywords: Dynamic warm-up, Static warm-up, Balance warm- up, Testing, Explosive Power

Thema works: An overview of the different forms of warm-up before athletic performance in sprinting. Student: Bc. Dominika Zapaľačová Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan Ph.D Aims: The aim of this thesis is the study of scientific and professional literature and articles to obtain information on warming up before speed sports performance represented by quick sprinting. It is also to consider how subsequent various kinds of warm up exercises can affect the sports performance mentioned above. Furthermore, to use a case study based on selected research methodology to measure the speed of running locomotion after the selected type of warming up. Methodology: A method of literary research is used in the thesis, primarily using foreign literature but Czech literature too, obtained mainly from online databases and subject bibliographies. Also the case study method was used to measure the speed of running locomotion. Results: Conducting literary research has proved that speed sports performance might be greatly affected by the selected method of warming up. Most of the mentioned authors state the positive influence of dynamic stretching and they also recommend eliminating static stretching before speed sports performance. Measuring the speed of running locomotion has proved that the probands did not show any...

Theme: The comparison of tests parameters of Czech and world javelin throwers Aim: To compare test batteries of Czech and world javelin throwers from the past to the present time. To characterize individual javelin schools in the world and point to the differences between these schools and compare them with a Czech javelin school. Methods: Our work is mainly focused on the method of comparison. We use this method in result to answer some scientific questions. It was compared 25 elite javelin throwers in total with their average performance 88,84m. For data analysis we used basic descriptive statistics to compare differences between Czech and world javelin throwers. Further, it was also used for the method of research focused on searching of professional publications, training diaries and we also used the method of interview/dialogs between their trainers and competitors to characterize javelin schools and get tests parameters. Results: We can see from gathered results that the Czech javelin school took a different way to achieve this sport performance. That fact was shown in test results. The results of general test batteries of world javelin throwers were higher/better in average than the results of Czech javelin throwers. But the results of special test batteries of Czech javelin throwers were...

Javůrková, Jana ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Theme: Evaluation of stability level of athletes (14-15 years) by MFT S3 Check Aims: The aim of this diploma thesis is evaluation of stability level, sensomotor and pose symmetry of both-limb posture by MFT S3 Check system at a selected group of children attending an athletic club. I used the comparison of values between a group of girls and boys. Methodology: The level of stability, sensomotor and pose symmetry was measured in the course of the race season. The data was measured by MFT S3 Check system and further one leg stand test was used. Measurment was supplemented with a questionnaire survey. I used the comparison of values between a group of girls and boys Results: In the test MFT S3 Check the girls achieved above-average evaluation in the index values and stability sensomotorics than boys, who were evaluated in the test below average. The sum of the average values of divergences from the ideal ratio at both monitored levels were lower by 0.15 at boys. There was proved a medium dependence of body weight and BMI values on the level of stability. Shoe size, incidence of ankle injuries, nor the results of the one leg stand test had no impact on the level of stability. Key words: senzomotor, stability, symmetry, 14-15 years, athletics, testing
The impact of aerobic and anaerobic load at reducing the amount of body fat by the form circle training
Svoboda, Jan ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Title of bachelor thesis: The impact of aerobic and anaerobic load at reducing the amount of body fat by the form circle training Author: Jan Svoboda Supervisor of the thesis: Prof. Ing. Václav Bunc, CSc. Objects: The main goal of the thesis was to compare aerobic load realized by means of running and anaerobic load realized by means of circuit training and then determite which of those forms has a larger effect on reducing body fat. Methodology: To determine the amount of fats in the human body in percent was used indirect field method. Fat percentage was measured digital scales Tanita BC-545N. Probands have measured the intensity of training themselves by using their own sporttesters. Results: Anaerobic load realized by means of circuit training has noticeably bigger impact at reducing body fat than aerobic load realized by means of run. Key words: Aerobic load, anaerobic load, circle training 2

The possibilities of influencing strength of lower limbs in fire sport competitors
Miřátský, Petr ; Gryc, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Title: Possibilities of influencing the lower limbs force in fire sport competitors Objectives: The goal of the thesis is to find out the level of force and explosive force in chosen fire- sportsmen's lower limbs and to verify the possibilities of influencing its level with the help of a specific plyometric training. Methods: The research group consisted of fire-sportsmen whose level of muscle force and lower limbs explosive force was explored with the help of entrance tests. To find out the level of the lower limbs muscle force we used the Cybex machine, the level of the explosive force was tested on the Kistler force boards. We assessed muscle force of knee flexors and extensors, which was evaluated with the help of the moment of muscle force (circular motion) in a concentric muscle activity at an angular velocity 60ř·s-1 . In explosive force, we assessed maximum force and upward leap height produced. After the entrance tests the sportsmen went through an intervention programme consisting of a specific plyometric exercise. This intervention programme was concluded with an output testing, which was identical with the entrance one and the aim of which was to find out the current level of the parameters assessed. Results: The result of the thesis is a record of a muscle force and a lower limbs...

Title: Javelin thrower's training - self-assessment of performance development and training Aim: Assessment of my career, development of performance and evaluation of training in each stage of development. Methods: Research of specialized literature, retrospective analysis of performance tables, training records and interviews with coaches. Description and comparison of training strategies in each stage of development. Results: I have been a competing athlete since 1993. I threw 55.79 m at the age of 15. I surpassed the 70 meter mark after four years of training. I reached the finals of the World Junior Championship. Then, after repeated injuries, I decided to quit athletics. While studying at the university I started training again. After a year Jan Železný became my coach and within two years I reached the finals of the Olympic Games in Beijing. This gave me a new impulse to continue high level training. My basic general training was led by coach Lípa. The positive aspect of this stage of training was that I received a very good general performance base, Mr Lípa gave me a very good running and sprinting base and I benefit from this even today. Insufficient and uneven development of muscle strength was the downside of this stage. Specialized training was led by coach Jaroslav Halva. The positive...
