Policy of sport in relation to people with disabilities

The thesis deals primarily with the description, analysis and framing of public policy issues with regard to handicapped athletes. The main aspect of this work is to identify the most problematic areas with which disabled athletes normally meet in reality. The thesis also includes the state of the current sports environment in the Czech Republic. This condition is presented primarily with regard to disabled athletes. It is clear from other research that the position of disabled athletes is currently largely neglected. In the next part of the thesis it is important to find out how disabled athletes are designed in the Czech media. This is followed in the analytical part of the thesis is the analysis of the media situation with access to disabled athletes. The work brings an analysis of newspaper articles between the Olympic Games in 2012 and 2016. By analyzing newspaper articles creates the concept of the most burning problems with which work is finally being done. The key task of the thesis is to provide a holistic view of the overall picture of handicapped athletes in the Czech Republic. The Role of Integration Centers in the Frame of Integration Policy of the Czech Republic

The main aim of this bachelor thesis The Role of Integration Centers in the frame of integration policy of the Czech Republic is to describe and compare the position of integration centers operating in the Czech Republic. The thesis examines and compares the activities of integration centers working as non-profit organizations with the Centers for Support of Integration of Foreigners which are established by the state. It describes an integration policy in the Czech Republic, which aims to prevent the creation of closed communities of immigrants, a social isolation and a social exclusion of foreigners. The research was made as a multiple case study. The main target of this research was to find out how the integration centers contribute from the perspective of their employees to the process of integration of foreigners in the Czech Republic, mainly through the services provided and their promotion. The research found out essential problems of the Czech Republic's integration policy for foreigners from third countries. Involving users in the psychiatric care reform

The subject of this diploma thesis is the involvement of users of psychiatric care in the process of planning and realization of psychiatric care reform at the macro level of policy making. The aim of the research is to describe and understand this involvement. In the research are describer possibilities of participation in the phases of involvement, its form, purpose, formal regulation of opportunities, expectations of respondents, perceived power and barriers in involvement. The data was collected during interviews with key actors and studies of relevant documents. The results relate to the theoretical concepts of coproduction, patient-oriented care, strategic and human rights documents (the Convention on the Human Rights of People with Disabilities). The element of power is described through the typology of Sherry Arnstein's participation ladder. Evidence of interviews indicates elements of tokenism and disadvantages. There is a low (one-person) representation of users in reform bodies, lack of time for discussion in consultative bodies, lack of information and lack of capacity (people, time, resources) for greater development of patient organizations. The role of housing policy in gaining of independence young adults in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the role of Czech housing policy in the independence of young adults in relation to the problem of lack of adequate housing in the Czech Republic. This issue is investigated within the framework of the theoretical lifestyle concepts and the transition to adulthood. These concepts should identify the impact of lack of housing availability for young people during their life - both in the process of separation and in the transition to adulthood. The analytical part of this thesis describes the current situation on the housing market, which can be characterized by a lack of adequate housing, the main factors influencing the housing policy creation, and the tools of housing policy focusing explicitly or implicitly on young people. In the empirical part following areas are investigated: the current housing situation of young adults; the barriers that young people encounter when seeking independent housing; the position of independent housing in the life of young people; the attitude of young people towards housing policy according to their age category. Transformation of social services for people with disabilities in the context of deinstitutionalization

This diploma thesis looks into the transformation of social services for people with disabilities in the context of deinstitutionalization in the Czech Republic. To answer the research goals (1) To find out how the main transformation processes in the field of social services policy in the Czech Republic were performed in the context of deinstitutionalization, focusing on a group of people with disabilities, (2) to find out by the optics of SKCP, how are people with disabilities involved in the deinstitutionalization policy of the residential social services, the approach of qualitative research was used. The approach is based on the document analysis and the expert research. The theoretical starting points of this thesis are the theory of implementation and the components of the theoretical framework of target population's social construction, focusing on political power. System of the foster care for a temporary period in the Czech republic

This diploma thesis deals with the foster care for a temporary period. It examines how the legislation of this problamatics has changed since the reform in 2013 and how it is delivered into practice. The qualitative approach has been chosen for this research, using the primary and secondary data likewise. The primary data has been collected via semistructured interviews with three groups of respondents: the employees of OSPOD (the child's social and legal protection institutions in the foster care system), workers of nonprofit organization dealing with the foster care for a temporary period and parents for a temporary period. The respondents have been enquired with the questions based on the reviewed literature and articles. The whole system of the foster care for a temporary period, including its incorporation in legislation, is described in the text. The mentioned 2013 reform, important for the legislation too, is described as well. The theory of street-level bureaucracy and the theory of child development creates the academic basis for this thesis. Hospice Home Care in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the development of hospice home care policy by identifying key events and actors who express themselves in the Czech Republic about the issue of hospice home care. From a methodological point of view, a qualitative approach is chosen. The research design of the thesis is a historical case study that allows to chronologically capture key events of origin and development of hospice home care in the Czech Republic. The work uses both secondary data and primary data. Primary data were obtained by eight expert interviews with members of a professional society, hospice home care providers, insurance companyand doctors. The author explains the development of hospice home care in the Czech Republic from 1989 until present through key events. In addition, the author identifies key actors and their value beliefs in the area of hospice home care on the basis of advocacy coalitions theory. She further analyzes the creation of possible coalitions of these actors. The thesis, using the view of questioned experts, identifies the main problems and barriers of the hospice home care system in the Czech Republic.

Integration of Ukrainian migrants in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis focuses on the integration of Ukrainian migrants in the Czech Republic. In connection with the increasing emigration potential of the Republic of Ukraine due to the ongoing civil war, the thesis will be an analysis of the Czech Republic's current integration policy towards foreigners from third countries with an emphasis on migrants from Ukraine. Significant changes in integration policies started after the accession of the Czech Republic to the EU, contextual documents and other public policy measures aimed at systematizing the integration of migrants from third countries. Thus, the aim will be to analyze publicly-relevant documents, which outline the essence and determinants of the Czech Republic's integration policy towards migrants from third countries. The Czech Republic responds sensitively to migratory trends, but more emphasis put on current immigration from Ukraine. Therefore, another goal will be to unveil the integration policy exclusively towards the Ukrainians in the Czech Republic. Finally, the ultimate goal is to understand on the basis of the interviews, what barriers the Ukrainians have in the Czech Republic for integrating into the host society. The life course theory helps to identify what trajectories they choose to integrate in their individual dimensions.

Shared custody and its influence on family

The hereby presented bachelor thesis "Shared custody and its influence on family" deals with the issue of shared custody and describes its setting in the Czech legal system. It deals with its theoretical framework and its comparison with practice. It focuses on the specific problems encountered by parents in connection with after-divorce child care, namely problems with courts or communication with a former partner. Methods of data collection used in this work are desk research and analysis of data gotten from semi-structured interviews. The aim is to analyze the configuration of this policy and to define the main problems related to its implementation. Further, this bachelor thesis presents the perception of shared custody through parents' view and focuses on its influence on families. Theories and concepts used in this work are the best interest of the child, psychological deprivation and implementation theory.
