Superior detached house
Marek, Aleš ; Jarošová, Petra (referee) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
The house is situated in the real terrain in Brno Pisárky on Vinařská street. The building is rectangular in shape with flat roofed embedded into the sloping terrain. To accomplish this modern expression of the building, I applied to the object glass corner wall. Another notable element is the oriel, which also serves as a shield for the glass wall. Object color is white with a combination of gray.
Analysis of the highest and best use of a public services building in Brno-Kohoutovice
Marek, Aleš ; Klika, Pavel (referee) ; Komosná, Milada (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the less used method of valuation of assets. It is an analysis of the highest and best use (HABU). The theoretical part of this thesis presents the basic law governing the valuation of assets, there are also explained the basic concepts and discribes the analysis of the highest and best use method. The practical part of the access method of valuation applied to a particular case.
Franchising as a way of business
MAREK, Aleš
The bachelor thesis describes franchising as a way of business and focuses on history of franchising as well as the factors that support faster growth in the Czech Republic. It discusses the advantages and disadvantages from the perspective of the franchisor and the franchisee. Part of the thesis is devoted to the franchise contract which defines the relationships between the business partners. The data obtained from McDonald's are analysed. The purpose of this work is to characterize the company McDonalds and to identify the advantages and disadvantages in relation to other competitors on the market. A questionnaire survey and case studies are used for the research and the SWOT analysis is used to analyze the competition. The work finishes with recommendations for McDonalds.
Discharge plasma sources supported by magnetic field
Kolpaková, Anna ; Kudrna, Pavel (advisor) ; Marek, Aleš (referee)
This work concerns the low-temperature plasma diagnostic in the dcdischarge in the cylindrical magnetron in argon. For measurements Langmuir and emissive probes were used. The aim of this diploma work was the diagnostics of the radial plasma parameters especially with the improved construction of the emissive probe and the verification of it's use for the determination of the plasma potential. The work was also focused on the influence of the angle between the emissive probe loop and the magnetic field to the emissive probe data. In the experimental part the cylindrical magnetron system, the construction of Langmuir and emissive probes and the probe circuit are described. After that the software for the data acquisition created using Agilent VEE programming language and evaluation of probe data is explained. Probe characteristics were measured by the Langmuir probe in the dependence on the radial position. In such way the radial profiles of the plasma potential, floating potential and electron density were determined. Measurements were performed at different values of the pressure, magnetic field and the discharge current. The floating potential of the strongly emitting probe was used to measure the plasma potential at different magnetic field strengths.
The Role and the Responsibility of the Architect in the Current and Future Sustainable Design of Buildings
Marek, Aleš
This paper deals with the role and responsibility of the architect in the sustainable design of buildings in their lifelong cycle: in construction, operation, modernisation, and removal. The aim is to analyse and define requirements for the architect’s activities in the design stages. The paper discusses the demands and methods of integrated design, digitisation and robotics in the construction industry, and the use of BIM. The starting point is design practice and international requirements for the complex evaluation of buildings.
Role architekta v době digitalizace stavebnictví
Marek, Aleš
This paper deals with the changing role of chartered architects in the era of digitalization in the construction industry and the resulting new demands on their key activities during the design process.
The Pangea Mathematical Competition in the 4th year of the 1st degree of Elementary school. Solution analysis.
Marek, Anna ; Kaslová, Michaela (advisor) ; Jančařík, Antonín (referee)
Matematická soutěž Pangea ve 4. ročníku 1. st. ZŠ - analýza řešení AUTOR: Anna Marek KATEDRA: Katedra matematiky a didaktiky matematiky VEDOUCÍ PRÁCE: PhDr. NAME: The Pangea Mathematical Competition in the 4th year of the 1st degree of Elementary school. Solution analysis. AUTHOR: Anna Marek DEPARTMENT: Department of Mathematics and Didactics of Mathematics LEADING OF TASK: PhDr. Michaela Kaslová ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis deals with the problems of mathematical competitions in the Czech Republic. Mathematical competitions are structured according to pre-selected criteria. On the basis of a comparative analysis of the data obtained from mathematical competitions for elementary schools, it is possible to create a coherent picture of the current situation. With this context, the author advovates a relatively young Pangea mathematical competition. The main objective is to analyze data from the Pangea competition. Particular attention is paid to the tasks for the 4th year of the Pangea Primary School from the school round in the school year 2016/2017. The data obtained from 7 864 solverrs are analyzed both from the point of view of individual tasks and from the point of view of specific phenomena. Based on the data analysis, attention is paid to pupils' responses - the procedures for solving the individual tasks developed by 60 pupils of the 4th year of the 1st degree of non-selected schools. The work presents a number of new findings. All analyzes can be used...
Structure and properties of DLC layers for industrial applications

Diamond-like carbon (DLC) layers based on amorphous carbon are used for wide range of applications, mostly for mechanical protection of various industrial components. We examined DLC layers at micro- and nanoscale by two independent microscopic techniques: Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) with a good agreement. We compared DLC layers grown on steel substrate and Si wafer and found similarly structured clusters and a certain difference in the density of nucleation centres. The measurements of local mechanical properties by the AFM tip revealed that the Si wafer behaves as softer material compared to the growing DLC nanoclusters that also exhibit lower values in the map of the relative local friction coefficient. Finally, we observed changes in the Raman spectra of the DLC exposed to annealing at ambient conditions and found a gradual shift from the diamond phase to the graphite phase as a function of increasing temperature.
