Using mesh networks for control of charging stations
Šándor, Matúš ; Dvořák, Radim (oponent) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
Nowadays, electric vehicles are gaining attention all over the world. As a promising alternative for existing combustion engines and emission problems. The basic prerequisite for the use of an electric car is the charging of accumulators. Therefore, parallel to the introduction of electric cars, the development of the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is also expanding. New electric car models also come with new charging technologies that, unlike conventional fuel filling stations, operate on several levels. From a regular home outlet or a small charging station to public multi-standard fast charging points. The aim of the work is to create an overview of charging station management options. Next, the creation or selection of the correct protocol for reliable management of charging stations and a stable network topology, and finally, summarizing all the documents, a model of the network connection of charging stations was created, on which the necessary load measurements were subsequently carried out during the transmission of various data for the selected control protocols.

Application for communication simulation and visualisation in 3GPP 4G/5G mobile networks.
Fašanga, Jozef ; Štůsek, Martin (oponent) ; Dvořák, Radim (vedoucí práce)
Mobile networks constitute a key pillar of contemporary life, enabling connectivity regardless of location. This work focuses on the development and simulation of 4G/5G mobile networks according to the 3GPP standard. 4G/5G networks have evolved from simple voice services to sophisticated systems for data transmission. Simulation tools simplify the understanding of their complexity. The paper provides insight into the history and future of these networks, describing application design processes from both the designer’s and developer’s perspectives. The theoretical section analyzes the architecture and new technologies of 4G/5G networks. The final part emphasizes the field of graphic design for applications with a focus on aesthetics and user-friendliness. The work further describes the design of the application itself, along with an explanation of the correct choice of programming language and tools for implementation.
Asynchronous time integration while achieving zero interface energy
Dvořák, Radim ; Kolman, Radek ; Falta, J. ; Neühauserová, M.
This contribution deals with an asynchronous direct time integration of the finite-element model. The proposed method is applied to the phenomenon of wave propagation through an elastic linear continuum. The numerical model is partitioned into individual subdomains using the domain decomposition method by means of localized Lagrange multipliers. For each subdomain, different time discretizations are used. No restrictions for relation between subdomain’s time steps are imposed. The coupling of the subdomains is forced by an acceleration continuity condition. Additionally, we use the a posteriori technique to also provide the displacement and velocity continuity at the interfaces, and hence we obtain exact continuity of all three kinematic fields. The proposed method is experimentally validated using the modified SHPB (split Hopkinson pressure bar) setup.

Biometric Recognition of 3D Faces
Mráček, Štěpán ; Drahanský, Martin (oponent) ; Dvořák, Radim (vedoucí práce)
This Master's Thesis was performed during a study stay at the Gjovik University College, Norway. This Thesis is about biometric 3D face recognition. A general biometric system as well as specific techniques used in 2D and 3D face recognition are described. An automatic modular 3D face recognition method will be proposed. The algorithm is developed, tested and evaluated on the Face Recognition Grand Challenge (FRGC) database. During the preprocessing part, facial landmarks are located on the face surface and the three dimensional model is aligned to a predefined position. In the comparison module, the input probe scan is compared to the gallery template. There are three fundamental face recognition algorithms employed during the recognition pipeline -- the eigenface method (PCA), the recognition using histogram-based features, and the recognition based on the anatomical-Bertillon features of the face. Finally the decision module fuses the scores provided by the utilized recognition techniques. The resulting performance is better than any of utilized recognition algorithms.
Superresolution
Mezera, Lukáš ; Dvořák, Radim (oponent) ; Orság, Filip (vedoucí práce)
The goal of this thesis is to propose the super-resolution method for the image of the scene when multiple frames of the given scene are available. The theoretical part of this thesis brings the report about current multi-frame super-resolution methods. These methods are compared according to the optimal criteria. The own super-resolution method is proposed in the practical part of this thesis. However this method isn't rotation invariant and for this reason is proposed the improved super-resolution method. There are also suggested improvements of the improved super-resolution method in this thesis.
Physically-based Modeling and Simulation
Dvořák, Radim ; Racek, Stanislav (oponent) ; Šujanský,, Milan (oponent) ; Zbořil, František (vedoucí práce)
The thesis deals with the modeling of air pollution transportation and dispersion processes in the atmosphere, more precisely with the numerical approaches to solve such models. The modeling of air pollution has a great importance for prediction of the contaminations and it helps with understanding of the process and with elimination of its consequences. The models which are described by partial differential equations, namely advection-diffusion equations, and thus they can be solved by numerous analytical/numerical methods are in the scope of the thesis. In particular, well known method of lines (MoL) and several models based on it together with the possibility to accelerate the computation are studied in the first half of the work. It is shown that MoL approach is still suitable for many concrete models and it has a great potential for parallelization on graphics cards. Quite young ELLAM method and its application to solved atmospheric advection-diffusion equations is the second objective. A concrete form of ELLAM method and its proposed adaptation approaches are evaluated and it is shown that it overcomes the current state of the art methods in many cases.
