The role of communication strategy in nonprofit sector

New civil society organizations are those that are most often commercialized. Salamon (2005) discusses commercialization when organizations are motivated to offer services and products exclusively for profit. He presents commercialization as the penetration of market principles, culture and thinking into the non-profit sector. This phenomenon at NGOs serves the purpose of gaining financial independence and legitimization. On the other hand, the Center for Public Opinion Research (2019) published a report in which it was found that NGOs find themselves at the bottom places in a survey of credibility in selected institutions. The diploma thesis aimed to determine how NGOs should successfully communicate their activity to stakeholders to strengthen external credibility and gain financial independence and corporate culture. The research included techniques such as questionnaire survey, non- intrusive techniques and semi-structured interviews. The results have shown that the role of communication strategy is significant in the selected NGO. The NGO develops and evaluates the strategy annually and includes its entire organizational team. Cooperation of the profit and non-profit sector in the field of CSR

The thesis will explore the cooperation between the for-profit and non-profit sectors in the field of corporate social responsibility. The theoretical section will be divided into three main chapters, which will first present the overall theoretical conceptual framework of the non- profit sector. Afterwards, the concept of CSR as it is understood today will be introduced through an analysis of the literature. Above all, this part of the thesis will concentrate on the potential benefits of implementing CSR strategies in the organizations. The last chapter will deal with the actors that can engage in the field of CSR and will clarify how CSR-based actors can be linked in a cross-sector collaboration. In the empirical part of the thesis, we will look at how the concept of CSR is implemented by the company Albert Ltd. in cooperation with the Albert Foundation in its activities, what activities occur within the cooperation and what it provides for both actors.

The presented work deals with the role of civil society in solving indebtedness with an emphasis on civil counselling. It captures civil society organizations as an important part of society that operates between the state, the market and individuals. It describes the development of the issue of indebtedness in the Czech Republic. It maps the emergence of citizen advice and the development of the way citizen advice in general and more specifically in the area of debt issues. It describes the main actors in the field of debt solutions who operate among civil society organizations from the point of view of civil advice.

Cooperation of profit and non-profit sector in the area of CSR

Cooperation between the profit and non-profit sectors is a topic that is gaining more and more importance and visibility in today's society. Corporate companies are expected to return part of the profits they make to the community, thus fulfilling the principles of corporate social responsibility. Non-profit companies are interested in building relationships with the commercial sector because the resources coming from there are often a basic prerequisite for their operation. Through the analysis of documents, websites and conducting semi-structured interviews with respondents, I map the types of collaboration between Fandi mámám and the for-profit sector. At the same time, I focus on their evaluation and effectiveness, not only from the point of view of the non-profit organization itself, but also from the point of view of corporate companies. The thesis summarizes and evaluates the current types of cooperation between the organization, which is specific in its position as an intermediary rather than a recipient of aid. This has an impact not only on the organization's ability to help its clients, but also on the companies' willingness to commit to cooperation. Forms of cooperation of the non-profit organization Sue Ryder with corporate partners

Cooperation between market societies and civil society organizations is a phenomenon in modern society. On the part of companies, this cooperation meets the concept of socially responsible business, for the introduction of which companies may have different motivations. For supported organizations, this cooperation is one of the possible sources to develop their activities. Based on the study of documents and also conducting semi-structured interviews with respondents, I find out the forms of cooperation between Sue Ryder and market partners. In addition, the interviews provide an assessment of the different types of partnerships from the perspective of Sue Ryder. The thesis provides an overview of the most important forms of cooperation between Sue Ryder and companies and shows that this cross-sectoral cooperation can bring benefits, but also negatives for the supported organization.

Human resources management in nonprofit organizations (comparison of different types of organizations)

The work is focused on human resource management of non-profit organizations. The aim is to describe the similarities and differences of HR management in various types of non-profit entities. In connection with this is the theory of the non-profit sector and human resource management in general discussed here. HR processes are discussed in detail. The empirical part deals with the comparison of different types of NGOs. At first, there are tested several hypotheses based on the differences between the organizations, small and medium-sized. However, primarily, they are divided according to their functions to the service, advocacy and community. The empirical part consists not only of quantitative questionnaire, but additionally also of interviews with a representative of each researched category. As the result there is a summary of differences between every single type of organizations and description of three specific cases of human resources management in NGOs.

Project Trojan Cockhorse

Management of the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University considers opening a pre-school child care facility in a new seat of the faculty. The intention of this diploma work is to map and analyze legal forms of pre-school child care, needs of parents - employees and students of the faculty, and financial sources from which such facility could be funded; and then on the base of the analysis to design a solution suitable for the faculty. The solution has a form of a project plan, which, when approved, could be worked up and realized. Data needed for the project plan were gathered via analysis of documents, i.e. legal rules and web pages, and a questionnaire among employees and students of the faculty. According to the survey and in the case of available sufficient financial coverage, it would be ideal to establish at the faculty a facility with two children groups, each consisting of 15 children and a special children area of a 12 children capacity.

Effect of motivation on employee turnover in non-profit organizations focused on social care

The diploma thesis connects two different areas, namely the non-profit sector with the human resources management policy, which in the past has been particularly important in the profit sector. Nowadays, a number of non-profit organizations have undergone a process of professionalization, thereby narrowing the boundary between the profit and non-profit sectors and paying employees an important part of non-profit organizations. The diploma thesis deals with non-profit organizations in the area of social care provision, which are part of the whole social service in the Czech Republic, based on legislation. One of the goals of the work is to look at the reasons why employees leave non-profit organizations focused on social care and also what types of motivational employee benefits they use to prevent unwanted fluctuations in their employees. Disclosure of Entities Supported by Call no. 30: Web Sites Content Analysis

Virtual world is having an increasingly important role for us. Not only it affects our personal lives but also our shopping habits. Today it is more or less a necessity to be present online for many companies. The submitted work is the first exploratory analysis of websites content of social enterprises in the Czech Republic. This sample consists of 128 social enterprises, which were supported by a Call no. 30 "Social economy" of the European Social Fund. Supported organizations gain a considerable amount of funds for thein development. With incoming public finances it is necessary to raise a question of transparency and openness of these organizations. Work describes which information is available through websites of social enterprises, evaluates their level of transparency and monitors whether these organizations recognize themselves as social enterprises. It was examined whether organizations disclose information for which they could be described as a social enterprise organization that is in compliance with the principles created by the Thematic Network for Social Economy (TESSEA) a network, which created the first Czech definition of social enterprise. Civic Associations as Social Entreprises

The theme of my thesis is looking into phenomenon of social enterpreneurship in relation to associations. My aim was to determine how associations devote social businesses in the Czech Republic. The theoretical section is mainly used to understand the basic concepts and related to social enterpreneurship. Based on research, my aim was to find the ideal conception of social enterprise for the Czech environment. The empirical section presents examples of good practise through specific associatins and their business. I verify the ideal conception of social enterprise through associations and I am interested in whether that social business could obtain additional funding to associations. The escalation of my thesis are recommendations for associations on how to become a successful social entreprise.
