An overview of modern methods in manufacturing of prototype castings
Drápela, Jan ; Adam, Daniel (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
At bachelor thesis I deal with the survey of Rapid Prototyping methods which could be used for quick manufacturing of prototype foundry. Today number of Rapid Prototyping methods exist which could be used for many human activities. First part of thesis deals with general survey of Rapid Prototyping technologies.Second part of thesis deals with the using Rapid Prototyping methods at foundry.
Present state of investment casting technology - finishing operations
Malý, Václav ; Joch, Antonín (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The main objective of this work is to make list of finishing operations, which are used in investment technology. This work at the beginning describes common principles of this technology and then deeply describes first the finishing operations.
Present state of investment casting technology - ceramic moulds
Šmíd, Jiří ; Cileček, Jarmil (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused to the production of ceramic moulds and connected problems during the shelling process. The survey of materials and equipment is given in this work and also possible defects and their causes in the ceramic shells.
Present state of investment casting technology - wax patterns
Procházka, Zdeněk ; Helán, Jiří (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The subject dealt with in the bachelor degree thesis covers technology of investment casting with a special focus to the problem of wax patterns. Based on expert analysis, this case study focuses on the most advanced facilities and materials used for this particular phase of technology as well as basic methods of wax materials testing.
Comparison of different casting technologies from the point of view of achieving the optimal casting dimensional accuracy
Straka, Jakub ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to collect basic information related to the foundry technologies from the point of view of achieving the optimum dimensional tolerances. Following foundry technologies are mentioned in this work, i.e. investment casting, pressure die casting and centrifugal casting. All the above mentioned technologies are compared not only from the accuracy point of view but also from the economy of production, achievable casting weight, etc.
Cutting force analysis when drilling with twist drill
Hon, Pavel ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Theoretical part of this project contains basic characteristics of drilling technology, shows summary of drilling technologies and tools used for drilling, detailed description of twist drill, forces and loads analysis when drill, twist drill stress analysis. In experimental part of this project there are some investigations on twist drill geometry CZ001 made by company NASTROJE CZ, s.r.o. Cutting edge geometry and web thickness is measured on 3D scan of this drill and the results are compared to conventional products. Course of moment of cutting and course of thrust force is done by experiment where the recessed hole was drilled. Course of both loads is compared to long-term results on conventional drills. As application of the achieved results the cutting force position is calculated and stress and deformation analysis is performed.
Structure and properties of die-cast AZ91 magnesium alloy castings
Růžička, Josef ; Juliš, Martin (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with evaluation of the casting characteristics effect die casting Mg alloys AZ91 of aspect temper optimal mechanical properties, structure and foundry defect ratio.
Research and development of surface modifications of bearing steels by means of ion nitridation
Klimčáková, Kateřina ; Klakurková, Lenka (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
Basic requirements placed on rolling bearing components include the high fatigue limit, the wear resistance and the corrosion resistance. As full production of bearings from materials with these attributes would be quite expensive, surface modifications are used to improve mechanical characteristics. This thesis deals with application of layers to the bearing steel by means of ion nitridation. It studies effects of input conditions of the ion nitridation and of the surface condition on tribological characteristics of the bearing steel with the above mentioned finishing. The study employed the interaction light microscopy, the scanning electron microscopy equipped by energy dispersive chemical microanalysis, the hardness measurement by Vickers, the glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy, and methods of the phase analysis by means of the X-ray diffraction were used.
Design and Construction of an Effusion Cell for Growth of Ultrathin Layers
Křápek, Ondřej ; Voborný, Stanislav (referee) ; Mach, Jindřich (advisor)
This Bachelor's work deals with the design, documentation and construction of effusion cell for deposition of ultrathin layers of various materials in conditions of ultrahigh vacuum. After fabrication and assemblage the effusion cell was placed to an ultrahigh vacuum chamber (p ~ 10-5 Pa) where the first testing deposition of a silver ultrathin film on Si (111) substrate was performed. This sample was studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy.
Separation of rigid particles from heterogeneous suspension
Prax, Ondřej ; Debreczeni, Ondřej (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis contains a literature search dealing with the separation of solid particles from a heterogenic suspension. The first part is aimed at separation methods. Then, a chapter follows dealing with separation devices, which are used in waste water treatment plants. A more detailed description of the separator used for the separation of sand from waste waters is part of this paper. The described device serving to separate solid particles from a suspension uses the combination of sedimentation and separation methods. To visualize the separator a 3D model in Autodesk Inventor Professional 9 device was used in the presented paper.
