Memorial sites. Topography of the present memory of the nation and its reflections
Čermáková, Barbora ; Devátá, Markéta
The methodology deals with a methodological capture of the phenomenon of memorial sites as basic elements of memory studies. It shows how rules (criteria applying to inclusion) are determined, as well as the importance of naming exceptions (assessment from the viewpoint of the whole complex of memorial places, correlation of memorial places). The methodology also elaborates the description and documentation of memorial places and presents techniques that can be employed to process collected data, which are a necessary prerequisite for a professional analysis and interpretation.

Methodology for Evaluation of Main Squares of Small Towns for the Needs of Landscape Architecture and Urban Development
Ambrožová, Zuzana
The methodology represents a method for evaluating main squares for the purpose of comparison, problem analysis and identification of their value and phenomena. It provides guidelines for urban, architectural and landscape design applicable in future projects. The methodology includes commented graphic outputs and a form for field survey data that reflect in the text description, graphic representation and evaluation of qualitative traits on a five-point scale. The comprehensive typology of main squares comes with general principles for development, and examples of selected model objects on which the approach was tested. A clear methodology has a potential of becoming a database file as part of information systems and preliminary project preparation in urban planning.

Designing public spaces in newly set up residential complexes - with the emphasis on the garden and landscape architecture
Krátká Adámková, Barbara ; Magni, Anna
Construction of new residential complexes in the Czech Republic is heavily criticized for constantly absorbing the suburban landscape and dysfunctional public spaces. The methodology can be used both when planning new housing (the question to build or not to build, and where?) and in the design process of an optimal urban structure of a new complex, its architecture and public spaces, including both functional and artistic details. Possibilities of applying principles of landscape architecture are huge and their proper use demonstrably leads to creation of quality housing, in accordance with the place.

Methodics of identification of designed landscape
Kulišťáková, Lenka ; Kučera, Petr ; Salašová, Alena ; Flekalová, Markéta ; Matějka, Daniel ; Sedláček, Jozef ; Vítovská, Daniela ; Matáková, Barbora ; Lacina, Darek
The methodology of identification composed landscapes presents procedures, which are used to identify traces and signs of intentional creation of space according landscape architectural principles in today's cultural landscape . Landscape composition is still often involved in the organization of space, its identity and characteristics of the landscape, but ignorance of their composition and integrity leads to the disruption and damage caused by rough spatial development.

Konzervátorské a restaurátorské postupy pro daguerrotypii a příbuzné fotografické techniky (finální verze). Památkový postup - Npam a jeho ověření v praxi.
Borýsková, Štěpánka ; Hnulíková, Blanka ; Huňková, Anna ; Jůn, Libor ; Lesenská, Lenka ; Petrillo, Sandra M. ; Švadlena, Jan ; Vávrová, Petra
The proposed preservation procedure Conservation and Restoration procedures for daguerreotype and related photographic techniques originated as a research activity carried out under the NAKI programme of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic at the FAMU Department of Photography. Its fundamental principles and results have been examined within the framework of the MA studies of the separate field, the Photography Restoration, at the abovementioned Department. The procedure has been designed for professional conservators and restorers who are actively involved in the area of protection and preservation of photographic materials. This particular case concerned primarily the oldest photographic technique with a practical use – the daguerreotype – and some derived photographic techniques, such as ambrotype, ferrotype and others with similar problems regarding adjustment and framing methods, etc. Many of the presented practices and recommendations acquired more general character and should be applied in a broader frame of the photographic material preservation, and consequently contribute to more efficient care of the cultural heritage of the Czech Republic. The preservation procedure as a theoretical foundation is well applicable for custodians and curators of respective art collections and archival funds, and in addition – due to its origins within the university education – its didactic role is also significant. Together with a parallel research of other certified methodologies, it presents the most comprehensive methodological tool for the protection and preservation of the daguerreotype pictures in the contemporary Czech environment, including the application of the latest experience from abroad.

Model predicting the evolution of the prison population (PRISMOD)
Dušek, Libor ; Buonanno, Paolo ; Vávra, Jan
The certified methodology describes the newly developed PRISMOD simulation model and the software that implements it. The main purpose of the model is to project the evolution of the sentenced prison population in the Czech Republic over the next 10 years. The model adopts the inflow-outflow approach and models the prison population as a function of the underlying parameters that are estimated from statistical data. The key parameters are the number of crimes recorded, the probability of charges and conviction, probability of a prison sentences, the sentence length, and the probability of parole release from prison. The model also takes into account the prisoners that enter prison upon the probation, parole, or community service violations. The prison population is modeled separately by nine crime categories and by high-security and low-security prisons.
