Musical type - objective basis for reclassifying the system of Czech dance types

Complex musical analysis provides strong support in the process of potential classification of types of folk dances. Using the system of musical sings, it is able to classify all folk dances according to the individual types of tunes. An objective method, the analysis is thoroughly performed with every single melody.

The problem of money-lending became a point of interest for ethnologists in the mid-1990s in connection with the so-called "loansharking", usury or moneylending at inadequately high interest, which became extremely abundant among natural persons in the early 1990s, particularly in Slovakia. Dance records in collections of folk songs and dances of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and their fragmentary and incomplete nature pose many troubles for contemporary readers. They have to face varied terminology applied to a single fact, or by contrast, one name is used for steps comming in different melody, tempo as wel as metre/rythm.
