Assessment of species composition and abundance of juvenile fish communities in relation to the assessment of good water status at specified profiles along the River Oder
Jurajda, Pavel ; Jurajdová, Zdenka ; Šlapanský, Luděk ; Mikl, Libor
The aim of this report is to evaluate species composition and abundance of juvenile fish communities along specified profiles along the Oder in relation to the assessment of good water status, as a basis for updating the "Plan for the Upper Odra River sub-basin" in accordance with appropriate methodologies laid down by the Ministry of the Environment.
The survey of fish stock composition of selected pilot sites
Adámek, Zdeněk
The screening survey of fish stock composition was performed at the pilot sites of future monitoring, namely in the facilities of the Kroměříž Castle (reservoirs and ponds in the garden and park), Lednice Castle (park pond), Ploskovice Castle (park pond), Červené Poříčí (park pond) and Němčice reservoir (flood protection).
Preliminary analysis of reproductive success in the Northern chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) from NP Grand Paradiso
Poláková, Radka
Paternity analysis was performed on a study population of chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) from 107 feaces samles. DNA was extracted from samples using commercial kits (Qiagen). Based on analysis of 17 microsatellite loci was found that a 6 different males sired a total of 9 kids. Male M13_16 sired more than half the kids. Each of the five other males sired always only one kid.\n
The evaluation of the NJZ EDU intention on the legal aspects of the Law No. 99/2004 in angling grounds Jihlava 5B-C, 6 a 7-8
Adámek, Zdeněk
The prognose of the impact of nuclear power plant Dukovany reconstructions upon fisheries management of the Jihlava river angling grounds pointed out the negative effects of increased water temperature.
Toxic effect of fluorescence pigment on zebra fish (Danio rerio)
Poštulková, E. ; Mareš, J. ; Halačka, Karel ; Kopp, R.
The aim of the study was to determine the toxic effects of organic pigments Alizarin Red S and Alizarin Complexone on zebra fish (Danio rerio). For short-term acute toxicity tests on zebra fish concentration of 150; 300 and 600 mg/L were chosen for both dyes. Toxic effect of dyes was observed even in the variant with 10 g/L of sodium chloride. Addition of sodium chloride increases the deposition of dyes in the bone structures of the fish. LC50 values were analyzed graphically by using probit analysis. There was no mortality during the acute toxicity test with Alizarin Red S even at the highest concentration. Toxicity value (72hLC50) for zebra fish with a combination of Alizarin Red S + 10 g/L of sodium chloride is 546.42 mg/L. Mortality for Alizarin Complexone was 100% in 24 hours at\nconcentrations of 300 and 600 mg/L, with concentrations of 150 mg/L there was no mortality. In Alizarin Complexone supplemented with 10 g/L of sodium chloride was 100% mortality at all\nconcentrations up to 72 hours.
Seasonal dynamics of ergasilosis in reservoir fish
Jelínková, E. ; Krechler, I. ; Jurajda, Pavel ; Papežíková, I. ; Navrátil, S. ; Marková, Z. ; Kosour, D. ; Palíková, M.
We evaluated ergasilosis seasonal dynamics at two reservoirs (Hubenov, Korycany) in the Morava River Basin (Czech Republic). Samples of fish were obtained at monthly intervals between April and October 2014. In total, 189 fish of 11 species were caught using electrofishing and seine nets. Highest overall values for E. sieboldi infection intensity and abundance were recorded at Hubenov in June and September. Prevalence ranged between 80 and 100%. Two highest peaks of infection intensity and abundance were recorded at Korycany in May and the second around September and October, prevalence ranging between 33 and 100%. As the nauplius and copepod stages of arthropods form part of the zooplankton assemblage, they will be found at highest numbers in reservoirs with low predatory pressure, i.e. where predatory fish suppress zooplanktonophagic fish species.
Hodnocení rybářského využití koupacích vod v povodí řeky Moravy s ohledem na možné interakce s vývojem kvality vody
Adámek, Zdeněk ; Jurajda, Pavel
The evaluation of possible relationship between fisheries management and water quality in bathing sites in the Morava River catchment area, as presented on public web pages www.koupacivody. cz, was performed on an example of 24 evaluated waterbodies. On the sites, which belong to the angling grounds, an obvious relationship between the proportion of predatory fish biomass in fish yields (F/C index) and bathing quality of appropriate sites was recorded. Mean F/C values in fish catches, as the most appropriate criterion, amounted to 17.8 and 21.5 in bathing suitable water and bathing suitable water with deteriorated sensory properties, \nrespectively. It seems apparent that the bathing water quality reflects in certain extent the principal characteristics of fisheries management. In carp farming ponds, incorporated legally among bathing sites, this tendency was not so obvious and it seems that not even the intensity of supplementary feeding was the main reason limiting the suitability for bathing.
