Experience course for improvement in communication of youth with mentally handicapped

This bachelor thesis addresses the opportunities for social communication development for mental handicapped youths who use the personal assistance social service. The means used for communication development are practical experience courses. A questionnaire was sued for research purposes which proves that personal assistance is used by clients mainly in a school environment and for escorts. Despite this fact, demand for practical experience courses from assistants is considerable. Almost all of them consider them to be an opportunity for their client to get to know their client better, thereby improving the quality of the social service provided. Other research focused on comparison of individual plans for the users of the personal assistance social service. This research confirmed the importance of the work of personal assistants who have a demonstrable influence on the development of communication and socialisation of people with a mental handicap. Controlled interviews with clients demonstrated that the common intense experiences enjoyed during the practical experience course, converted into life experience, can have a positive influence on the relationship between the assistant and client. Comparation of intended and real dynamic of program of experiences course

This thesis is oriented to The Intensity of Experience and its role in The Dramaturgy of Experiential Courses. The main concepts: The Intensity of Experience and The Dynamics of Experience, are described in the theoretical part. At first, the author defines the concept of The Intensity of Experience, furthermore she describes diferences between The Intensity and Dynamics of Experience in order to implement both concepts into the context of Experiential Education. The second chapter is aimed at Experiential Courses, their background and history, principles of Experiential Education and Dramaturgy of Experiential Education Courses. The main part of the thesis is the third chapter, which is devoted to quantitative-qualitative research. This research is focused on The Intensity of Experience evaluated by the participants, which the author further compares with The Intensity of Experience intended by instructors. The research results indicate differences between The Intensity of Experience intended by the instructor and The Intensity of Experience that participants felt after courses.

Application of Experiential Pedagogy on Integration of Physically Handicapped People

The Thesis deals with the possibilities of integration of disabled people with the help of experiential pedagogy. It is divided into three topics. The first part is the naming the terms such as {\clqq}a disabled person``, {\clqq}integration``, {\clqq}experiential pedagogy``. The second part deals with the phenomenon of experiential pedagogy, its history, aims and principles, spectrum of experiential pedagogical activities. It tells what an experiential course is and it emphasizes the importance of the game in people´s lives. The essential part is the last one, which focuses on the practical use of the experiential pedagogy in integration of the disabled people. It informs us about the history and the present situation of integrational experiential courses not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. It specifies the charactaristics of disabled people and gives ideas about the metodology, preparation and realisation of integrational experiential courses. The outcome of the Thesis can be used for further compilation of metodology of experiential pedagogy of physically handicapped people.
