Distribution of grease in rolling bearing
Hynek, Jakub ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Šperka, Petr (advisor)
The work deals with the issue of grease distribution in a rolling bearing. Grease lubricated ball bearing in this way often experience the problem of starvation, when the contact area is not sufficiently supplied with lubricant, which leads to bearing failure. In general, this is a very complex and comprehensive topic. Specifically, the description of the effect of selected parameters on the distribution of grease in the rolling bearing was solved. The evaluation took place on the contact surfaces of the inner and outer ring and bearing balls. The average film thickness in selected areas at the point of contact and in front of it were evaluated. The method for observation was fluorescence microscopy. The effects of the percentage filling of the bearing with grease, the speed, the material and the design of the cage on the distribution and distribution of the grease on the bearing surfaces are described in the thesis. The result is information about the distribution of the grease on the raceways and balls of the bearing and their immediate surroundings. It was shown that the new experimental approach used makes it possible to evaluate the amount of grease available for bearing lubrication in a real configuration.
Types of rolling bearings wear
Kapusta, Juraj ; Košťál, David (referee) ; Zapletal, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to classify the rolling bearing wear from the very origin, the course in the operating state and the resulting quality of the component until the complete elimination. The design and subsequent production guarantee the life of the part, when the required working hours work safely. The designer's role in designing a bearing selection for a given bearing, lubrication and load transfer is to take into account all factors that could lead to damage. In practice, the customer's choice of bearing is recommended according to various computational methods that ensure optimal selection of a standardized bearing from the catalog. The individual parts contain values specifying the strength and dynamic properties that the customer can handle. The result will be a survey of several real companies, analysis of their implementation and accessibility of modules to facilitate the selection of the correct bearing. To do this, I try to make the issue of wear and tear accessible, which is related to the prevention of these undesirable effects.
Modification of experimental arrangement for bearings testing for application of acoustic emission method.
Suchanek, Daniel ; Mazůrek, Ivan (referee) ; Mazal, Pavel (advisor)
Master’s thesis is focused on modification of experimental arrangement for radial ball bearing contact endurance testing so that the diagnostic method of acoustic emission could be applied. There is an assumption that AE method is able to identify damage to bearings in earlier stages than the vibration diagnostics. Design modifications also allow the addition of modern vibrodiagnostic equipment to a system.
Comparison of methods for identification of rolling bearing failures
Kokeš, Miroslav ; Hnidka,, Jakub (referee) ; Klusáček, Stanislav (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is the comparison of selected methods and parameters for roller bearings diagnostics. Selected statistical parameters are kurtosis, crest factor, and parameter K(t). The other selected methods are envelope analysis, cepstral analysis, and ACEP method. These methods are implemented in LabVIEW software and compared based on noise resistance, computation speed, and overall capability of identifying roller bearing faults.
Influence of interference fit on Rolling Bearing life
Tetour, Stanislav ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
Master thesis is focused on the influence of interference fit on rolling bearing life. The first part of thesis deals with the theoretical knowledge, that is necessary for the solution. The influence of interference fit was investigated of inner ring on shaft and outer ring in housing bore for recommended tolerance classes. Interference fit was solved on cylindrical roller bearing and tapered roller bearing. Analytical and numerical approach was used for the solution. A static analysis of bearing was made using program ANSYS Workbench in numerical section. The output of analysis was maximum shear stress under the contact surface, which result is contact fatigue of bearing. Bearing life was determined by life factor, which indicates bearing life with interference fit compared to bearing without interference fit.
NVH Analysis of Transmissions
Gazda, Silvester ; Zubík, Martin (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design of measuring noise and vibration of vehicle transmissions. First describes the main parts of the transmission. This is followed by a description of sources of vibration and noise, and their travel. Significant work is devoted to analysis of the frequency spectrum, of its creation and evaluation. It also includes a description of the measurement and the necessary equipment, along with a description of the basic principles of its functioning.
Development of a testing system for evaluation of rolling bearings with variable lubrication parameters
Škoviera, Jozef ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Omasta, Milan (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the design of a test system for rolling bearings, which allows the change of the lubrication parameters (e.g. changing of the relubrica-tion interval). In the document, the reader first learns about the meaning of lubrication of rolling bearings, the possibilities of lubricant supply to the bearing (specifically for the supply of grease) and the possibilities of dosing control. Subsequently in the document is described the present state of experimental stations for testing rolling bearings, which is available at the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design. The end of the part about current state of knowledge is also mentioned the possibility of speeding up fatigue tests. In the next part, the author describes his own solution. The result is the design of an experimental station (for option to relubricate with grease), the creation of a lubrication control platform and the creation of a basic program. Part of the work is also verification experiments and drawing documentation.
Construction of reversible swirl turbine
Kosar, Jakub ; Štégner, Ladislav (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the construction design of reversible swirl turbine used in a tidal range power plant for bidirectional operation. The theoretical part provides an overview of state-of-the-art technologies in the usage of tidal energy, mostly by means of tidal range and stream tidal power plants. It also analyses respective designs of tidal turbines and their advantages and disadvantages. The practical part of the thesis demonstrates individual steps applied when examining loading forces and also shows the design method and strength inspection procedure of the turbine and its parts, especially of the impeller, gears, shafts and bearings. Lastly, the paper outlines the selection approach of the most appropriate water plant generator.
Design of the test rig for the observations of the lubricant distribution in the rolling bearing
Okál, Michal ; Hartl, Martin (referee) ; Košťál, David (advisor)
Given diploma thesis deals with the design and realization of a device whose purpose is to simulate real condition in the contact area of deep groove ball bearings. Direct observation of such area was then carried out. Initial part of the thesis addresses principles occurring in ball bearings, such as friction and lubrication and wear mechanisms. Several devices which are commonly used for bearing lubrication studies are then described at the work. Subsequently, author’s solution was introduced with the output of Ball-on-ring device. Ball-on-ring configuration is key feature due to its geometry since it enables to create identical conditions as those which occur in ball bearings such as contact pressure and velocities. Lubricant distribution by the contact area is analysed with fluorescent microscopy. Part of this thesis is a validation experiment and drawing documentation of the device.
