The Performance Evaluation of the Company using Balanced Scorecard

The diploma thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of the selected company XYZ, s. r. o. using the Balanced Scorecard method. The thesis includes three main parts. In the theoretical part, basic terms and knowledge are defined, which are important for the development of the analytical and proposal part. The analytical part deals with the introduction of the company and the analysis of the current state. This includes evaluating the financial situation and carrying out a strategic analysis of the selected company. The last part of the thesis is focused on the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard method, while recommendations and suggestions for improving the company's performance are proposed here, which are based on theoretical knowledge and the analytical part of the thesis.

This master´s thesis focuses on the design of the Balanced Scorecard model for the real environment of the company SEEIF Ceramic, a.s. The thesis contains a theoretical part in which the basic concepts are explained, including the Balanced Scorecard model itself and its individual perspectives. In the analytical part, the company is introduced and financial and strategic analysis is performed. Subsequently, based on the analyses, a proposal for the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard is made, which includes strategic objectives and benchmarks. This proposal should subsequently lead to an increase in the performance of the company.

The topic of this work is improving the performance of the company "Notino s.r.o." based on financial analysis of data for the accounting period 2018-2022. The first part of the thesis is theoretical, it presents evaluation methods. The second part of the work is analytical. In this part, data is analyzed and based on it, conclusions are drawn about the current state of the company and its trends. The last part contains recommendations for more effective financial management based on the analysis from the previous part, which should improve the overall financial situation.

The second part contains a theoretical overview describing the basic concepts and methods used in other parts of the thesis. The third part is devoted to the evaluation of the enterprise using strategic and financial analysis in the years 2017-2022. The last part of the thesis presents a proposal for the development of the enterprise in the form of an evaluation of the effectiveness of the investment in a new production hall.

The first part is theoretical and describes the necessary methods of financial analysis and economic terms, which are used as a basis for the second part. The second part contains the processed financial analysis, based on financial statements. Finally, possible measures and solutions to identified company issues are presented.

The diploma thesis is devoted to the evaluation of company performance using the Balanced Scorecard method. The analyzed company is Modikov s.r.o. The thesis can be divided into three parts, the first part is aimed at clarifying the theoretical knowledge. It describes the methods that can be used to evaluate a company and the next chapters are devoted to financial analysis indicators and strategic analysis. The practical part deals with the financial analysis of the company for the years 2018 to 2022, followed by the aforementioned strategic analysis. The last part is the actual implementation of the Balanced Scorecard method, which will help to improve the performance of the company.

This bachelor’s thesis deals with evaluation of the financial performance of Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s. from 2019 to 2022. The thesis is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, theoretical foundations are defined. The second chapter characterizes researched subject and evaluates the financial performance of the company using tools of financial analysis based on the findings from the theoretical part. The third chapter submits proposal aimed at improving the financial performance of the company in the following years.
