Use of infrared thermography in dairy cow health management
BERÁNKOVÁ, Barbora
The thesis deals with the use of infrared thermography in dairy cow health management. The research part of the thesis focuses on mammary physiology, thermoregulation, and heat stress management. It also outlines the issues of the most common disease in cattle with a focus on mastitis. The second part focuses on infrared thermography. It discusses its importance and application in operation. Subsequent chapters deal with thermographic cameras, the thermogram and the characteristics of live object measurements. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on robotic systems and their use in dairy farming. The practical part deals with the use of thermal cameras for mastitis recognition in dairy cows. On average, 800 dairy cows were included in the experiment and the observed data were collected from May 2023 to March 2024. For data evaluation, udder thermograms from dairy cows with the highest and lowest somatic cell counts were selected and compared with each other and statistically evaluated. The results of the experiment showed that the FLIR E96 camera with better resolution had a higher cumulative success rate of 71,43 %, which can already be considered statistically significant. Cohen's Kappa has a value of 0,407, which indicates a good correlation. In the case of the E6 camera, the cumulative success rate of the evaluation was 57,43 %. Cohen's Kappa has a value of 0,132, indicating very little agreement.
Thermography in engineering
Koten, Jakub ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This work deals with non-contact measurement of surface temperatures. The aim of the first part is to explain basic terms, principles and ways of measuring temperature. Furthermore, there is an overview of thermal imagining cameras usable in industry. In the practical part there is a theoretically suggested experiment, which monitors the dependence of the surface temperature on the size of the cross-section of the workpiece during the turning under unchanged cutting conditions. Experimental measurements are executed with using thermocamera ThermaCAM SC 200 and they are evaluated in software called Researcher.
Experimental thermocamera measurements
Jakl, Oldřich ; Číp, Pavel (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on the features and the principles of the measuring of the thermovision cameras. There is the identification of the basic notions and physical laws on which is based the operation of the thermovision cameras in the first part of my work. In the second part there is describtion of the function of the detectors of infrared radiation and the character of the output data of the thermovision camera. Further there are presented the experiments and the observations which bring us closer to the features of the thermovision cameras and help us interpret the data gained by camera.
Comparison of contact and contactless temperature measurement methods
Šváchová, Mariana ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
This work is focused on the description of contact and contactless temperature measurement methods. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical introduction to the problem and then describes in details contact and contactless thermometers, their use, advantages and disadvantages. The content of the second part of the thesis is practical experiment on selected examples, which are subsequently evaluated.
Non-contact measurement of surface temperatures during machining of metal materials
Trojan, Jiří ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with non-contact methods of surface temperature with machining metal materials. This work contains summary of basic terms and description of thermodynamics laws. Furthermore, the work present criteria for selection suitable measuring equipment. In the second part of this work is described experiment focused on drilling technology and measurement dependence of temperature on different cutting speed for different drilling approaches. At the end are presented the results.
Temperature measurement in electric machines
Halfar, Ivo ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis Temperature measurement in electric machines deals with beginning and exuding of the heat of electric motors and measuring of the temperature. The temperature is one of the most important values in diagnostic. High temperature could damage an isolation and it could tend to destroy of the whole machine. The temperature influences their magnetic properties on motors with permanent magnets. If you reach the Curie temperature it could come to its demagnetisation. Measuring of the temperature is important to verify allowable warming of motor or more precisely its spooling. The measuring of the temperature is needed for making motors with minimum of charges and its worth at the end. We could use two methods for measuring the temperature. It is contact and noncontact method. Warming and decomposition of the temperatures it is possible to appoint also with help of theoretic computations which are getting of the method of final elements. A lot of computer programs is using this method. Because of the existence of many sorts of electric motors, one of the viewpoints is the principle of working, another one is the construction. I concentrate on problems of asynchronous motors. In this bachelors thesis I have done theoretical calculation and contact and noncontact method of measuring of warming of the asynchronous motor.
Thermal properties of automotive light sources - Halogen sources
Hlubinka, David ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The aim of master´s thesis is to get acquainted with the design and materials used in selected automotive light source – tungsten halogen lamp. Further, the thesis focused on the theory and appropriate selection of the thermal measurement method on a real sample. Subsequently, a model of the light source and its simulation in the ANSYS – Maxwell 3D and Mechanical programs are created. Finally, the results of the thermal simulation and the non-contact measurement of the tungsten halogen lamp are evaluated
Intelligent Thermal Camera with Intruder Detection
Mysza, Róbert ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
Thermovision technology is becoming more and more widespread in monitoring and security applications. This bachelor thesis deals with its usage for object detection and describes methods and algorithms capable to do this. I also studied factors, which effects the human skin temperature. The design of the device, which sends images to the server and is able to detect an intruder by his temperature is part of this thesis. The last chapter contains evaluation of tests for detection reliability.
Non-contact temperature measurement
Negrová, Stefania ; Merenus, Ondřej (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with non-contact temperature measurement, which is currently used for thermodiagnostics and prediction of temperature behavior of machines. In the thesis is described a basic overview of contact and non-contact methods of temperature determination. It focuses primarily on thermography and its uses for machine tools and includes two simple and clear measurements use of thermocamera.

This half-yearly project includes basic briefing about thermovision technics and color models. Analyses functions and concepts for correct settings thermal camera on create images, which are included people. This work contains acquaintance with thermal camera EasIR-4, which was created database testing images, and with software Guide IrAnalyser shipped with this camera. The third part this project includes process about creating color models of skin and algorithm for identification people in thermal images, which emanate from human temperature and color skin. This algorithm is realized in program Matlab.
