Accumulator charging proceedings with detailed evaluation
Pálka, Antonín ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Němec, Zdeněk (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to propose a preparation for charging and discharging of accumulators. This preparation is suitable for demonstration of charging and discharging cycle of hermetical accumulators in teaching Electrotechnics, Physics and possibly Chemistry. For this charging and discharging I created user's assistance program with the help of visual system Control Web 5 with moduli of the contact DataLab and with the option of variants. Graphic expressions of the results are preferred in the form of time records.
River mionitoring system with GSM communication
Pačinek, David ; Šír, Michal (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master thesis is dedicated to system of water monitoring for use of alternative source power supply and GSM communication. The thesis carried out research on the possibilities to take measurements on watercourses, also detailed research of photovoltaic panel, available accumulators and their charging and a synopsis of similar systems. Furthermore, the master thesis also captures design and implementation datalogger device type with possibility to send measured data to the website.
Energy harvesting in wireless sensor networks
Pačinek, David ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis is dedicated to the power of wireless sensors for use of alternative sources of supply, which is solar energy. The thesis performed on description of photovoltaic panels, availible batteries and their charging. The bachleor's thesis also shows the design and implementation of the circuitry for solar battery charger and datalogger consisting of a microcontroller and GSM module.
Exercise bicycle for accumulator charging
Nekvapil, Jan ; Procházka, Petr (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is about possible solution construction of exercise bicycle with electric part working as a electric source. The first part of document introduces readers to issues about lead acid accumulators and charging, electronically commutated motors and electric converters. The second part shows potential solving constitution of exercise bicycle and we choose components and devices. EC motor will be connected with exercise bicycle by chain transmission. Transfer energy is realized through diodes rectifier to DC-circuit and then by boost converter to two lead-acid accumulators in series. Document show possible solutions of electric schema and circuit board with suitable electronic components. At the end of the document is compared existing similar products.
Exercise bicycle for accumulator charging
Nekvapil, Jan ; Španěl, Petr (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
Semestral thesis is about possible solution construction of exercise bicycle with electric part working as a electric source. The first part of document introduces readers to issues about lead acid accumulators and charging, electronically commutated motors and electric converters. The second part shows potential solving constitution of exercise bicycle and we choose components and devices. EC motor could be connected with exercise bicycle by flat belt. Transfer energy is realized through active rectifier and simultaneously step-up converter to DC-circuit and accumulators. At the end of the document is compared existing similar products.
Charging of lead-acid accumulator by pulse current
Jurčák, Tomáš ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
Most used and oldest secondary current source is lead-acid battery. This bachelor´s thesis provides short introduction to lead-acid batteries, to their distribution, structure, chemical reaction inside lead-acid battery and negative effects on battery. Next part is focused on charging of lead-acid battery, here is shortly described few types of charging with emphasis on pulse charging. Last part is focused on construction of experimental electrode and experiments with pulse charging.
Uninterruptible Power Supply with Solar Panel
Kreysa, Karel ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on a project and realization of uninterruptible power supply with the solar panel. The whole system will be instrumental towards supplying gauging radar station without any other possibility to get more electrical energy from the grid (230V). The most important argument for the project is the project is the effectiveness of sthe systems which should prevent losses in the network and unusing energy supplying by the panel. The aim of work is to create a scheme of a suitable leading storage battery type which will be used for saving energy made by the panel. Last but not least is to present the properties of storage battery to prevent wrong manipulating which could cause an effective life reduction or its total destruction. Then a circuit scheme of the back up system will follow. For this, a desk of printed circuits is going to be drawn up and set up. The final part of this thesis will concern a measuring of the whole system both in laboratory and real conditions and an analysis of the resulting parameters of the back up system.
Power LED control using ATtiny
Martynek, Tomáš ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
Target of this bachelor’s thesis is to develop suitable DC/DC converter for driving power LED with Atmel Tiny micro. There is PHILIPS white power LED – Luxeon Star/O as the light source used. Micro’s AD converter measures current through this LED. This value is used for current driving using PWM micro output. Whole device is accumulator powered, design allows usage of three AA alkaline batteries instead of NiMH accumulators. During design phase was choosing between 2 and 3 AA batteries power solution. Because of the longest working time, the final solution uses 3 AA batteries – in this configuration works the flashlight about 7 hours. Flashlight can charge NiMH batteries from external constant current power source. Micro controls whole charging process and disconnects accumulators from current source after full charge using method of negative voltage change. Timer method is backup method in case, when negative voltage drop is very small – the charging time is limited to max. 9 hours. Micro can detect bad or non-possible charged cells.
