Cooperation of Municipalities in a Region (Case study - region Benešov)

The purpose of this thesis is to identify different kinds of horizontal cooperation of municipalities in the region Benešov. It shows which factors are affecting this cooperation, sustainability and benefits for the regional development. The theoretical part provides definitions of the forms of the horizontal cooperation, which are extracted from the literature. There is described a chosen region and its towns and municipalities are introduced. Information is gained from selected documents, by analysis of documents and by interviews with representatives of chosen municipalities. The practical part describes the current cooperation of municipalities in that region, which can have various forms. For example MAS groups, associations, microregions etc. The result of this thesis is analysis these kinds of cooperation and possible proposal to beneficial management of cooperation.
Social care in conjunction with home care as public interest and basic pillar of elderly care in Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the security system care services and other related services, including informal care for seniors in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to evaluate, describe and offer a closer understanding of nursing as a basic social care service in connection with the principle of shared care in a natural home environment for seniors as the ideal form of care for the elderly at present and due to the demographic development in the future. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part covers three main topics: day care service system in the Czech Republic, seniors as a target group of caring and sharing and municipalities and their role in caring for the elderly. The practical part is devoted to the research, which focuses on the relationship of care services and communities from the perspective of potential service users, ie. the elderly. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods is used in the research and interprets the results of the survey conducted among the elderly in three senior clubs in Prague 17. The research complements the findings mentioned in the theoretical part.
Forms of Co-operation Between Municipalities

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the problematics of municipalities in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis studies forms in which the municipalities can co-operate, legal measures, reasons and motivation that lead them towards the formation of collaboration. The second part of the thesis studies a chosen representative sample of villages and uses a questionnare method to research the reasons for collaboration and the most frequent form of co-operation. In the concluding part of the thesis, there are determined pros and cons of the sample.
The analysis of members of Euroregion Glacensis

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the possibilities of municipal cooperation in the Czech Republic with municipalities of other states, primarily on euroregions. The aim is to determine main benefits to municipalities from their membership in Euroregion Glacensis and to assess their involvement in cross-border cooperation. The theoretical part generally describes cooperation of Czech municipalities with municipalities of other states, including the possibilities of cooperation. Afterwards one particular form of cooperation (euroregions) is discussed. The Czech-Polish euroregion -- Euroregion Glacensis is a good example to show how euroregions work and what they do. The practical part is dedicated to analysis of members in Euroregion Glacensis. Their developing, structure and involvement in cross-border cooperation is shown there. The part of this work is also own research among members of Euroregion Glacensis.
