The Rings
Cendelínová, Kateřina ; Záhora, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The project with the title “The Rings” is a simple card game designed for two players. The theme and content of the game is thematically related to rings, which I have been working on for a long time (also on the material level of jewellery making). The card game can be played by players of any age, but I primarily targeted preschool and school-age children. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to introduce children to the craft of ring making in a fun way. An important element of the visual part of the game is the recognition of the images (illustrations) and their correct composition. This leads to the application of stylized drawings that illustrate selected parts of the ring-making process.

Tarot as a game
Koudelková, Tereza ; Vlková, Veronika (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The Cosmic tarot is an author´s iteration of 78 tarot cards based on tarot used as a divinatory device, and attached game rules that enable a game for two players that uses cards as a main component. The work includes an interpretive book containing a manual for this set and explanations for individual cards. Format of the book is modified for use in the game. The resulting piece responds both to the pathos associated with tarot in our culture, as well as usual forms that can be seen in tarot. The card game made for this tarot iteration is used to establish a specific mood and experience between the players, which metaphorically quotes a form of communication between an expositor and an inquirer in the process of tarot seance - interpreting of the cards. Motives on the cards are inspired by the genre of fantasy and science fiction, particularly touching on a literary subgenre called science fantasy.

Medieval games in the eyes of children in the 21st century
FEJTKOVÁ, Ludmila
The diploma thesis deals with the approach of today's elementary school pupils to medieval games. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes the period of the Middle Ages and the representation of the game in the life of medieval people. It is about the importance of the game, the most famous classification of games are described and the play is described in the school-age pupils. The practical part of the thesis presents the course and results of the research aimed at determining the familiarity of students of school age with medieval games. Partial goals were to analyze the representation of medieval games in the school-age pupils' life and to determine how these pupils look at medieval games, even in the context of today's games. The research file consisted of 282 pupils of the 4th and 7th grades of elementary school. Three research assumptions have been formulated and verified by chi-quadrate. The results found point to the importance of medieval games in the lives of today's children, and the research concept itself offers suggestions for pedagogical activities in the context of the education of primary school pupils, in which the game has an irreplaceable role.
The Behaviour of Players behind Poker Tables
Beránek, Karel ; Hubinková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kuncl, Milan (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the behaviour of poker players, which can be encountered in the game of poker. In my work I am gradually engaged in non-verbal communication, verbal communication and the ethics of poker players. In the section of non-verbal communication, I analyse individual parts of the body from the most important for reading to the least important. I also deal with psychological effects that can greatly influence the behaviour of the players. In the section of verbal communication, I focus mainly on what verbal communication in poker can serve and how to use this knowledge. In the last part I present the issue of ethical behaviour. In the practical part I use the knowledge from my own research as well as the knowledge of the players who were willing to share with me their knowledge. I also use the analysis of the video which is available on YouTube.
