Automated Detection of Malware Activity on Local Networks
Pap, Adam ; Regéciová, Dominika (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this work is to analyze the network communication of malware and then identify suitable significant features that would allow to develop a suitable method for its detection. As part of the solution of the thesis, a dataset was created from which an IoC for each malware family were extracted. These IoCs were then validated through the AlienVault OTX platform, in order to verify their relevance. Metrics such as false positive rate, accuracy and sensitivity were used for evaluation. On the test data, the two IoC models created from the datasets achieved an accuracy of 99.337% and 94.732% for dataset 1 and 2, respectively. The IoC models of dataset No. 1 falsely classified 3.03% of communication windows as malicious in real communication. IoC models of set No. 2 classified 5.66% as malicious. After the samples of different malware families were run on the machine, the IoC models of set No. 1 classified 7.14% of the windows as malicious. Set No. 2 models classified 15.79%.
Evaluation of Investment with the Usage of Fuzzy Logic
Vaňková, Jana ; Šebestová, Monika (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the evaluation of investments in intangible fixed assets. The company VIKI, spol. s.r.o. is interested in a new storage space acquisition, and therefore the main objective is to choose the best offer by using fuzzy logic. Evaluation is done in Excel, particularly in the Visual Basic environment and in MATLAB. The output of the thesis is an easy to use form that can be reused for other possible offers.
The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Rating of Suppliers for the Firm
Baierová, Lucie ; Doskočil, Radek (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This Master's thesis deals with design of models for rating of M. K. R. plus suppliers of steel wires using fuzzy logic. The decision-making models are created in the MS Excel and in the MATLAB software. This thesis includes acknowledgement with theory, which will be used in the practical part for design of individual models. Current and potential suppliers of the company will be evaluated using the created models and their benefit to company will be assessed.
Integrated development environment for Artificial Intelligence Fuzzy Numbers Module
Pergl, Miroslav ; Hrabec, Jakub (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with mathematical operation with fuzzy numbers. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical knowledge of fuzzy arithmetic and defines fuzzy sets, fuzzy numbers, universum and five membership function used in program. In the concrete it describes – cut method for dealing with fuzzy numbers as with limited interval for specific level which simplifies computation. The second part of the thesis contains description of programmed module for mathematical operation with fuzzy numbers. There is described creation of user interface which is using to set parameters of computation. There are also described support functions which make operation with fuzzy numbers possible and operation ensures output.
NATO Transformation and the Capability Gap
Ruml, Ken ; Plechanovová, Běla (advisor) ; Karlas, Jan (referee)
The present Master Thesis is a macro-level comparative case study that addresses the problem of most member states' lack of adequate motivation to acquire innovative military capabilities and contribute them to the North Atlantic Alliance. There has been a significant gap between NATO's ambition and its military capability since at least the 1999 Kosovo Crisis. Even today, a couple of years after the adoption of the longawaited new Strategic Concept, which confirmed NATO's role in crisis management beyond its borders, the evaluations of the recent NATO operation in Libya hint to fact that the gap persists. The question is: what factors play the most significant role in shaping state behaviour within NATO and what can be done to stimulate the member states' proactive attitude? The problem is addressed through the prism of Neorealism, which emphasizes structural constraints of state behaviour, and Constructivism, which, for its part, highlights the importance of domestic factors, namely state identity. Based on the results of the fuzzy-set analysis, it is argued that the harmonization of NATO's and EU's capability development initiatives, as well as the eventual military integration of lower-capability NATO member states is most likely to reset the balance between the Alliance's ambition and available...
Fractal Dimension Analysis And Fractal Properties of Financial Markets
Jedličková, Marie
Financial markets are a subject of many studies and research purposes. The ability to correctly observe and describe the dynamics of financial markets would mean the possibility to predict its future behaviour. Many approaches and methods have been used to achieve this objective. In recent history it has come to light that many natural phenomena could be described using fractal geometry. Alongside with the fractals can be often found the application of fuzzy logic and also the theory of chaos. These three concepts are recently very powerful in describing complex system and getting closer to understanding them. This paper deals with the basic concepts of fractal analysis and also fuzzy logic and the possibility to use those to observe financial markets and analyze their behaviour. The purpose of this is to present the reader with introduction to the problematics and propose starting concepts to begin the research into the matter.
