Christmas Traditions and Customs in the Nursery School

The thesis focuses on the concept and realization of Advent and Christmas traditions and customs. The theoretical part is based on religious and ethnographic texts and focuses on the existence of Christmas traditions and customs in our country from the 19th century up till now. The practical part examines the role of today's kindergarten teacher as a distributor of traditions and customs. It shows teacher's and pupils' work during the period of Advent and Christmas, the teaching materials and to what extent teachers are aware of the meaning and the origin of these customs and traditions.

The position and concept of custom in contemporary international law Summary: The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the position and concept of customary law in contemporary international law. The terms "position" and "concept" are used in the meaning of the actual status of the custom within the system of sources of the international law, as well as in the meaning of "value" or "usefulness" of customary law in contemporary international society, also regarding the discussion of authors concerning increasing pace and extent of international relations as a potential ground for diminishment or refusal custom as a valid source of international law. The reason why we chose this topic is, amongst others, to show that even today, under contemporary situation, customary law still have the value within the system of the sources of international law, and its' position should not be abolished or even significantly diminished. The thesis consists of three main chapters. First chapter provides the look into the history, theory and position of custom as a socio-legal phenomenon in different legal cultures in order to describe the key aspects of the view of each of those cultures on intrastate (or intra-cultural) custom and customary law, allowing to stress certain similarities and differences. Drinking rituals among women on parental leave living in Prague

Background: Alcohol abuse among women on parental leave is a serious social problem. Scientific literature and research show motherhood is a risk factor for alcohol dependence. Women on parental leave can be considered a group at risk to addictive behavior. Aims: To investigate and understand the significance between the various drinking habits which exist amongst women who are on parental leave in Prague. To achieve this, the following research questions have been set: 1) Are there any characteristic activities, behaviours or experiences related to alcohol use that are repeated and have a ritual aspect? 2) What are the drinking rituals that occur amongst women on parental leave? 3) What do these rituals mean for the users? Methods: The data for the research aspect of the work was obtained using a qualitative approach. Information was collected from 25 respondents who had participated in the research via semi-structured interviews. The sample was formed by following a snowball sampling technique. Results: There were some stereotypes observed in the research group related to the consumption of alcohol. These are recurring situations and strategies. Ethical aspects of intercultural phenomenon of Czech Republic inbound tourism focused on Russian tourists

1 ABSTRACT This analytical-empiric study presents ethical aspects of the intercultural phenomenon in inbound tourism of Czech Republic focused on Russian tourists mapping topic which hasn't been covered in such a wide scope yet. The multicultural and intercultural definition of the words is described in great depth in the theoretical part of the of this study as the terminology is strongly ambiguous. The special attention is not only paid to the interests and preferences of the tourists but also to the history especially aimed to so-called "Russian soul" and delimitation of the position "we" and "they" and "they" and "we". The data, collected by quantitative and qualitative author's research, complete and penetrate the whole theoretical frame of the study. The research part contains quantitative (24 subjects) and qualitative (2 respondents) research. It detects ethic dilemma and presents the specifics of the Russian tourists in inbound tourism of Czech Republic. Customs and tax evasions

The batchelor thesis is focused on customs and tax evasion. It is divided into two thematic parts. The first part describes the general customs regulations, their development and compares the view of violation of customs regulations in selected countries. The second part focuses on the excise tax, contains a general description of the mechanism and than focuses on evasion of excise duty. End of this part analyses the impact of tax evasion on public finances. In conclusion is description of environmental tax.
The Importance of Custom in International Law

This Diploma Thesis deals with the importance of customary law in contemporary international law. The thesis provides description of sources of international law, focused on custom as a necessary source of international law. Further the history of international law is described. Finally a brief summary of cases settled by International Court of Justice where customary international law was applied is provided. The task of the work is to provide evidence that the custom is still useful and used source of international law. As a proof of this statement a range of ICJ decisions is mentioned and the process of international law codification and progressive development is described.
