High dynamic range rendering of virtual 3D scenes
Color-to-Grayscale Conversions
Pospíšil, Petr ; Brejcha, Jan (referee) ; Čadík, Martin (advisor)
Grayscale pictures were never replaced by color ones and will probably never be, because they are indispensable in many areas. In this thesis was chosen three methods for color-to-gray conversion. These methods was implemented afterwards. Within this thesis was also made test set of 24 HDR pictures, which was together with existing set of 24 LDR pictures used to test and evaluate features of implemented methods. These methods were also compared from the point of accurancy and preference using questionnaire.
Non-Linear Filtering of Large 3D Images
Škrášek, Michael ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design and effective implementation of nonlinear filters, bilateral filter and non-local means filter, for denoising 3D image data. The implemented filters are optimized by various techniques such as parallel processing, integral image, sampling etc. This thesis project includes cross-platform solution of these filters in C\# language and two demonstration applications -- a GUI application for Windows and a cross-platform console application -- demonstrating the use of the library. The performance and output of implemented filters were tested and compared against open source reference filters (Itk, scikit-image), with the 3D bilateral filter implementation being up to $30×$ faster than the available     implementation of the Itk filter and the implementation of the 3D non-local means filter is approximately $2×$ faster than the scikit-image implementation
Polygonal Models Smoothing
Svěchovský, Radek ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
Object digitizing or 3D model transformation into surface representation brings defects in the form of noise. This thesis analyses the well-known approaches to the noise elimination from polygonal models. The reader will be concerned with the fundamental principles of smoothing and foremost the results of the comparison of different methods including Laplace method, algorithm Laplace-HC, Taubin's low-pass filter and bilateral filter.
Image filtration effect on quality of subtractive angiography-based CT brain images of blood-vessels
Šipula, Samuel ; Nohel, Michal (referee) ; Chmelík, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design filtering methods for the resulting quality of digital subtraction angiography. The role of filtration in this case is to suppress noise and strong structures to enhance vessel anatomy. Real patient data obtained using a computed tomography system are available for this purpose. In this work, the emphasis is mainly on noise suppression. Individual filtration techniques were implemented in MATLAB. The work further acquaints the reader with the theory of vascular supply to the brain, its imaging methods and the description of filters as discrete operators.
Techniques Used for Image Smoothing, Blurring and Sharpening
Kubínek, Jiří ; Šilhavá, Jana (referee) ; Venera, Jiří (advisor)
This work is dedicated to methods used for digital image editing. It defines fundamental terms for this work as color space or noise. Above all, it analyses methods allowing image sharpening and blurring. It describes some of the most known algorithms from the theoretical point of view, but also introduces their implementation in C programming language. There are compared according to time complexity. The purpose of this work is to introduce digital image filtering and demonstrate elementary procedures used for their implementation.
