Harry Potter J. K. Rowlingové, Nevermoor J. Townsendové a zkušenost jiného světa v životě dětských hrdinů

The diploma thesis deals with the comparative analysis of two popular fantasy series: J. K. Rowling´s Harry Potter and J. Townsend´s Nevermoor. Within the theoretical part, the diploma thesis focuses on the main characteristics of fairy tales, Gothic literature, and fantasy. Motifs that connect the analysed series with the named literary genres are highlighted. Separate chapters are also dedicated to the authors of these stories. The practical part contains the comparative analysis of the following motifs: prophecy, uniqueness of the main character; space of the other world; friendship, help and obstacles; enemy; death; school and exams; family and love in selected works. The final chapter focuses directly on the main characters of the analysed series, their common and different features, and on the adaptation of child heroes in the other world.

Computational Methods for Comparative Music Performance Analysis

Zvyšující se dostupnost digitálního hudebního obsahu a různých interpretací hudebních děl zároveň podněcuje vývoj výpočetních metod oboru získávání hudebních informací (MIR). Tento rozvoj ale nemusí být vždy reflektován v souvisejících oblastech – například v analýze interpretačního výkonu (MPA). Hlavním tématem této disertační práce je využití výpočetních metod a digitálního zpracování hudby pro cíle MPA. Tato práce se zabývá principy MIR pro analýzu a porovnání rozdílů hudebních výkonů a jejich parametrů. Práce analyzuje limitace detektorů nástupů tónů a dob založených na konvenčních přístupech a na strojovém učení, při degradaci vstupního signálu, snížení vzorkovací frekvence, nebo v komplexnějších hudebních strukturách. Dále ukazuje možnosti použití hudební synchronizace, extrakce parametrů a výběru příznaků na originálních datech smyčcových kvartetů pro binární klasifikaci původu interpretů. Na závěr demonstruje vyvíjený software pro komparativní analýzu hudby, který kombinuje přívětivé uživatelské prostředí pro přehrávání, navigaci a vizualizaci dat hudebního výkonu s výpočetními metodami MIR.

Comparative analysis of professional texts on computer science

Cílem této bakalářské práce je srovnávací analýza odborných textů z oblasti informatiky. Jako téma pro materiály byla zvolena technologie VxLAN, která je nejčastěji používána v datových centrech. Prvním textem pro analýzu je článek z webového časopisu, druhým je technická dokumentace Request for Comments (RFC), třetím je video přednáška. Hlavním cílem této práce je prozkoumat vybrané materiály z různých pohledů a určit, do jaké míry se texty, psané a mluvené, liší v použití jazyka a jaké jsou jejich společné rysy. K dosažení tohoto cíle jsou materiály zkoumány z hlediska několika diskurzních rysů, mezi které patří funkce jazyka, styl a žánr, koheze, koherence a deixe. Práce se také zaměřuje na zjištění, zda jsou analyzované materiály typickými představiteli svých žánrů a stylů.

The first part is a brief introduction to the issue of benchmarking for water companies. In the second part are basic and supplementary indicators for selected water companies, analysis of selected companies, including historical development. In this work are processed data from 2011 to 2014.

Comparative analysis of professional texts

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje tři odborné texty z oblasti elektrotechniky. Prvním textem, který byl pro tuto analýzu zvolen, je vysokoškolská učebnice, druhým je populárně naučný vědecký článek a třetím technická přednáška. Všechny texty seznamují čtenáře s tématem operačních zesilovačů. Tato práce komentuje zmíněné žánry a jejich typické znaky, avšak jejím hlavním záměrem je analýza kohezních řetězců. Analyzována je jak gramatická a lexikální koheze, tak výskyt a užití klíčových výrazů v kohezních řetězcích. Všechny položky kohezních řetězců jsou vloženy do několika tabulek a je zjištěn procentuální výskyt jednotlivých kategorií. Vychází najevo, že v každém z vybraných textů lexikální koheze značně převažuje nad gramatickou, přičemž zajímavé rozdíly jsou dány srovnáním jednotlivých textů a kohezních prostředků v nich se vyskytujících.

Performance indicators of selected water utilities in Czech Republic

This Bachelor thesis id focused on comparative analysis performance indicators of chosen water companies in the Czech Republic. The first task of this assignment was collecting and processing of basic and supplemented indicators of chosen water companies. These indicators were recorded to the file created in excel. All data of all companies are freely available on the internet page: www.justice.org, where these companies are required to post their annual reports. In the first part of this bachelor thesis, organizations are described, companies and applications dealing with the issue of comparative analysis in the water companies. Representatives are elected from the foreign sector (IWA, IBNET, EurEau, EBC), as well as from the home sector (SOVAK, Metodika MZe, WaBe). The second part of this thesis begin with presentation of all companies, which is provided with comparative analysis. Analysis were from the biggest part processed by the application WaBe. For the better overview of this work, graphs made in application excel were added to this analysis.

Comparative analysis of the use of methodologies for properties evaluation in Germany for expert practice in the Czech Republic

The subject of the dissertation is the analysis of conditions for the work of real estate appraisers in the Federal Republic of Germany in comparison with the conditions in the Czech Republic with the aim of finding suitable practices that could be used for the work of experts in the Czech Republic. The thesis also includes proposals for suitable measures that can contribute to the development of expert activities in the Czech Republic, focusing on solving problems related to the determination of the exchange value of immovable property. This analysis includes the analysis of real estate types that are subject to assessment in the given area, approaches to solving valuation problems, methods that are used in valuing immovable assets, entities that are authorized to submit expert opinions, as well as content requirements of expert opinions.

Information systems form an inseparable part of all business entities nowadays. They differ only in their size and complexity. Therefore each company should have its information system whose setting is adequate and maximally effective. The aim of this paper is to analyse the information system of NET4GAS, s.r.o., identify its weaknesses and propose changes to enhance it in order to increase the company efficiency.
